Could you tell me the name of the the repeating jquery file, and what folder it would be in?May 9, 2013 at 6:36 pm in reply to: CLICKING ON SLIDESHOW SHOWS DUPLICATE IMAGES (fixed yet?) #117423
I deactivated prettyPhoto Media but I’m still getting duplicates. There is also PrettyPhoto, which is also deactivated. Should I delete either or both of these plugins? Or is there something else I should do to get rid of the duplicates?May 8, 2013 at 11:57 am in reply to: CLICKING ON SLIDESHOW SHOWS DUPLICATE IMAGES (fixed yet?) #117421
If you click on an image with a caption to bring up the lightbox, each image with a caption in that category appears twice.May 6, 2013 at 1:15 pm in reply to: CLICKING ON SLIDESHOW SHOWS DUPLICATE IMAGES (fixed yet?) #117419
I downloaded the theme files again, and replaced the files that were updated. It looks like the portfolio items with captions are duplicated in the Lightbox.May 5, 2013 at 6:10 pm in reply to: CLICKING ON SLIDESHOW SHOWS DUPLICATE IMAGES (fixed yet?) #117418
For each portfolio category, when I click on the image to bring up the lightbox, there are 2X as many images as there should be because there are duplicates. Any way to fix this? If not, I’ll just disable it with the code above, but I do like having the lightbox feature.May 5, 2013 at 2:15 pm in reply to: CLICKING ON SLIDESHOW SHOWS DUPLICATE IMAGES (fixed yet?) #117416
Thank you for your response. I don’t see where to download 1.6.5 in my themeforest account. Can you tell me where I go for that? Does the latest version fix the lightbox double image issue?
I’m going to go back to one of my original questions, because it didn’t totally get resolved.
Right now on my homepage I have a big rotating slideshow, with the portfolio item thumbnails below it. What I want to have happen is when I click on a portfolio item, that image pops up, and the big slideshow goes away. However, I also want to be able to view the -+x symbol. To get the big slideshow to go away after I click a portfolio item, it is my impression that I have to set the portfolio option in the template builder to Show On Single Page. However, if I select this option, I do not see the -+x. Instead, it says “Next Entry” and “Previous Entry” at the bottom of the image. Is there a way to have the main slideshow images go away when you click a portfolio item thumbnail, and the -+x navigation still appears?
I am working locally. Almost ready to go live with the site. What would the code be with the margin-top?
Thank you for your response. What you suggested definitely helped.
I also had a question about this line not lining up with the boxes that hold the -+x:
I either want to get rid of that line on pages where there is the -+x, or align it with the top of those boxes.
I tried that, but with the negative values the close button starts to disappear into the yellow, so with 15px I only see clos (missing the e).
Thanks for your response. I added that code to the custom.css, and it looks like it moved over a little, but there’s still a lot of space between the logo on the left and the close button. Any way to get the space equal to what it was before, with all the buttons there?
Thank you for your response. I added that code to custom.css and it does remove the rss button. Here is what I’m talking about with spacing, with the RSS button:
Is there a way to move the close button to the right so the spacing is the same as in the first example?
I’m trying to get rid of the RSS button as well. Hiding it with the custom.css did not work on my site. Deleting that line in header.php did do it, but I’d like to move the CLOSE button closer to the other buttons.
I am building my site locally using MAMP. I quit out of the application, and when I restarted the changes had taken effect. Thank you for the code.
Thank you for your reply. I added that code to custom.css, but it did not seem to do anything with the placement of the slide controls on the main slider images.
That option is already checked. I’m talking about the big horizontal images in the main slider. When I click one of the links for a portfolio section on the homepage, I want the main slider to go away, like what happens in the example I gave above.
Thank you for your response. In this example,
I see that after you click a link (such as Happy holidays!), the main slider images go away. How can I get that to happen?
OK, thank you. I would still like to get rid of that big black bar that comes with the captions, and instead run the caption in black underneath the image, so I will continue to work on that myself.
Yes, I know about that. On the example site:
In bold are Skills Needed, Copyright, and Project URL. I see how to add those bold categories. My question is how to add the text below it, with no bold subheading. That text on the sample site is: “The attributes listed above (Skills, Copyright, URL) can be modified at will….”
Here is what I’m talking about specifically:
OK, I can look into that. I have a related question. I see where I can add Portfolio Meta Information categories (on the sample site it is “Skills Needed: Copyright: Project URL:”)
Where can I add the additional information about each item? (On the sample site this text is “The attributes listed above (Skills, Copyright, URL) can be modified at will. You can add additional ones, remove existing or add another dozen if you want to. All of that can be done directly from your WordPress backend, no need to edit any code whatsoever.”)
Yes, that’s great, thanks. Is there a way to move down the horizontal yellow line so that it lines up with the text?
That is unfortunate. If I do decide to have the extra white space on the thumbnails, and use that bit of code that you provided, the actual images within the slideshow do not go down like they should. What happens is that they jump down for a second, then they jump right back up. So then the little circles are still covering the images, and I also have extra white space on the thumbnails.
What I’d like to do is remove those circles from the image container, so then they can be separate from and above the images. (I don’t mind the little arrows in the top right.) How can I do this?
Thanks for your response. I’m working locally, so is there a way for me to send a link so you can see my site? I’d like to move the yellow/white circles up above the slideshow images, and move the images down a bit so it’s not so tight between the categories (All / category 1 / category 2 / category 3) and the top of the image. I tried applying the code above into the custom.css file, but that actually moved the thumbnails down, so it gave a white space above those images, which I did not want.
