Well, that made the header tiny always. I want the header to continue being large when one is at the top of the screen, but the logo popped out then as well.

That is, when the header is full size, the logo is twice as big and pops out of the header 50%. Thus, when the header minimizes, the logo also gets smaller to stay proportionately popped out (50%).

I want the header and logo to be equally responsive to scrolling and device usage. I could easy affect the max-height of the logo, but it would never minimize for smaller devices.

I simply want the logo to remain “popped out” of the header – just in bigger and smaller versions of itself proportionate to the header resizing on the desktop version.

    Perfect – thanks!

in reply to: Force logo to break out #308104

Yes, but bigger and smaller respectively with the header.

Ok – so I kind of changed my mind (it’s what happens when there’s too many chefs in the kitchen). Let’s keep the mini-breakout and also have it broken out in the same proportions when the header is large (at the top). Does that make sense?

    THANKS SO MUCH!

I’ve figured it out (FINALLY). Sorry about all this! Thank you so much!

Thanks Yigit – will refer there.

Hi! So this does exactly the opposite of what I want. ;) I’d like to have the logo pop out in full size, and when scrolling have it pop back into the header. Right now it’s inside the header in full size (at top), and pops out during scroll. How can I reverse w/o losing responsiveness? (http://fusewm.com)

    THANKS!

in reply to: Parallax Scrolling??? #307917

I removed them because I couldn’t get them working with the Color Section.

How do I overlay elements in the Color Section (like fly in words, etc)?

in reply to: Parallax Scrolling??? #307481

Ok, so I got the parallax working using the Color Section. Doesn’t this render any other slider useless? I had words going across my main image using the fullwidth easy slider. I put words without an image in the regular Easy Slider over top the color section that renders my main image, but they don’t show. The fullwidth easy slider won’t go into a color section. I feel like I’m either still missing something incredibly simple or the theme was made too complicated.

in reply to: Parallax Scrolling??? #307134

I’m using the Fullscreen Easy slider at the top, and the Layer slider in the middle (above the team element).

I’ve read several places to use the Color Section, but can’t seem to find it. Is it in slider settings, or in element settings? I’d love to have various sections with a different background color, too (like the team section with a different color OR with a parallax image behind). Have I totally missed a portion of the tutorial?

in reply to: Social Icons in Main Header Not Showing #306544

    Thanks Yigit! That worked.

Is there any way to make the social media icons and the logo bigger? I messed with the logo, but the max-height blocks my height edits. If I correct the max-height, the logo doesn’t shrink with scrolling.

    Thank you!

in reply to: Colored Social Icons in Header #306469

If you’re using the social media icons in the very top of the header, this code will work:

    #top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li, #top .av_header_glassy.av_header_transparency .social_bookmarks li a {
    color: # ;
    }

in reply to: Grayscale Overlay not Affecting Thumbnails #234834

The CSS worked – not sure why my old CSS was not working. Will close this out for now.

in reply to: Grayscale Overlay not Affecting Thumbnails #233353

I tried all of that. First, I disabled W3 Total Cache and reloaded the page. Then I disabled all my plugins and uploaded a .jpg version of the image. Still came out the same. I left the .jpg version up even though the thumbnail position is wrong to demonstrate the point.

Took a couple times and a hard reload, but got it. Thank you for your help!!! This thread can be marked as resolved.

Thanks – that code worked for the sorting.

The ‘rogue’ image is at the bottom of my portfolio (listed above). I regenerated the thumbnails, but as it is a CSS issue, this did not have an affect.

Thank you for taking the time to sort this out.

in reply to: Choices Portfolio Image Overlay #202314

Nevermind – the update included the CSS for the hover. Still have a rogue thumbnail that is in color instead of b&w.

With the update, my portfolio is no longer sortable. Looks like all the correct settings are in place. What happened?

in reply to: Choices Portfolio Image Overlay #202313

Thanks – I tried adding it to my child theme CSS file to no avail.

Also, what to do about the rogue thumbnail that insists on being in color before hover?

in reply to: Site title and tagline not displaying in browser #191186

Tried that. Did nothing. I changed it back because the Kriesi settings in the Choices Options don’t work for the blog (it doesn’t display the blog on the page I choose, and when I create a template for said page including the blog, the blog sidebar doesn’t show).

in reply to: Site title and tagline not displaying in browser #190676

That’s what I did. Still not showing. Grr.

in reply to: Site title and tagline not displaying in browser #190659

I currently use All In One SEO. I enabled changing page titles / descriptions, and it works for inner pages alright. The home page doesn’t seem to generate, however.

On the previous build of Choices, I was able to correct this issue on the whole by simply editing the header.php using the recommended code in Codex. I understand something must have changed with the update. If there are no further suggestions, I’ll deal with AIO SEO’s settings.

I actually haven’t done much to the file other than copy and paste…

in reply to: WooCommerce Pagination #179116

    Alright, thanks.

in reply to: WooCommerce Pagination #178542

    Hey!

Alright, so that all worked when in the JetPack Edit CSS space. When I entered these into the custom style.css, however, it does nothing. Am I stuck between a rock and a hard place?

    Thanks.

in reply to: WooCommerce Pagination #178453

    Thanks Josue.

As you will see when looking at the site, that corrected the formatting issue. However, I don’t want pagination on the home page, and the woocommerce pagination is redundant on the shop page. I would very much like to make them disappear entirely.

Thank you for your continued help.

in reply to: Choices Portfolio Thumbnail Display #127776

Ah – alright. This gives me a few things to play around with. Thanks for your advice. I’ll mark this as resolved.

in reply to: Choices Portfolio Thumbnail Display #127773

Hey – thanks for the quick response. The CSS worked great for the hover effect – thanks for that.

The thumbnail regeneration worked as well, but now the thumbnails are ridiculously blurry and not cropped at all. Is there no way to have the cropped affect without the snapshot coming from the center (aside from manually doing so)?

Thanks again for your help. We’re getting there!

in reply to: Nimble Portfolio Plugin Hijacks Choices #125340

That worked, but Choices overrides the portfolio and I don’t see anything on the page. I’m going to try Awesome Portfolio and see if that helps. Bummer – ’cause Nimble looked sweet.
