Hey Dude, on the product pages, the main heading still seems to be “Shop” and not the title of the product. If I inspect though, both the main heading and the product title appear to be H1s. Aren’t you only supposed to have one H1 on every page for SEO?
Just as an FYI, I’ve switched the portfolio settings in theme options to open on the same page via AJAX for the time being. This works properly, but I would prefer them to open in separate pages. Still, if you hover over a portfolio item now, you’ll see that they’re all linked to the same place.
I just updated my theme from version 1.3.x to 1.4.1. I had this code applied:
if(is_product_category() || is_product_tag())
$tax = $wp_query->get_queried_object();
$title = $tax->name;
$t_link = ”;
else if( is_product() )
$title = get_the_title();
$t_link = ”;
I tried to make the same change in the file in version 1.4.1 and it seems to work on most pages, but on my product category pages, I’m seeing this:
I can confirm that this coding change causes the problem because it goes away if I remove these changes. Can you please help?
On my site, clicking either the product image thumbnail or the text below it has no effect. The only way to get to the product page is to click the “Read More” button below. If I can’t replicate the Abundance hover states easily, can I at least enable this click action so users can just click the image or link to be taken to the product page?
Actually, I notice that if I double-click on the product image thumbnail, the page will open, but not if I single click. That’s weird…
I tried this code but the videos are still not showing as a result.
I’ve done all you suggest and it hasn’t been fixed. Can you please look into this a little more closely?
I added this to the quick CSS but the form is still showing.
I have issues with the tabs too. They aren’t showing at all. I’ve disabled all plugins besides Woocommerce and just downloaded the latest version of the Replete theme. Here’s a link:
It also automatically jumps you down to #tab-description when you load the page.
I tried all these steps and I’m still having the issue on the forum page (link above). I deleted all the fields of the form in the admin, but it won’t let me delete the text area. I haven’t seen it show up on other pages besides the forum home. Any other ideas to hide it?
I reinstalled the replete files from the Themeforest download and it now works. No idea what the issue was.
I’ve tried removing all portfolio entries and deleting the page. Still nothing. The odd thing is, this was working fine for a day or so and then suddenly stopped working. Is there a place I could post my WP login credentials so you could have a look?
Thanks Ismael, but it still doesn’t work. The video still does not show on http://squaresound.wpengine.com/videos/interview-with-nobuo-uematsu-and-arnie-roth/. None of the Youtube videos show either.
I fixed the second issue by just hiding subcategories altogether. It works for my particular setup. Now I’m just concerned about the first issue and I should be good. Thanks.
Alright, I tried this and it solves the problem for the posts themselves, but my homepage still displays the huge images:
Also, is there any way to just not display the sub-category thumbnails at all? I know I can just remove the category thumbnail, but then there are no thumbnail images showing on the category pages.
It seems like some strange design decisions were made with this theme.
I understand that, but then none of my posts have featured images for the sidebar widgets or “related posts” section at the bottom of the post. Is there any other suggestion?
Unfortunately, that didn’t resolve the problem either. Any other suggestions? This is becoming a real problem.
Thanks for the reply, Peter, but I don’t believe that is the problem. I found a similar article in my search and it I don’t have this Sushonin installed on my server. Also, like I said, I can add to the menu without problems if I have a different theme activated. Only when Abundance is activated do I have this problem.
Sorry, try this link instead.
Thanks for that. Maybe I need to recreate thumbnails, but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference. If I tweak the widths in CSS, it shrinks the pictures, but then the “more information” and “add to cart” buttons that appear as you hover over the thumbnails doesn’t look very good.
I’ve followed various hacks I’ve found on various pages to improve the quality of my thumbnails, but they still look terrible. Some of my product images are fairly small, but they should be large enough to generate decent looking thumbnails. On several products, the main product image (which in some cases is “blown up” to fit the space on the product page) looks better quality than the thumbnails, and I just can’t figure out why. I’m fine with the thumbnails the size they are, but I need to fix the blurriness somehow. Do you have any advice?
Looks like a style issue. See this page: http://dev.bhrdirect.co.uk/product-category/general-health/.
Almost like there’s not enough room for the sidebar since the upgrade.
Looks like woocommerce just released another update (1.61). I installed this and the missing products on the homepage re-appeared. The sidebar appearing below the content on the store pages is still happening though.
