Thank you Ismael. Altering the functions.php file worked like a charm. I had recently updated from an older version of Eunoia to v1.6 and had not checked that setting. Strangely, I had it set at 1140×641 on my old version. Do you think that may have been a typo?
Anyways, thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
BTW, the link to the site is http://nemogould.com
I am using wordpress 3.7.1 and eunoia 1.6. this has never been an issue before and something I’ve done fairly regularly. Thanks
Thank you. It appears to be working now. You might consider adding an option to show the entire slideshow for the overview pages as well as single pages.
Have a great day…Jay
I’ve worked out the video preview images and placement. Though I’m still having a little trouble linking the thumbnail so that it opens the video in lightbox. I accomplished this earlier, but have since forgotten the steps. Can you please tell me how this is done? I’m assuming it is achieved within the thumbnails image settings. Thanks for your patience with me.
Thanks for the reply. Follow up question then: Is there an ideal image size if I were to place one with a link where I currently have the video embedded? Since the theme is responsive, I’m a little unclear how to be certain that a jpeg won’t mess with the formatting of the text.
I just pushed the site live. check it out at :: http://theabecker.com :: and look at just about any portfolio item.

ok. nevermind. the text opacity appears to be working as we would like now. strange. but we would still like the background to be transparent on the portfolio popup if possible.
the portfolio code for the right hand side of the popup still is not working. any thoughts?
http://fawntwin.com click on CHRISTMAS EVE CAN KILL YOU (2012) in the portfolio boxes below.
This is great. thank you. almost there. unfortunately, it takes a lot of the text along with it. please check out http://fawntwin.com to see what I mean. There is text under the main slider. Also, please click on the portfolio item entitled CHRISTMAS EVE CAN KILL YOU (2012). Ther eis text in the right sidebar that is transparent. If I remove main_color from the above list it works fine, but the background is white.
please help. and thank you…jay
Awesome. Worked perfectly. I’ve really been appreciating the support for this theme.
Great! Thats exactly what I was trying to achieve (and glad you like my work by the way!).
One detail is still a little weird. In the case of this page:
The lower case “g” in the title gets the bottom cut off, and this is with the padding adjusted up to 80px. I prefer the look with the padding at 20 as you suggested. Any thoughts?January 1, 2013 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Possible to set custom proportions for front page slider? #101617January 1, 2013 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Possible to set custom proportions for front page slider? #101615
Thanks for the response! I don’t have an exact proportion in mind, I just wanted to try some options.
I inserted the code, but I’m not seeing the width adjust accordingly, only the height. I tried with both the “full width” and “adjust to page” settings. Am I missing something?December 13, 2012 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Template Builder not working for "Post/Page Content" type #75154
That doesn’t sound like a great solution for me as I have customized so much of the site. Is there truly no other way?
Will hitting reset lose all my templates as well and rewrite over css files?

Hi Devin :::…
I followed the instructions on the link you sent, but I’m still seeing the issue on the frontpage portfolio pagination.
It would be great if this feature was implemented in a future version of your theme.
thanks for trying.
I was able to create a workaround using the tools we had. I was able to create a look-a-like nav menu similar to the sortable on each type of portfolio category. What I did was use the template builder to create a new template for each category item. then I added a text area that shows the portfolio menu and then I added a portfolio section that only pulls from that specific category. Rinse and repeat for each category. Then I created distinct pages for each category type that uses the corresponding template for that category. ET voila. what you wanted.
You can see the results here :: http://nemogould.com

In my case, I have about 8 different categories each containing close to 100 items in each category. This limitation really causes some problems. Is there any workaround that you can think of to make this sort work throughout a category?
Would it be possible to create a menu specific to portfolio category pages that lists all the categories at the top (similar to the sortable menu)? I would just lose the cool sort animation.
Any help would be appreciated.

I really hate to complicate matters, but I’m seeing new weirdness with the pagination on the portfolio page. While it does indeed work now, the filtering is messed up. Selecting a filter only shows you items in that category from the page you are viewing. For example, from page one on the portfolio if you select “for sale” only page one items appears, because the filter is only being applied to that page. Selecting page two resets the filter to “all”. This is obviously a problem if I’m trying to make it easy for people to quickly identify what is available for sale etc.
Thank you for the response. However, when I remove the background images in those areas and add the suggested css to Quick CSS, I still end up with the background color that is set under each tab. I would like that color to be transparent as well.

Hi again :::…
I think I am onto something.
I’m seeing something different now. The pagination is working on my portfolio page. I think this might have been the slug issue which I think may be resolved :: http://www.nemogould.com/stage/portfolio/ :: thank you very much.
when you click on the the pagination it delivers an URL :: http://www.nemogould.com/stage/portfolio/page/4/ – which makes sense.
However, the front page which pulls from multiple portfolio categories (and mirrors the portfolio) still does not work correctly. I’m seeing that it is going to the page :: http://www.nemogould.com/stage/page/3/ – when I click on page 3 in pagination at the bottom – which doesn’t actually exist.

Good morning Devin :::…
I have the slug “portfolio-item” on that Portfolio tab and no other use of that slug anywhere else on the site (categories, pages, posts, etc.).
I tried changing that slug to something completely unique (jibberish) and it still didn’t paginate. I also tried changing the permalinks back to default with the unique slug in place – and that doesn’t work.
I’m a little dead in the water here as I need to get this site up and running asap.
is there anyway that I can create a user for you and have you take a look to see if I am doing something incorrectly?
please let me know. and thanks.
I love this theme..JayDecember 10, 2012 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Pagination not working on front page and 404 on portfolio pages – Eunoia #99631
Unfortunately it is not fixed with permalinks set to default. and I’ve disabled plugins to no avail.
A strange thing is that I was able to create a new template called Media that pulls portfolio items only form the media category. it works fine with multiple pages.
I tried limiting the front page template and default portfolio template to one category but it still didn’t work.
I will contact my host provider, but any advice assistance you can provide would be most helpful.
Perhaps there is a way to add an option to make the portfolio item sticky like a post.
