  • in reply to: how can you set up post images to appear in light box? #62755

    UPDATE:

    I figured out how to include the pictures in one light box. You go to the html section when you are writing the post and add rel=”prettyPhoto[singlepost]” at the end of the image link. for example-a href=”http://www.scitechverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Smithsonian.jpg” rel=”prettyPhoto[singlepost]”. This links every thing together.

    ONE MORE QUESTION:

    Is it possible to do this automatically every time you insert an image inside a post? If so, how do you do it? It’s kinda lame if you have to go to each picture in all your posts to change this.

    Thank you Dude and Chris for helping us. I think the support is awesome.

    Thanks.

    Okie, just to clarify more, please take a look at this screenshot, http://i.imgur.com/EykBI.png,

    The red box on the top is where I want the ad to appear.

    When I use this code,

    echo ‘

    <table cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”3″ border=”0″ align=”left” width=”95%” class=”tborder”>

    <tr>

    <td align=”center”>

    ur adsense code here

    </td>

    </tr>

    </table>';

    the ad appears on the header at the wrong place and all other stuffs on the header are moved. This is the screenshot of what happens, http://i.imgur.com/n163w.png

    Can you please help with this.

    I think a lot of other people are interested so, it would be good for all of us.

    Like I mentioned above, it would be a positive thing in future to give options for posting ads in different places of the webpage. I think it’s a selling point for you guys.

    Thanks again for all the help

    Yeah I tried that but if I put it in the head section, it moves the search bar and other stuff to weird places. can’t figure out how to do it? That would be a lot of help.

    May be you guys can include that in future updates. Bunch of places for users to input ads, kinda like you put ads if you want to and just leave it if you don’t want to.

    Can you please help with this guys? or anyone who knows how to do this?

    Hello, I was trying to do this too. I have the adsense code from Google. Like James Morrison said, I tried to post it in the header section after:

    <!– title –>

    <title><?php if (is_home()) { bloginfo(‘name’); ?><?php } elseif (is_category() || is_page() ||is_single()) { ?> <?php } ?><?php wp_title(”); ?></title>

    but it didn’t work. Also how to I control where I want to appear in the banner. I think the other objects in the banner are gonna move if I don’t place the adsense code correctly.

    Also the code I obtain from google is in this format:

    <script type=”text/javascript”><!–

    google_ad_client = “XXXXXXXXXXXXX”;

    /* scitechverse top */

    google_ad_slot = “2648573701”;

    google_ad_width = 468;

    google_ad_height = 60;

    //–>

    </script>

    <script type=”text/javascript”

    src=”http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js”>

    </script>

    Do I have to add special syntax in the header.php page?

    Thanks a lot. You guys are awesome!

    in reply to: How to set up certain blog posts to appear in certain pages? #60697

    Hey Dude, thanks man. This worked.

    I have one more question for you:

    How can I stop a post from appearing in the slideshow in the main page? I want to insert a picture that shows up right before the post, but don’t want that picture to appear in the slideshow. For example- in my website http://www.scitechverse.com, I don’t want the post titled “Memory stored on 12 atoms!” to appear in the slideshow but want that small picture in front on the post.

    Can you please tell me how to do this?

    Looks like the http://www.billerickson.net/code/display-posts-shortcode-full-content/ allows you to know full content on any of the pages. I would really appreciate if you could tell me how to do it. I am a newbie trying to set-up a website, so this would be helpful for now. I will definitely learn more as I go on but this would help me jump start this webpage I am working on.

    Also as you mentioned above, do I have to use both http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/ and the bill erickson code to set this up?

    Just to make things clear, what I want is to show complete posts (like they appear when you click on a category or a main page right now) on pages I want.

    Once again I really appreciate your help. Dude. You guys are awesome man.
