Okay so deactivated that plug-in that you were talking about Dude and Mya. does that plug-in do anything beneficial for my site? What would be another good plug-in to use instead if I have to?
Here is a screenshot of all the plug-ins I currently have installed:
Am I missing anything that could help me?
Mya, I am running W3 Total Cache WITH MaxCDN so it should be quick!
Thanks for the FYI rumblefish, much appreciated!
Dude, can you explain what “he element html5 media plugin adds 2-3 seconds to the loading time too.” is? Shouldn’t that load quick?
I’ll call Dreamhost and see what’s what.
Okay, I’ll try keeping it at that and see if any other problems from 720p HD videos keep me from changing it.
It doesn’t work on the homepage and it just eliminates those two grey boxes on other pages.
Here’s what I want: http://i.imgur.com/hk2KO.jpg
Or, would it be easier just to add my own border around the ads?
Also, how do I get two of those ads to show up side by side?
I put in exactly what you told me to but then when I go back in it just shows this:
Would you like to login to my site?
Here’s my site http://www.greaseandgears.com
And here’s what I am entering, I took a screenshot:
I meant this question http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/sidebar-125×125-advertising-area
I think I will make my .com redirect to a “Featured News” category and that will solve everything along with your suggestion!
Ahh okay, let me try that. I’ll report back.
In the meantime any idea about my other issue?
okay, so I added the text widget and this is how it placed the ad , but I wanted it to appear within those two “advertise here” boxes as I like the border they have.
Here’s the code I need to insert FYI:
google_ad_client = “ca-pub-********”;
/* Sidebar */
google_ad_slot = “57999999999″;
google_ad_width = 125;
google_ad_height = 125;
This is what I’m currently looking at, should I put it here or where?
I solved everything, thanks gentleman & women! I do have one more subject though that I’m searching for now :)
Are you editing the CSS directly or using the “Quick CSS” under “Shoutbox”->”Theme Options”?
You should be using “Quick CSS” rather than editing directly.
What am I doing wrong then here http://www.greaseandgears.com I want the new post(s) to show up when you click on “GP2 & GP3″ under “Motorsport” on the menu bar.
Sorry for all the questions!
Hi Devin/Dude et al,
Okay I think I’ve got that understood but here’s my next related problem. I created a new post “Gierdo Van de Gaarde” and I want it to automatically show up under the “GP2 & GP3″ category. So when you click on “GP2 & GP3″ it will show along with future posts.
I took screenshots so hopefully that’ll help:
Thanks for your time!
Okay let me try that, of course it makes sense now! But, how do I add new categories/menu items if that makes sense?
How do I add new Pages/Categories/Columns? I don’t see where there is an option to add a new one.
I think that makes sense. I’ll try now. Also, here is the screenshot I forgot to attach:
Sorry for the late reply but yes, that issue is fixed! I now have another one I’m about to post though!
So I updated the code which almost worked perfectly EXCEPT for changing the Body text. It changed the right hand side “Recent Posts” to Century Gothic but none of the other categories updated to Century Gothic.
Does that make sense?
