Unfortunately wordpress-https doesnt work with our site, you cant access wp-admin once
the plugin is active (redirects to login).
We want the whole site to be https.
I think there are some url(null) settings in your .css which are causing the problem. Since Firefox 24
these now trigger the block action.
Thanks!September 22, 2013 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Is it possible to have a menu that only appears when logged in ? #164793
Thanks – I’ll try with the latest theme. I’m keeping all my forums public (visible) for now. I’ll dig into the PHP code to see if I can find the trip point.
Where is the version given by the way in the propulsion install.
I’ve disabled most of my plugins except the ones that are essential and still no luck. Its just a standard wordpress install (latest wordpress). How do I determine the version of propulsion I’m using – I think I’m up to date. I dont use WooCommerce.
Sorry – no it makes no difference. I tried running in default, and then switching back, refreshing links, etc. Anything else I could try? I’m familiar with PHP so can get into the code if necessary.September 6, 2012 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Propulsion – Portfolio enteries return '404' when clicked on #89809
Its another plugin which is causing an issue – it seems to generate some error messages which affect the portfolio handling. If I deactivate the plugin the portfolio works ok.September 6, 2012 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Propulsion – Portfolio enteries return '404' when clicked on #89807
Portfolio seems completely broken. I have the latest update. Sometimes portfolio items appear randomly at the bottom of pages, and even deleting everything and putting in new items doesnt work.
Ok – I figured out how to add a new template. But I’d like to remove the title from the page. It looks like there is a call to avia_title() which returns the title, if I remove this – the title is not shown but the layout falls apart. I’m guessing ‘avia_title’ also sets up something for the content page.
I dont need the title on the page – or the search box so would like to skip this. The rest is OK – I’ve managed to add my content, etc.
Login process is actually OK – its just the ‘callout’ banner on the frontpage that wont clear with Safari. Also fails on iPhone with latest iOS. If you clock on close so that website/#close is triggered nothing happens. On iPhone this means you cant see the page menu as the combo is hidden.July 20, 2012 at 8:23 am in reply to: How do I create a fullwidth page – really full width – to browser edges #83786
Thanks. The two styles I had to mess around with are the ‘content’ and ‘container’ styles. I changed content by modifying the php scripts to include an ‘id’ on the classes – searching for the classname is problematic. I then search for the id, and modify the css ie setting margins, changing widths.
This would have been easier if the theme allowed you to just add a new theme page eg. fullwidth.php with a ‘Template Name’ set at the top, but your themes dont seem to allow this (I tried it).
@elames: Its a good point – and I know the ~940 width is standard. Its just that if we can scale down for pads/phones we should be able to scale up for bigger screens :)July 19, 2012 at 7:35 pm in reply to: How do I create a fullwidth page – really full width – to browser edges #83783
