hi. i wish i could say that worked, but it made my whole blog turn into a blank page. when i took out the first and last lines of that code, it worked like before, so i guess there’s something amiss with the <?php if is_single(){ ?> perhaps?

thanks for helping me with this!

Hi again. I did what you said and put the code in the loop-index. It shows on the individual blog posts, but it ALSO shows on the main blog page, which is cluttered and unnecessary. How do I get ‘next’ and ‘prev’ to show only on the individual blog posts?

    thanks!

    Hi,

Could you please respond to my questions so I can continue with the website layout work? I know it’s tedious, but really the intent of the question is small, just to get large, full-length images on my blog. Thank you so much.

Yes! So much better! It looks so much nicer for what I’m trying to do. Thank you.

    1. So now that the image is nice and large when I click on the heading ‘blog’, how can I have this image be as large in the blog post’s single view AND in the blog preview that’s on the main page? (right now it’s still a two-column blog on the main page with a slice of the image.)

    2. The images in the blog are wonderfully large, but they’re still not showing the whole composition of the photo — they’re still a little too squat. How do I make them a little closer to the 800×530 image size I’m importing?

    Thank you!

    hi,

i wish i could say that tweak did it, but the images are still small slices instead of whole compositions. i’m wondering if it has something to do with the code above saying display_small a bunch of times. maybe one of those is supposed to be display_large?

    thanks! sorry this is tedious!

    hi.

i don’t think i’m being clear enough in my hopes for how i can fix the blog format. i’m not terribly web-savvy so bear with me.

i want the main blog page (and its individual post, too) to show images that are 800×530 instead of a smaller slice of the image. then when the image is clicked on, it can still lightbox to the full-sized image, but i want the viewer to not have to click on the image to see the full composition — i want the viewer to simply be able to scroll down the blog and see the complete large-sized image and slideshows.

what code would i alter to change that?

    thanks!

    thanks!

i see that this fixes turned the blog into full-width. i would still like the pictures/slideshow to be fully viewable on the main blog page (as large they are viewed on the individual post page) instead of just a slice of the picture. how would i do this?

    thanks again,
