    Apologies.
    I found the settings yesterday and was able to adjust the front page to what I liked.
    I must say the backend is very configurable. I was looking for a new theme to refresh my website, it turns out I could just refresh Enfold with a few clicks. Still very happy with the template.

    Hi,
    The date and author work (kind of) on the home page, but when you go into the article, it goes back to the bottom of it.
    You can see a big gap between the title and the date.

    Hi,
    I am interested in the same.
    I applied the code provided, but it just doesnt work properly. There is alarge gap between the title and the date, about 50px, and it shows on the home page created to look like the the “lifestyle demo”, but it doesnt show in the actual full post.

    If there is no better way to do that, can you tell me how to do the following:
    In the Business style:
    increase the size of title and then center align.
    center align the date/author/categories, basically to be under title,
    then change the READ MORE to be a button, not just a link, and 20px away from the bottom of the post

    Please give us an option to choose NO featured image for a single post.
    They can be removed with css, but a proper theme option is so much more elegant.

    NO dude…

    the code you gave me did NOTHING…

    please read my subsequent messages.where i isolated the problem for you…

    I fixed it by modifying you layout.css file… but i would like a proper and permanent solution.

    in reply to: fullwidth page has wrong formatting #136006

    This is the line that screws it up:

    #top .fullsize .template-blog a ,#top .fullsize .template-blog .small-preview img{float:none; display: inline-block; width:100%;}

    to fix it I added this to the customCSS:

    #top .fullsize .template-blog a {float:none; display: inline; width:100%;}

    It works now, but its really annoying.

    Can you guys PLEASE fix the theme!!!

    You can keep the default at 600px… as long as you give the rest of us an OPTION to use the entire width of the page for our content.

    in reply to: fullwidth page has wrong formatting #136004

    that didnt help at all.

    Have a look at the site… it looks rather shocking.

    in reply to: fullwidth page has wrong formatting #136002

    It looks like this may have been caused by the latest update to your theme.

    I just had a look at th ecached version of that page and it looked fine a few days ago.

    in reply to: Post with no sidbar only 600px wide #125575

    Agreed.

    For text I would never use area that wide, but I’m a photographer, and i must showcase my images as well as i can.

    I can not show my images at 600px wide. That would not impress anyone of my customers.

    I know your theme is not really aimed at photographers, but it is a great theme and perhaps you could have an option to use full width for content if required without having to resort to CSS changes.

    Until then, I’m still happy i CAN make those changes and still use your theme… :)

    Unfortunately, this didn’t work either.

    I guess its not a huge issue. I just need to remember to adjust the sizes with every theme upgrade.

    Thanks for trying.. :)

    in reply to: Responsive layout with grid blog problem #126126

    I think I know whta the proble might be.

    Problem only exists in Firefox. Chrome is OK

    I was given a piece of code a while back to fix the problem with full width blog.

    The core files restrict the width to only 600px, so i was given this:

    #top .fullsize .template-blog .post .entry-content, #top .fullsize .template-blog .post .entry-content>* {max-width: 100%;}

    Now, that archive full screen is buggered, showing thumbnails size 495×400 for when 3 in a row.

    But if i use a sidebar, it works well. and it is only bad in firefox, chrome is fine.

    in reply to: Responsive layout with grid blog problem #126125

    The difference is that your example page has thumbnails that scale nicely.

    It’s not ideal, but at least it looks ok-ish..

    my thumbnails dont scale well at all, they basically get cut into thinner stips. so on mobile my portraits thumbs, instead of showing the whole face, show half an eye and a bit of ear… horrible.

    I regenerated all thumbnails again, but there is no scaling still.

    Very frustrating… especially since otherwise your theme actually loks really good.

    in reply to: overwrite imgzise global settings in child theme #126352

    I will try that.. but i don’t think its that…

    When i use layout builder and choose blog there is options there for the size of the image;

    “Select custom preview image size; Choose image size for Preview Image”

    you see when i make that change in the core functions.php i see the option for 1030×450 immediately, but when i enter it in the child functions, that option is not there.

    basically, it doesn’t use the child settings, only the core …

    Hi.

    best way to see it is here:

    http://www.candidtown.com/category/galleries/

    I’m using a samsung s3, but you dont need a mobile device to see it.

    Just make the browser window really narrow and you’ll see.

    it alternates with 1, or 2 posts per row. 1 post looks good, 2 posts look really bad.

    Scrap the previous post.

    The images came out the right size when i rebuild thumbnails.

    in reply to: Post with no sidbar only 600px wide #125572

    while you’re at it, ask him why is it that when i create a blog entry on a full width page and set the preview images manually to be 1030×360 i still get only 461px width?

    in reply to: Post with no sidbar only 600px wide #125570

    Are you sure?

    That doesnt make any sense! The screen width is 1030px, why would you restrict the content of a FULL size post to 600px?

    Even post with 1 sidebar gets more width. 710px.

    I’ll apply it, but that really seems dodgy. We shouldnt have to play with CSS code for this, which should be a default setting.

    thx
