    here are the settings http://postimg.org/image/iztoar0n5/

yet it still shows the entire blog and not just an excerpt, or title only whenever i change them.

Thanks for all the responses, it seems that this is an important issue.

We have removed all the code that was displaying incorrectly in IE9 and 8, though these versions of IE still cannot fully render the website the way that FFox, Chrome and IE10 can. I’ll try the plugin and let you know what happens.

    Hi Nick,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I’m on a Win 7 platform using Chrome, FFox and IE interchangeably to create the site. The problem arises with all three browsers. There really isn’t any recording I can provide your with. Simply, I set a sidebar in a page and click update. If I decide I need to edit something in the page, when I go in through the dashboard the sidebar automatically resets to Default, so that when I click update again, the sidebar for the page disappears (since we have no content in the Default sidebar). From there I have to log back in and set the sidebar again. So now the problem is we have to remember to set the sidebar every time we go to edit a page, or it disappears again.

This problem is actually quite large. We had been working in IE10 so the problem just came to our attention. A number of different features are failing in IE9 and below, mostly additional image and page functionality that is provided by the Advanced Layout Editor. We have also noticed that if you go into dashboard and edit a page using IE9 or below, the content of the page will erase itself, almost completely.

What can be done to resolve this?

I have also added !important after the css, but it has still not worked. What other options are there?

in reply to: Main Menu on Low Res #133009

I added the code to the website, but it did not render. Do I need to add !important after it?

in reply to: 3.6 upgrade procedure #133642

is it better to first upgrade to 3.6 then upgrade the theme, first upgrade the theme and then upgrade to 3.6, or does it not matter?

in reply to: 3.6 upgrade procedure #133641

    Hi Devin,

The only file that I have modified is the custom.css file. I will ask other members of staff, but to my knowledge no additional theme editing has been performed. After watching your video, it seems like we simply need to make a backup of that file and FTP the new theme to the server. I hope it turns out that simple.

Here is a URL of how our main menu displays when the resolution is set to the kind you would see with a mobile device:

How can we get the side-scrolling ability with a fixed layout?

in reply to: Main Menu on Low Res #133006

    Hi Devin,

The site is not yet live, we are developing it within a staging site that is password protected. We noticed this problem when someone on our team logged into the staging site from their mobile device. They were not able to zoom out. Later we changed the resolution of one of our monitors to 800×600 and saw the same problem, that there is no ability to scroll side to side if the layout is set to fixed.

Could you provide an idea of what configurations we could change to fix this problem?

in reply to: form integration #132253

    Hey Nick,

I haven’t been able to find which version of Enfold we are using. Where is that documentation located?

As far as the issues are concerned, I have implemented the recommendation put forth by Ismael, and it is working as an acceptable workaround. Nevertheless, I would like to know what is causing the failure so as to avoid triggering it again in the future.

If more details are needed regarding the nature of the problem, please let me know.

    Thanks

I have looked through the akismet plugin, but I haven’t seen anything that resembles the functionality I am looking for. Thanks for responding.

in reply to: Ban by email domain #132010

Thanks for the response guys. I tried the Stop Spammers plugin, but it can only block targeted email domains that try and register on the site. What I need is to block targeted domains from having the ability to submit their information in a form, so that the form rejects submissions from those targeted domains.

When I say form I mean like a ‘Request More Information’ form, we are having problems with fake submissions.

Ok, thanks much Ismael. Is there any reason why the ALE has trouble with certain HTML tags? We had this problem yesterday with a (font) and a (sup) tag, I know (font) is deprecated, but I was surprised to see that it caused all of ALE to crash.

in reply to: Ban by email domain #132008

Is there a way to code any of the forms so that targeted email domains are prohibited from submitting on the form?

in reply to: form integration #132249

Thanks for the response Ismael. We are trying to use the Advanced Layout Editor (ALE) to insert the <form> code into a text box. The complete code can be seen here: http://pastebin.com/iseFT5yk

The form displays on the page when loaded only once. On the WP backend it causes the ALE to fail, objects don’t display normally, and the text box the <form> code its in deletes itself when the backend is accessed.

How can we get the ALE to function with <form>, <label>. <option> and <input> tags present?

    Thanks again.

I tried it, it looks like its only for blogs, and I need to prevent spammers from entering their information into the form on our site. Do you know of any other plugins?

in reply to: Cannot Center Page Content #130099

Update: I have been able to center the text in the page, but now the images are left-justified instead of centered. *facepalm*

    Thanks much Nick.

in reply to: blog post feature image #129381

    It worked! Thanks so much.

Just out of curiosity, how does the regenerate button work? Does it just target images that have the same dimensions as those for the name that is checked? (i.e., if Rectangle has dimensions of 500×400, are all images 500×400 in size automatically categorized as “Rectangle”? Does Regenerate then automatically target them?) I’d like to know in case I have to use this feature again in the future, I would like to know how to use it properly.

in reply to: blog post feature image #129379

    Thanks for the reply Nick,

I have installed the SIS plugin and set a custom image size as indicated here: http://i.imgur.com/0ZGt4bf.png and here: http://i.imgur.com/GGL0V1z.png

However, when I go into Posts and set a Feature Image, I do not have the Attachment Display Settings option seen here: http://i.imgur.com/gbDDBI1.jpg

The only option I have is Attachment Details, which includes sub-options of Edit Image, Delete Permanently, Title, Caption, Alt Text, and Description.

Needless to say, I still cannot control the dimensions of the Feature Image in Posts, nor the in-page image in the blog. How else should I configure the SIS plugin? Any other recommendations?

    Thank you for your time.
