Hi,

Please open the header.php file and find the header-phone.. remove the image assisted-living.png file and instead paste the code below to render a css button inside the same div which contained the now removed image. You should change the link in the code to reflect the correct destination url within your site and style it as you see fit

Here is the code for the button

<a href="http://www.my-url.com/change-this/to-whatever-you-want/" class="avia-button grey custom large" style="background-color:#3a5b43;border-color:#000"><span class="avia-">Tell Us How We Are Doing</span></a>

As for "call function url", I am not sure what that is and neither does google it seems. As I don't own a mobile, please show me a website and point to a phone number on it that is a "call function url", and I can replicate it.

Thanks,

applied this solution and it works well other than the image will not go to the assigned url but rather grabs the logo url everytime. I was wondering if we could take it a step further http://wwwquadcitiesassistedliving.zippykid.it/ - see upper right header button and phone in one image.
1) Is there a way to use the shortcode button instead of the one image with the button and phone (Good fake job, but I'd rather keep consistency throughout the site with the button)
2) Insert the phone number with "call function url" so if Im on my iphone or droid and hit the phone number on the site it auto dials?

Thank you in advance, the you guys have best themes on the net and the support is awesome to.

Hey! Not sure if I understand correctly but you want your blogposts to display this div instead of the post content for each blog post?

Then you would need to open the file includes/loop-index.php and remove line 116-123.
in line 114 (before the php tag) you could add your div

Hi -- sorry to keep following up this post with more questions, but I just need a bit more clarification.

You said if I want to float a div next to the content. I want to completely remove the blog post so that there is a big, centered div taking up most of the screen next to the sidebar. What code should I remove to get rid of JUST the blog post... so I can insert a div next to the sidebar. Would I also add my CSS for the div in my custom.css?

Thanks for your patience.

Yes, if you alter the code for pages it will of course be displayed. Since I dont have a layout on what you are trying to accomplish its hard to tell were the best way to ad an additional div would b.

If you want that div to float next to the content It would probably best to add it at line 26 or 29.

If you want it outside the content area at line 13 or 67

Hi Kriesi,

Thanks for your help.

I have a question: if one alters the html in loop-page.php will my code display instead of your entry?

I want to completely customise the page.php template for myself so that I can float a big container div in the center of the page, next to the sidebar. Where would I put my additional code for that div?

Hey!

ad 1:) I am not sure I understand: once you switch to the gallery view of page you will be able to view the thumbnails and click them just like in the theme you linked to. What exactly do you want to accomplish?

add 2.) If you are talking about the mini content box that is also visible on the theme demo starting page: This is unfortunately not possible with this theme. You could of course do some heavy modifications and display each images caption within that box but this is unfortunately a modification that is too big for the support forum we got here and more of a customization job :)

I have recently opened a thread on themeforest for authors who can be hired and know their way around WordPress. You might want to contact one of those:

http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/so-you-know-how-to-customize-a-template-and-want-to-make-some-money/24795?page=1

Hope this helps!
Best regards

Open header.php and add a div with class "phone_number" at line 106

now add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/ or to the quick-css panel located in your wordpress backend at abundance->styling:

.phone_number{
position:absolute;
top:10px;
right:5px;
color:#fff;
}

Change the alignemnt and color properties to your likings :)
If you add the css code to the quick css panel no update will be able to overwrite it. Unfortunately this is not true for the header.php modifications, you need to take care that you dont overwrite them everytime you update the theme

Hi There,

I'd like to know if there's a way to add a contact phone number to the header area just above the social icons and search?

Ideally, I'd like to find a solution that is update friendly without having to hack too many core files.

Could you please let me know if there's a straightforward way to accomplish this?

Thank You

Hello again!

I have two questions:

1. I am looking to have the fullscreen with the navigation controls on the bottom for the entirety of my gallery. However, I would like to add a thumbnail slider that will allow viewers to preview the photos before they click on it. The idea is to make it look something like this:

http://themes.swishthemes.com/?theme=photox <-- This has the desired thumbnail slider on every page, whereas I just want mine for the gallery...

2. How do I tailor the right hand content box to change for every image on display. So for instance, if I have an image of a boat, how do I change it so that the content box adjusts to describe the boat in the image?

Help is sincerely appreciated.

Hi,
the frontpage sidebar is hardcoded (no widget area) - to replace the code with a widget area is a bit of work so I can't help you with it but you can try to replace the sidebar yourself by following the instructions here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-create-new-widget-area
