    Hi Devin

thanks for the info. I had a look at the video, and it explains the basics, as well as a couple of limitations. What none of the tutorials seem to say is how to import all the images into a gallery if they are already in the Media Library (as was the case for me), all the tutorials show multiple import from the desktop (which is simple).

The tutorial also shows the limitation, that once created it is difficult if not impossible, to add a couple of extra images. So back to square one – how to do a multiple import of images already in your Media Library?

Thanks for all your help. If you have any more ‘light ‘ you can shed on this would be great, otherwise lets close the post as ‘resolved’

    thanks

    Hi Devin

thanks for your reply. Yes I added them one by one. I could not figure out how to use the WordPress default gallery. I tried the NextGen gallery but the client did not like the general feel of it. So I tried to revert back to the WP gallery, which I guessed was built in to WordPress.

I thought it odd that I had to add these multiple images one by one by one…

    Any help greatly appreciated

    thanks

    Hi Dude

my little site is now live, I have got the gallery up and running – but still cannot work out how to get it like the demo page on the demo site.. with the small padding / margin between each thumbnail and each line of gallery images. Any chance you can have a look at the problem for me? The page is http://www.markberrymandesign.com/gallery/

    Any help much appreciated.

    thanks

    Hi Dude, Ismael

fixed the problem by using % rather than fixed pixel widths. I have posted this in case any other beginners have the same issue.

    thanks again.

    Hi Dude, Ismael

sorry to re-open this post but I have encountered a problem I did not see. Angular is a responsive site, works brilliantly on any device, but the map is not accounting for this. I added the map to the page and it works fine, however it does not resize when used on the ipad, iphone, and other tablets. For instance the right hand sidebar ends up over the top of the map when the client views the page on his ipad (portrait).

Is there some code I can use to make the map resize? Maybe by adding some custom CSS?

    many thanks

    Hi Dude

nextgen is great because its very quick to apply. But I think I prefer the default wp gallery shortcode, the look of the image enlargement / slideshow is more familiar .

What I am try to replicate is what is on this page

    http://www.kriesi.at/themes/angular/template-files/gallery/#!prettyPhoto

Can you help me? I need the shortcode for the small border between rows and columns in the Angular theme demo gallery page.

Thanks again for any help please.

    thanks

Hi , okay so I kind of got it working by adding a shortcode several times over and over again!

    [gallery columns="7" size="thumbnails" order="desc" order by="ID"]

There must be a quicker way to do this, I have several images to add, and adding them one by one seems very slow.

Also my gallery, has no border between the thumbnail (columns) and has a large border between the rows.

    Can anyone help please.

    thanks

Hi Dude, got it thanks, and it seems to work perfectly well. I have used it as you said, as a shortcode in the main contact page content.

(I will send you a link once it goes live if your interested, I am working in maintenance mode till we get it ready.)

    Thanks for all your help.
