    nevermind – figured it out

    in reply to: Font Styling Inconsistencies in IE / Firefox #92079

    Thank you – that makes sense. That leads to one more question – if someone knows the answer. I would really like these forms to open in a light box, and stay in a lightbox for the thank you page. Is there a way to do that?

    in reply to: Font Styling Inconsistencies in IE / Firefox #92077

    Thank you for the confirmation. I appreciate it.

    What exactly does the code you recommended change? I added it to my site CSS, but did not see any effects. Can you screenshot the area for me?

    Thanks!

    OK – Thanks Devin

    The URL for the page is http://landlordsource.com/home

    thanks for looking!

    in reply to: 404 Error Page #92473

    Thanks – that helped some. I wanted to customize the left hand navigation menu – right now it displays all of the page links, the post categories and archives. How do I manage this area? I did not see a way to add a widget and when I add something to the default page widget it also shows up on all of the other pages.

    How do I assign a menu to the error page.

    Thanks for pointing me to the right file to edit. I must have missed that when I was searching. I only saw the template file.

    Can you review my Quick CSS code to see if I have something out of order or if there is a better way to add it? I did some testing with Adobe Browser Labs and the problem did not show up there. However, if I’m seeing it, then it is likely someone else will too.

    I prefer to have Helvetica be the first option, then Arial as an alternative. I think that’s what I’ve set up here. But I know with CSS there can be some rules to the order things need to be listed. Maybe I have something out of order (?) because the font is showing up bold and all caps too…

    Here is the current code – is there a better way to write it?

    Thanks!

    in reply to: Shrink Blog Title Size #92387

    nope – did not work for me. I found what I did changed other areas too that I don’t want to change. (like the summary titles on portfolios). Is there a way to change only the size of the blog titles?

    in reply to: Shrink Blog Title Size #92386

    OK – So I was able to reduce the font size, but I’d also like to make the line height tighter. It is a little too spaced out. I tried adding line-height to the CSS but it did not seem to change anything.

    Thanks!

    in reply to: Category Links in Single Portfolio View #91916

    That did not achieve what I’m looking for. I want to remove the “in” category links (Or better yet just hard code a “back” link / button) in the area I’ve outlined in Red on this screenshot.

    http://lsnewsletters.com/screenshots/Propulsion4.jpg

    I just ended up removing this part of the code from loop-portfolio-single.php – let me know if anyone thinks of a good way to integrate a category link that goes to the page I set up instead of the archived page. I may test Ismael’s suggestion too.

    <?php

    $portfolio_cats = get_the_term_list( get_the_ID(), ‘portfolio_entries’, ”, ‘, ‘,”);

    if($portfolio_cats && !is_object($portfolio_cats))

    {

    echo ‘<span class=”portfolio-categories minor-meta”>’.__(‘in ‘,’avia_framework’);

    echo $portfolio_cats;

    echo ‘ </span><span class=”text-sep”>/</span> ‘;

    }

    /*

    echo ‘<span class=”blog-author minor-meta”>’.__(‘by ‘,’avia_framework’);

    the_author_posts_link();

    echo ‘</span>’;

    */

    ?>

    in reply to: Category Links in Single Portfolio View #91914

    Ismael – I’m a little hesitant to try this cause I’m not really a coder ;-) I just follow instructions well. Can you just tell me how to remove those category links completely?

    Thanks!

    in reply to: Removing default horizontal rule from bottom of portfolio page #91782

    Perfect – Thank you.

    in reply to: Portfolio Navigation Links #91719

    I actually started a new thread for this question:

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/category-links-in-single-portfolio-view

    Since it is a separate, but related issue to the original.

    in reply to: Portfolio Navigation Links #91718

    No, I don’t think that’s what I need. I do not want to change the next / previous links. I want to change the category links below the meta data in the left column. For example, the post I referenced has links to “manuals” and “spotlights & specials” because I’ve categorized them as these types of portfolio entries.

    http://landlordsource.com/product/policy-procedures-property-management/

    However, I don’t like the formatting of these archive pages at all. Instead I’d like it to just go back to the previous page, whatever that page was.

    Is that your understanding of what i asked?

    in reply to: Font Styling Inconsistencies in IE / Firefox #92071

    The fonts are either in the theme’s original CSS or in the Custom CSS area in the propulsion theme’s styling tools in the wp-admin. I am not using a plugin – just the theme tools you provide.

    in reply to: Portfolio Navigation Links #91716

    This worked – Thanks for the correction. Any ideas about removing or changing the links that show up on the left under the meta data? Right now it defaults to category links that go to archive pages. I don’t want those. I’m hoping I can add a static link to all pages that goes back to whatever page they visited just before landing on this one. Is this possible?

    in reply to: Portfolio Navigation Links #91714

    Almost Ismael – The navigation did move, but I received an error. See screenshot posted here:

    http://lsnewsletters.com/screenshots/Propulsion1.jpg

    Also – any ideas on changing the left hand links to “back” links and removing the category links?

    Below I’ve pasted the section of Code I modified:

    <?php echo “<div class=’nine units’>”; ?>

    <div class=’post_nav’>

    <div class=’previous_post_link_align’>

    <?php previous_post_link(‘<span class=”previous_post_link”>← %link </span><span class=”post_link_text”>’.__(‘(previous item)’,'avia_framework’)).”</span>”; ?>

    </div>

    <div class=’next_post_link_align’>

    <?php next_post_link(‘<span class=”next_post_link”><span class=”post_link_text”>’.__(‘(next item)’,'avia_framework’).’</span> %link →</span>’); ?>

    </div>

    </div> <!– end navigation –>

    if(avia_post_meta(‘hero’))

    {

    echo “<div class=’hero-text entry-content’>”;

    the_excerpt();

    echo “<span class=’seperator extralight-border’></span>”;

    echo “</div>”;

    }

    //display the actual post content

    the_content(__(‘Read more →’,'avia_framework’));

    echo avia_flag(false);

    ?>

    </div> <!– end nine units –>

    </div>

    </div><!–end post-entry–>

    in reply to: Portfolio Navigation Links #91712

    I’d also like to replace the portfolio category links on the left with a “back” link that returns them to the category. I do not like the default links because they go to a portfolio archive and I don’t know how to control that archive:

    http://landlordsource.com/portfolio_entries/property-management-manuals/

    I would rather they go back to the category page that I set up:

    http://landlordsource.com/policy-and-procedures-manuals/

    A simple “Back to Category” button should do it, if you can point me in the right direction.

    in reply to: portfolio images #88389

    Thanks – I did get this figured out. :-)

    in reply to: portfolio images #88387

    Sorry – You may not have really seen what I was after. I see that I did not remove the “frame” before copy / pasting the example link. Here is the right one.

    http://www.kriesi.at/themes/propulsion/template-files/portfolio-sidebar/

    in reply to: portfolio images #88386

    I don’t think this will work the way I need it to. Is there no way to designate the “Featured Image” as the one that shows up?

    I looked at the template builder and, if I understand correctly, I’d have to add a column element for the photos, then another line for the portfolio, then another line for photos. Isn’t there a simpler alternative that does not require me to add the photos separately?

    Maybe I’m missing something.

    in reply to: Portfolio Title font #88379

    thank you.

    in reply to: Hide Title Container on Home Page Only #87740

    how do you find the page ID (for future reference)

    in reply to: Hide Title Container on Home Page Only #87739

    Super – this one worked:

    .page-id-100 .title_container.extralight-border {

    display: none !important;

    }

    THANK YOU!

    in reply to: Change the "Close" link in the header socket #87719

    P. S. Will this change interfere with any other functionality?

    in reply to: Change the "Close" link in the header socket #87718

    Thank you – that worked

    in reply to: Hide Title Container on Home Page Only #87737

    Still no luck – any other suggestions?

    in reply to: Slider with video lightbox #72317

    Thanks, I’ll check it out. I actually figured out how to do the lightbox within the slider. Will see if this covers how to open a video in a light box from a regular button, image, or text link.

    Hi Mya

    I tried this out, but it did not work for me. I left it in there for now – Maybe I am not inserting the code in the right spot in the Quick CSS?
