I found the solution. Looks like the plugin “WP Social Popup and Get Traffic” was conflicting after a recent update.
This might work, but I’m still wondering why the code above does not work. The goal is to get one category to show one sidebar by default.
I think it is working because I have manually set all the post to have that sidebar. What I was looking for is when I create a new post that it sets correct sidebar by default. I have inserted the code, but when I create a new post in that category it uses simply the “Default Sidebars” which does not show the correct one. Does that make sense?
No, I’m trying to make it so that a certain author or category can have a default sidebar.
Regarding that code. I was trying to use that CSS to stop the featured image from showing up on the blog post. But it looks like it prevents also on the main page when I use the ““blog posts” element in the layout tool. Is it possible to have it only show up on the main page but still prevent it from showing at the top of each blog post?
Is such a solution also possible with the enfold theme? I am thinking of switching and would still like this. However I am not sure what you ended up changing in the end. Best regards,
That is correct. But if you try to click any of the links in the big newsbox (center column), they do not work on this page: http://www.hmmrmedia.com/bingisser/
On other pages they work.
Thanks for the reply. When I do this, I have the following error when I load my site. Can I just copy the text or does anything need to be customized?
If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.
Common reasons for this error are:
Incorrect file/directory permissions: Above 755.
In order files to be processed by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or below 755. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel’s File Manager.
Incorrect Apache directives inside .htaccess file.
Make sure you have not specified unsupported directives inside the local .htaccess file. Such include PHP settings and Apache module settings.
This seems to be related. My twitter posts have not been updated using the twitter widget for the last month. I use shortcode to put it at the bottom of this page: http://bit.ly/fNDOQv
