the above code when I edit in Display theme is not correctly shown in the browsers.
no 'circle' image is shown in the head of 'item1' and 'item2'. Also unexpected underline is shown in 'item1' and 'item2'

Hi,

The theme works fine and swapping out the slider , you can test out with a lite version that is free.

All you would need to do is take out line 12 from index.php and insert the line for the new slider.

Thanks,

Are there any plans to update the code, I just purchased the theme and if it is going into the moth-ball fleet I would not have purchased it. I like the theme and can only hope that it will be updated.. please let me know if it will or will not be getting updated and if there is a time frame.. Wp3.6 is in beta so seems a little behind the curve on this theme...

Thanks for the info...

Hi sfranks12,

You can change the index.php file in the theme files if you want to change out the slider. In general, a lot of the code from Display is outdated at this point since it hasn't been updated to work with anything beyond Wordpress 3.3 going by the notes on its Themeforest listing.

So most of the how-tos or tutorials for editing the plugins or scripts that were used will be using different versions that what comes with the theme.

Regards,

The link to the XML file looks to be for the newest version.. the coding does not look anything like what is already in the XML for the Display theme...

Hi,

I would suggest swapping out that slider , since there are dozens of different sliders out now both free and premium that you have a large selection to chose from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/slider.

Hi sfranks12,

We are really only able to support Kriesi's themes and implementation of plugins supported by some of those themes (woocommerce for the ecommerce themes etc).

You should check that plugins documentation or its support forums for questions.

I don't know no. Loading in fonts is pretty straightforward by itself but if you want to use things like icon fonts it can be a bit more steps depending on what you are doing.

But we are getting into general web dev questions which aren't really covered under what we can offer via our support forums. Your best route is to either hire a freelance developer or find a tutorial that can walk you through it.

It is not necessarily the fonts, but the icons that the Entypo and Fontello offer. The font-loader at WordPress loads fonts, but if you want them compatible with IE you have to pay $12... Can I still use the Google fonts and import the Entypo and Fontello into it, would you happen to know??

Hi sfranks12,

Not sure what you mean by paying $12 dollars, but google fonts actually provides the raw code for you when using their font chooser here: http://www.google.com/fonts/

Then you just add it to your header and you can style things with that font.

Hi,

Yes, you need to create a font folder then call that font on your header.php then call it again on your CSS file. It is easier if you'll use these plugins.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/font-uploader/

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-google-fonts/.

What font are you trying to add?

Regards,
Ismael

Hi,

You can use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-google-fonts/.

If you're comfortable editing your theme files, then you'd put the <link> tag into your header.php file (just below the opening <head> tag) and then call the font within your CSS file, following Google Fonts' example.

You can probably test this also. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/font/

Please refer to this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Playing_With_Fonts for more info.

Regards,

I guess I am miss reading the instructions... will look into it a bit more...

I just want to say that, This is the BEST place for support.... On most of the support areas on Wordpress for like, plugins, it can be months before you see any help, and a lot of the time it is not for your request, but here it is within a reasonable time frame and it ALWAYS gets your problem fixed..

Thanks and keep up the good work...
