Hi,

I would like to change the comment's design to the one you are using here in the forum, i.e. with no square around the avatars, so that the comments look sort of a comic-bubble. Where are changes to be made?

Thank you.

Thank you, that worked great. Yes, I have Akismet loaded, (thank goodness), otherwise it would be a huge problem.

Hey,

1.) In style.css (around line 1429) change this:

.personal_data p {
    float: left;
    width: 33%;
}

to this:

.personal_data p {
    width: 50%;
}

2.) This is a bug, but WP related rather than a fault of the theme. One solution would be to add client side validation to the theme (JS) so that the fields are checked and shows an error message if a required field is blank / not valid.

3.) Are you running Akismet? If not activate it, you'll see next to no spam. If you add a captcha, you'll avoid automated spam, but might still get human spam. You might see the opposite of the desired effect because captchas are really annoying...

First off, I love this theme! Very nicely done... I have a few questions/requests regarding the Comments section:

1. Is there a way to display the Name, Email. Website part of the comment submission form in a standard list instead of tabs? My comments have been reduced since switching to this theme and I'm wondering if the form needs to be more obvious?
2. In IE, if somebody doesn't fill in all the required fields, they are taken to an error page that doesn't allow them to go back to the form either through a link or through the browser... can this be addressed?
3. Finally, I noticed after switching themes that my SPAM comments are reaching about 100 per day, where before I had very few... is there a way to add a captcha or something to the comment form? I tried added a module, but that put the captcha field below the submit field, which is confusing and causes the error issue mentioned in 2.

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Hey,

Assuming this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/related-posts-by-category-widget/ is the plugin you're using, I'll have a play with it on my test site and see if it's a quick fix.

Bear in mind we can't officially support 3rd party plugins but I'll see what I can do.

Hi, I've really enjoyed playing with your theme for my blog and am very happy with how well it works. I do have one issue, that I'm trying to resolve. I really want to display a list of posts from the current category in the sidebar, and have been having trouble getting one that works with Habitat. The closest one I've found is Related Posts by Category Widget. But when I install it, it works on Individual Post pages, but on the homepage and archive pages it breaks the layout, so that the sidebar displays below the content. Ugh.

I did a compare in the code, which turned up an extra
tag when I use this plugin. I can't find any div tags in the plugin page, so I'm hoping I can tweak something to make this work.

This is without the plugin on an archive page:

Recent Posts

This is with the plugin: (note the
after the sidebar_bottom span)

Recent Posts

My blog is at http://rufftoyreviews.com Currently, I have this widget turned off because it makes such a mess of the homepage, but I can put it back in at the bottom of the widget list if that is what is needed.

Thanks,
Janet
