  • in reply to: How to modify H3-Headline-Size? #353968

    Hi,

    I almost got it, but it is still not working out!

    I do think, that Yigit’s first snippet is correct, but the “inherit” is not working.
    Günter’s snippets are leaving out the footer headings, and they are also leading to a different style, than the original widgetgettitel-css-stye like in the theme original like here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/sentence/template-files/sample-page/
    That’s due to the wrong values, choosen – I guess….

    So what I want is that my h3-css-changes are only effecting posts and nothing else. How can I do this?

    in reply to: How to modify H3-Headline-Size? #353165

    Hi Günter,

    that would be great!

    It’s all h3′s in the sidebar. Meaning the titles of all widgets with a headline in the sidebar:

    “Hebammenblog.de twittert:”
    “Hier gibt’s meine persönlichen Lieblingsprodukte:”
    “80 Wochenbett Tips: Das kostenlose Ebook zur Blogparade”
    “Hebammensuche? Einfach mit Checkliste!”
    “Hebammenprotest”
    “Artikelsuche:”

    Maybe there is an easier way than identifying each single id and creating a specific codesnippet for it?

    Regards,

    Boris

    Hi Yigit,

    nothing changed. I deleted the browsercache, too, just to make sure…

    It now looks like this:

    h2, #top h2 {
    font-size: 18px;
    line-height: 1.1em;
    margin-bottom: 4px;
    }

    h3, #top h3 {
    font-size: 14px;
    line-height: 1.1em;
    margin-bottom: 4px;
    }

    h3.widgettitle {
    font-size: inherit!important;
    line-height: inherit!important;
    margin-bottom: inherit!important;
    }

    btw: The fix from above worked right away!

    Hi,

    it worked the way it’s expected to work:

    Featured images are uneffected, since I already deactivated the lb there
    Single images work with lb now, but thats not what I needed,because I work with galeries.
    The question still is: Why did it work before the w3total cache update, and without that functionsnippet.

    The problem is diskussed on the web (googled it) but I did not find a solution or explanation.

    Still need hep! ;-(

    in reply to: Image Galerie fails due to W3TotalCache-Update #249830

    Hi Peter,

    thanks! I did not try this solution, yet, because I think this will add a rel=lighbox to ALL images in a post. And I just don’t want that :)

    Isn’t there supposed to be an option in the galerie config itself where I can toggle this on and off? Like in the featured media section?

    Any other idea how I can solve this? I guess a lot of theme-users with w3total cache must have this problem, too…

    Regards,
    Boris

    in reply to: Image Galerie fails due to W3TotalCache-Update #249136

    Hi,

    I just had access (gain) to an old version (in my developer surrounding) of my installation. There is no light box option, when editing the galerie. But it uses the lightbox anyways, when selecting media file as an option.

    Is there another place in the theme option to activate or deactivate the lightbox? I searched for it, but could not find a thing!

    Regards,

    Boris

    in reply to: Image Galerie fails due to W3TotalCache-Update #248698

    Hi David,

    thanks for your support!

    1) There (galerie options) is no lightbox option anymore! It is just not there! I can choose:
    Attachmentpage (Anhang-Seite)
    Mediafile (Mediendatei)
    Nothing (keine)

    2) I could not identify such plugin or option.

    3) Did not help

    Any ideas?

    Regards,

    Boris

    PS: Currently, there are (only) 3 dropins (advanced-cache.php, db.php, and object-cache.php) I think there used to be 4 recently, but I am not quite sure about that. Thought I’d mention it…)

    Hi Ismael,

    ok. I tried again and now it is set up and I get no errors! ;-)

    But: I don’t see a change! The “New Product Tab” is not showing up. What must I do do achive this?

    @Josue: Thanks for the plugin, but should not be the code from above enough for the first shoot? Or is it neccesary to add a custom field to get this running at all?

    Regards,

    Boris

    in reply to: How-To add Tab next to reviews? #222719

    Hi Ismael,

    i inserted the code, but the site is not loading after that. No error message.
    Any idea, whats wrong?
    btw: could you give me a hint, too how I get data into the new tab? I would like to insert editable text.

    Sorry, restarting the Yoast-Plugin solved the problem. Sorry, I was to quick, posting this issue.

    B.

    Danke! Werde erstmal mit W3TC testen, hatte das eh also Alternative auf dem Schirm!

    Danke! ;-)

    Hi Peter,

    wow! Super und endlich! ;-) Hab gar nicht mehr an den Erfolg geglaubt…

    Kannst Du sagen, woran es lag? Kann das Caching-Plugin das verursacht haben?
    Hast DU Originalcode wieder hergestellt, oder eine Anpassung gemacht? Welche und warum?
    Je besser ich das verstehe, kann ich bei Wiederauftauchen selbst anpacken…

    Ich würde das Plugin nämlich gerne wieder aktivieren – soll ich? ;-)

    Auf jeden Fall: Danke für die Hilfe. Das war ja ein echter Brocken!

    Beste Grüße

    Hi Devin, Peter,

    I just checked that: They said, that caching is not available for shared hosting customers. So I can answer your question with: no! ;-)

    Hope we can solve this, soon. Quite a weired problem…

    Hi Peter,

    done. I uninstalled the plugin completely following these simple instructions: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/other_notes/

    The problem is still there, even when posting a new comment.

    Regards,

    Boris

    Hi Peter,

    ok I deleted the old sentence files.

    Just for you to know:

    I also modified the tagcloudpart of the box. But I think this should not be a problem. Here is what I did:
    Tagcloud Blasengrößenanpassung:
    Framework/php/class-framework-widgets.php
    wp_tag_cloud(‘smallest=10&largest=24&unit=px’);

    und:

    Tag-Cloudanpassung (Design)
    Custom css und layout.css
    .sidebar .tagcloud a {
    background-color: transparent;
    }
    Go into the css>layout.css file and on line 1742 delete the font size declaration so that its just:
    .tagcloud a{ padding:2px 8px; margin:0 1px 1px 0; display:block; float:left; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; text-decoration: none; }

    Maybe you can have another look, now?

    Thx,

    Boris

    btw: cashing plugin is still active – will changing of code have an effect right away? Maybe you have to delete the cashe and activate preload again?

    Hi Devin,

    still all the same.

    What can I do now?
    Would it help to have a look at the database, where the date is stored? Where would that be?

    I really would love to solve this problem soon ;-(

    Regards,

    Boris

    Hi Peter,

    well, I am not aware of using any filter, and I did not modify any code in this file. I am using the theme “as is” in this case. I only integrated the widget in the theme backend. Thats all. (How do I identify, if the filter is active?)

    I just deactivated the WP super cache plugin and tested the widget by posting a new comment. Nothing changed. The Problem came with activation of this plugin, so I don’t think it is any other plugin.

    Any other ideas? (I could give you backend access, if that helps)

    Regards,

    Boris

    • This reply was modified 1 year ago by  Boris. Reason: additional question

    Hi Peter,

    okay, I made the change and it worked.

    The thing, that’s still not working correctly is the timestamp of recent comments in the widget.
    The most recent comment is dated in 2012. When you click on it and have a look at the actual comment, you can see, that the correct date is this week.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,

    Boris

    Hi Peter,

    thank you for the answer. The code is provided by clerverreach for integration of their services. I will ask, if they have an updated version. But what, if not? What can I do then?

    And: Is this relevant for those two pages, only, or does it also effect the confusion of dates e.g. on the homepage? The script from above is only on these two pages…

    Thanks.

    Boris

    Hi, (small update)

    i did some further research, but found no solution or reason for that behavior. A new comment, that came in in the meantime it’s just fine now, but previous comments are still wrong dated.)

    What’s new though is, that here: http://www.hebammenblog.de/newsletter-abonnieren/ the widget is strangely arranged:
    “Most popular” is displayed on top of the widget, but all others like “recent” and so on are displayed below it.

    What kind of widget is it? Is it written in javascript? The caching plugin author says it must be dynamic to work properly. I think it is, but just to make sure, I thought I’d ask ;-)

    Any ideas, what’s going on here?

    Regards,

    Boris

    in reply to: How to setup shop pictures correctly? #187906

    That helped! And I found out, that constructing rectangle picrures is quite easy (GIMP) and after resizing them on 700×700 woocommerce creates all kinds of derivates from that source, that are quite small. (As far as I could see the source is never being used in any display, so you could even upload a 2 mb file without getting any performance problems…)
    Woocommerce is doing better than wordpress, in that case ;-)

    So, problem solved.

    thx

    in reply to: How to setup shop pictures correctly? #185548

    Hi Ismael,

    thanks!
    Question: Isn’t that just the same, as if I untick the first woocommerce option “Beschneiden”? Have a look at my second screenshot above. Why edit it in the code?

    Well, I just tried both ways, before I posted this, and nothing changed either way.

    One comment to the imagesizes: Of course I can try to use images with almost same hight and width, and this would probably solve the problem. But this is the problem, since the pictures are provided by the product producers. I thought the code and the options would solve that for me ;-) Don’t they?

    Regards

    Boris
