    Checked. Looks perfectly fine on my iPhone6. No error messages or any other weird stuff.
    Everything loads fine…

    Hey Val!

    Its something that I hope to add again in the future, but right now I had to remove any kind of deep integration because it caused more problems than it solved (especially if there were 2 or more big plugins like woocommerce, yoast seo and wpml invloved)

    Hey!

    There are several reason I cant really believe that the theme update is responsible for you rank change. First of all: the frontend output has not changed a bit. Your source code looks the same with version 2.8 and 3.0.2. I can tell that because there is not a single template file that was changed and the template builder elements have changed only marginally (an extra div, or an extra class), certainly nothing that would cause google to kill your rank.

    I am also running enfold on several sites (eg: kriesi.at ) and our rank has not changed a bit. I think its more likely that you might be affected by one of the recent google search engine changes.

    It might be that the theme has worked better with yoast plugin in previous versions, but my guess is that somewhere in the last months they have changed something as well, because when I look at how the content keyword count in the backend currently works (a javascript counter that does not track the field where enfold saves the output of the template builder) its pretty much impossible that it would have ever worked with this way. So my guess is that not only Enfold has changed but the SEO plugin as well.

    Cheers!

    Hey!

    I am actually not sure what you mean by “Enfold not following WordPress practices” Enfold adds its widgets exactly like its recommended on the official wordpress codex page:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes

    If you have any additional insight or resources feel free to let me know ;)

    Hey!

    Google states that the description shown in the search result is not necessarily the description you used on your homepage. The description on google is tailored to the search term and might change depending on what and how you search…

    Hi!
    add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/ or to the quick-css panel located in your wordpress backend at Flashlight-> Styling:

    .sub_menu + div {
    clear: both;
    }

    We will add the fix to the next theme update as well :)

    in reply to: Yoast SEO Plug IN #343617

    Hi Ed!

    The latest issue (3.02) is a feature not a bug. I explain it in the thread. As for the other problems: I am afraid I have no idea why the theme and the plugin dont work well together and especially that the problems are so erratic and almost always impossible to reproduce for us.

    Thats the reason this takes so long, because its basically a try and error approach with each new release. It works fine for 99% of our customers and also for us.

    Every new version that I release works perfectly fine for me on multiple setups, yet there are always a few customers who report issues. I hope to figure that out but currently I can’t promise that the latest version will fix any issues that users are having.

    Best regards,
    Kriesi

    Hi!
    The warning occurs because I have added it to the template builder. The problem is that there is no way for the SEO plugin to properly fetch the content of the advanced layout builder. That does not mean that the plugin does not work with the theme. It just means that it can’t tell you right away in your backend about the content that has been used. Basically all that is disabled is counting the number of keywords in your backend and showing it to you.

    It will work fine in the frontend and google will see every bit of content as well as the enhancements provided by the SEO plugin :)

    Regards,
    Kriesi

    PS: If that wasn’t clear: thats a message we display on purpose. Its a feature not a bug. If we wouldn’t do that you would always see a zero.

    in reply to: Enfold and http://themecheck.org/ #342736

    Hey!

    Only thing that I can tell you is that the theme checks performed by this website are extremely arbitrary. Every theme on themeforest has to pass the themecheck plugin that is mentioned on the website, but this website itself adds so many questionable rules that I cant imagine that any theme with more than basic functionality can pass.

    Eg: It throws errors for base64encoding data or iframes within the code. Those are necessary for data import/export and video embedding. The plugin checks for those functions because people who rip the theme and upload it for others on pirating sites often add their own code or backdoors using these methods. Thats obviously not what we do, yet the themecheck.org thinks, that because these functions are available in the theme, that it has been compromised, which is of course not the case. Thats pretty much true for all the security errors and warnings…

    What you get in the end is an endless list of false positives because the website labels a ton of perfectly valid functions and methods as “evil”, without the possibility to distinguish if its used to add malicious code or for genuine features…

    Cheers!

    in reply to: Please contribute and translate Enfold #342539

    Hey!
    you would probably need to use a function like this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/load_child_theme_textdomain
    Or you can send us your additional translations and we will add it to the next them update ;)

    in reply to: Turning off Enfold back-end translation!? #341948

    Totally understand the issue but most people want to translate both front and backend. Those are obviously people who are simply using enfold with the one or two languages they know so i see your problem when it comes to managing 9 languages.

    I think the easiest way might be to trick wordpress into thinking that there is no translation file when in backend. You might want to try the following:

    If you are using a child theme copy the following function to your child themes function.php file, otherwise you need to edit it directly in your themes function.php file at line 241:

    if(!function_exists('avia_lang_setup'))
    {
    	add_action('after_setup_theme', 'avia_lang_setup');
    	function avia_lang_setup()
    	{
    		if(!is_admin())
    		{
    			$lang = apply_filters('ava_theme_textdomain_path', get_template_directory()  . '/lang');
    			load_theme_textdomain('avia_framework', $lang);
    		}
    	}
    }

    This change in the function (I have added the is_admin() clause) will tell wordpress to find the translation file when in your frontend but not when you are in the admin area. Let me know if this helps

    in reply to: LayerSlider blank after updating to Enfold 3.0 #338794

    Hi voinik!
    Please open a new thread about the issue since I dont even know if this is closely related to the problems these other guys are having.
    Please also post a link to your wordpress installation as well as your login credentials as private data so we can take a look at it.

    This thread has already been hijacked by too many people with different issues so I am closing it now

    Cheers!

    in reply to: Errors in new theme #338746

    great, let us hear if you got any follow up infos. If its indeed a problem with the theme and the server we would love to make it work but I am not sure what exactly we can do if it works for almost every other hosting environment :)

    in reply to: Template Builder is not working #338054

    The theme is indeed backwards compatible. Thousands of other uses were able to update without any problem.

    If you run into problems after upgrading thats very likely not a theme issue but a customization issue. When I update the theme I can not take into account every customization all of our user have ever made. How could I? Its simply not possible. So yes, if you did modify files its possible that you need to re-apply these customizations.

    As I said many times by now: I can only start to help when you are running the latest version of everything. If you dont want to do that thats fine but in that case we simply can’t help and I will close this thread.

    Hey!

    This is somewhat intended since the parallax section changes the background position all the time and the arrow at the bottom would not look nice anyways. on top of that its also not really possible to make both work at the same time with the current theme structure :)

    Yes, we are going to remove some of the deep integration with the plugin since it seems that is causing more problems than it helps…
    Will see if thats going to fix the issue :)

    in reply to: Bug report – Misspelled? #336967

    thanks, will fix it with the next update ;)

    in reply to: Featured images #336953

    Thanks!

    Had to modify a javascript file but I think it works now. You need to make sure to clear your browser cache when trying to upload an image for the first time (simply open the page and press shift and the browsers reload button at the same time)

    We will add the fix to the framework so you can do updates in the future without running into the problem again

    Cheers!

    k. Update will arrive later today or early tomorrow ;)

    Hey!

    I am afraid we cant make any exceptions when it comes to the distribution of the theme files. This needs to be done via Themeforest. I know this sounds like I am just greedy and want you to buy the theme once more, but the truth is that the problem you are having is quite common (external developer sets up the site and does not provide access to the account for updates) and if we would make an exception for each person with that problem, I would spend my days mailing theme files to hundreds of people by now.

    And with every other WordPress update there is usually a small thing or two that needs to be fixed in the theme, which would result in doing this again and again for the next few years.

    I am afraid thats no viable solution. So the only possible ways would be to get an API key from the person who purchased the theme in the first place, to convince Envato to somehow credit the purchase to a new account or to create a new account and buy the theme again.

    I am really sorry for that and hope you do understand.

    in reply to: Can't edit aspects of theme #336746

    Hey!
    Good to hear that we are making some progress.
    There should by a few images when installing the demo content but not the same amount of images as we use in the actual demo because of licensing reasons and amount of time it takes to import them…

    in reply to: What are these custom post types? #336713

    Hi momon!

    Its a framework post type that is used to store images. With the new gallery that wordpress added in version 3.5 it became less relevant but previously it made sense to upload images to such a post because the gallery option grouped images uploaded to a post. So for example if you uploaded 3 versions of your logo it would group them and it would be easier to select them if you change the logo.

    in reply to: Text block bug #336405

    Hey!
    If I am not mistaken this has changed with the latest wordpress update. The text field now expands automatically if a lot of content is inside. I am afraid there is currently not much we can do about this behavior….
