It seems to work fine now. I have no third party plugins other than the ones that come with WP. I've created a child theme and since then it seems to hold the saved info. Thanks dude!

Hi,
because I wanted to have an overview of the available icons and they are really bad to preview using the file explorer (because of the color) I did a contact sheet with all delivered images on a dark background. Klick for bigger version.

Personally I experienced a similar issue in the past and the problem was caused by a third party plugin (Post Types Order). Try to deactivate all third party plugins and check if this solves the issue - if yes activate them one by one to find the conflicting one. In my case I just had to reactivate all plugins and everything worked flawlessly afterwards.

No, but you can use your "file explorer" and the "thumbnail view" to preview all available icons. Open the wp-content\themes\replete\images\icons\iconbox\ folder - it contains all available icons and you can also add new icons to it (just upload/copy them into the folder).

I have created 3 new menus and saved them. When I select the 3 menus from the pop downs on the 'Theme Location' option and save it seems to save but if I go to the front end it is still using the fallback menu structure. If I go back to the menu options and refresh the page the 3 pop downs return to being set to blank.

Hi alainaho,

I'm not sure what you mean by custom thumbnails, I thought you refer on the size of the custom thumbnails that is shown on the portfolio entries (you can do that by adjust thing the height and width of the code above). If you are referring on uploading a custom thumbnail and replaced the old image, I believe you have already done it on your site.

Hey craigstephen,

That is quite a bit beyond what we could show you in a single post but I'll try ;)

The basics for media queries are it says for this size of screen, change the following css.

So for your page, you would start with the following css in your custom.css file:

/* #Media Queries
================================================== */

 /* Smaller than standard 960 (devices and browsers) */
 @media only screen and (max-width: 959px) {}

 /* Tablet Portrait size to standard 960 (devices and browsers) */
 @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 959px) {}

 /* All Mobile Sizes (devices and browser) */
 @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {}

 /* Mobile Landscape Size to Tablet Portrait (devices and browsers) */
 @media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px) {}

 /* Mobile Portrait Size to Mobile Landscape Size (devices and browsers) */
 @media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {}

Then add new css rules to make your content do whatever you want for each size. The main issue you will run into using the layout you have in your example is that your images are already 216x216 which means that on the mobile views they will need to stretch to expand and fill the container. You could center them, but if you wanted them to expand to their container you would need to have them set to 100% width and a container for each column.

You could try using the themes shortcode for it, but it will still take some adjustment and testing.

Regards,

Devin

Hi alainaho,

Kindly open wp-content\themes\angular\functions.php and find this line of code:

$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] = array('width'=>465, 'height'=>346); // images for portfolio entries (2,3,4 column)

and replace it with:

$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] = array('width'=>465, 'height'=>346, 'crop'=>true); // images for portfolio entries (2,3,4 column)

This will crop the images you have uploaded to make sure it will have uniform size without considering the aspect ratio of the image. Then kindly use the Regenerate plugin to regenerate all your images, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

I also noticed that some of the portfolio columns are too long which pushes the image below it. Try to make it shorter so they also have uniform size in space. Hope this helps.

Yoast SEO works with the template builder however the workflow is a bit different. You need to configure the SEO options for each page you apply the template to. Eg if you apply the template "A" to page "B" and "C" you need to set the seo title/description for page "B" and "C" and you can't set the seo settings for the dynamic template "A" directly.

Hi,

You can check css > grid.css and layout.css, look for these contents.

#Media Queries

#Tablet (Portrait)
#Mobile (Portrait)
#Mobile (Landscape)

It will give you some ideas on how to create a responsive layout. Basically you will be using this code

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {

 /* Style for Mobile Devices here */

}

You can create the changes on your custom.css.

Hello chaps.

A little guidance please...

I need a secondary style portfolio layout. It needs to be 4 columns. No heading title, just a plain square box thumbnail. On click action will trigger the modal lightbox to reveal the full size image.

I almost have it, see this page ... http://flyingstartonline.co.uk/ourservices/illustration/

You might be thinking - well why are you asking us for help if you've already done it?

Answer: It does not tie into your responsive css. Therefore when you view on a small device the thumbnails are too small, don't fill the width of the site and have alignment issues. Also, I'm having some slight computability issues with older browsers, which is making me think my coding isn't as good as it could be.

I was wondering if you could give me a sample piece of code that illustrates how to best put together a 4 column thumbnail gallery. I don't require it to dynamically pull the data from portfolio items, I don't mind it's just DIV's with ID's and CLASS's, I just don't know where to start when it comes to your responsive CSS.

Thanks guys :)

I'm using Yoast WordPress SEO but because most of my content (90%) is hidden away in the template builder I'm worried it won't get seen by google efficiently enough. The plugins preview feature is kinda of redundant because of this, unless you tell me i'm not using it correctly with your theme?

I have just done a google search for my url and the only pages that showed up we're the blog posts!! (this makes up the remaining 10% of my sites content). AND worryingly the description for all results we're showing the line from the 'Top Banner Message' * including the word 'close'.

Getting seen through searches in the main route to market, can you shed some light.

Sorry if this has already had a discussion, I can't find anything closely related.
