    My first WordPress theme…it was a little difficult to begin with (coming from Joomla!), but I think I kinda got the hang of it, maybe?

    Yes, I see the Magic Wand > Widgets and 3 are listed.

    I inserted the “Latest Posts” widget and renamed it to my Custom Menu named: Footer Menu

    However, I am getting an Error on the page:

    : Widget class not found. Make sure this widget exists and the class name is correct

    I’ve tried it with the class name of “widget_class_name=”newsbox” – default for Latest Posts and without a class name at all both attempts give me the error above.

    I know the Footer Menu exists because it can be seen in the Footer area.

    I’ve also tried Custom Menu, Custom Menu : Main Menu etc…

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

    So the regenerate-thumbnails will delete the images that I am not currently using once I’ve edited the functions.php file?

    That would be just too cool, I’ll have to give that a spin.

    Thanks.

    Hi Chris,

    Wow, I wish I would have known that before I even started…LOL

    It sure would have saved me a lot of time.

    Thanks.

    I used the custom menu widget to create the correct order for the menu in the footer and that worked fine..

    However I don’t see any way for me to get that custom menu widget into the sitemap page…?

    I can probably get it into the “Sidebar”, but how can I use a custom widget in the content section of the page and not the sidebar or footer?

    Since the page is “blank” to begin with, it’s all dynamically created.

    I tried creating an unordered list with the menu links in the correct order but they don’t “show up” on the page?

    I did this in HTML for the Archive/Sitemap Template and when I clicked back to “Visual” it removed all my html?

    Quite the enigma.

    Thanks,

    worked like a charm…thanks Dude

    Thanks for the reply however the only place I have that code you designated is in the header.php and I think I need it there for the slide show.

    I don’t want to remove the “image” I have in place. I just don’t want it to cycle (uneccessary javascript)

    in reply to: POSTs Pagination Is Backwards? #57105

    So what you suggest required a core code hack (because the style is applied only to the href elements – see function-set-avia-frontend.php) so I had to add another <span> to enclose the href elements in which I could float right, I tried this and got it to work in all browsers except for IE7.

    I could find no solution for IE7 because both the pagination and the sidebar are positioned relative to the page. So I would be happy to use the way it is with IE7 and apply my hack for all the other browsers.

    The only way I think I can make it work is to detect IE7 and assign that to a variable then use if/else, but I haven’t found a way to just detect IE7 and assign a variable which I can use in the if/else statement…

    <b>Do you know of a way to detect IE7 and assign that to a variable?</b>

    Whatever I tried (adding functions) in this file function-set-avia-frontend.php would always give me a “blank” page..so I’m missing something.

    Thanks.

    Is there anyway NOT to create 5 images for each image as I have no need for the extra size images and don’t want the “bloat” of having all these images that I’m not going to use.

    So is there a way to just add the image and size that I want and NOTHING ELSE?

    Thanks,

    in reply to: POSTs Pagination Is Backwards? #57103

    Well I been thinkin about what you said and I have found that this is causing the issue:

    #top .pagination span, #top .pagination a {

    display:block;

    float:right;

    font-size:11px;

    line-height:13px;

    padding:2px 9px 1px 9px;

    text-decoration:none;

    width:auto;

    }

    I floated the pagination (.pagination a) right so that the navigation would be on the “right” side instead of the left, and I floated the (pagination-meta) Page 1 of 3 to the left.

    The problem is that once the nav is floated right I get the backwards numbering

    3 | 2 | 1 |

    So the question is how do I get the .pagination a to be postioned on the right and yet retain proper numerical sequence?

    I haven’t figured that out yet….any suggestions?

    However, I would think that a text-align:left would solve this but it doesn’t?

    Sorry I haven’t gone live with the site yet…so I can’t post a link for you.

    I’m pretty efficient with CSS and have looked over the #top .pagination entries and I don’t see how the CSS would be affecting the order of the page links?

    /*pagination*/

    #top .pagination {

    clear:both;

    padding: 10px 0;

    position:relative;

    z-index:3;

    line-height: 13px;

    overflow: hidden;

    }

    #top .pagination span, #top .pagination a {

    display:block;

    float:right;

    font-size:11px;

    line-height:13px;

    padding:2px 9px 1px 9px;

    text-decoration:none;

    width:auto;

    }

    #top .pagination .current{

    font-size:11px;

    padding:2px 9px 1px 9px;

    font-weight: bold;

    }

    #top .pagination a:hover{

    text-decoration: underline;

    }

    #top .pagination .pagination-meta{

    float:left;

    }

    Hey Dude, thanks I just found that too!…wow except for bookmarking that link there isn’t any “easy” way to get to that link from the Forum page, unless you click on “favorites” from a post that you’ve already had…

    Unless, I’m just not “seeing” my Profile Page link when I’m logged in?

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Different Sidebar for Each Page? #54867

    Ok, it’s a shame…with all the great FREE Forums available I would think that you could.

    That’s the only “bummer” I have found…

    1. you do great template work (as seen by how many purchase)

    2. your support is “top-notch”

    3. your support forum is terrible

    a. I can’t search just the Corona forums for what I need (so you get multiple posts about the same thing on your forum)

    b. I can’t get email notified about the posts that I have, when someone responds

    c. I don’t have any place to identify my posts so when someone replies to my post I can no longer identify it by my name

    With all the great work you do, and the fact there are so many great forums out there (vBulletin, PHPBB, myBB, Simple Machines etc.)

    that do all those things that make it convenient for your customers I would think you guys would consider this.

    Plus, the amount of activity you have really warrants a better forum software.

    Thanks.

    The “Posts” I am referring to are on this Forum, not in WordPress…:-)

    Is there a way to get an email when someone responds to one of my posts on this Forum, so that I know to check back here?

    Thanks for all you help.

    in reply to: Concerning the Site Title and Breadcrumbs? #55061

    Chris,

    Yes, the breadcrumbs are there I just wanted to shorten them from Victory’s Vision Christian Church (blog name) to Victory’s Vision…which your explanation allowed me to do..you da man!

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Turn OFF "Read More…" on portfolio items #54919

    Ok thanks that really helps..I should have been able to find that, gettin’ lazy I guess.

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Different Sidebar for Each Page? #54863

    Hey Dude…:-)

    Thanks for the reply…I figured that out and installed the Custom Sidebars extension…works like a dream!

    Is there a way to get an email when someone has replied to one of my posts, because currently that’s not happening ;-)

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Different Sidebar for Each Page? #54861

    Whoopsie Daisies….

    When I followed your instructions I went to Theme Options…

    Selected the PAGE that should receive a new widget area.

    Went to Widgets and the new Widget area was there

    Put new widget in that location

    Now when I view the webpage on the site it has all the other widgets on the Sidebar Pages (right), plus the New one specifically for that page?

    I don’t want to show all the other widgets on that page just the one I created specifically for that sidebar, so why do the other ones show up too?

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Different Sidebar for Each Page? #54859

    Ahhh OK, well that was just too easy!

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Submit Button – Contact Form #54621

    Thanks but I had a slight brainlapse when I posted…

    I simply found the shortcode style for the button I’m using throughout the site, applied a new class to the submit button with that shortcode style, so all is good now…

    Thanks.

    in reply to: Hover Button Color, Caption Background color #53927

    To change the “caption” color for Accordion Slider:

    1. Open slideshow.css

    2. Look for 2 entries:

    .aviacordion .heading_clone

    .aviacordion .heading_clone h1

    Change “Background: ” entry

    If you’re using a different slider look for that in the slideshow.css file…all slider colors are in there.

    in reply to: Home Page Link Doesn't Work #53956
