Hi there - I activated the Jetpack Comments plugin, but see some spacing issues on the blog comments.

Are you able to tell me how to resolve them through the CSS?

Hey jeanstorms,

I'm sure it is possible but not with anything we could guide you through. I believe the lightbox plugin used in the theme (prettyPhoto) supports iframes but it would be a matter of modifying the plugin used to run through prettyPhoto instead of whatever it is using now.

A freelance web developer should be able to assist in getting that taken care of for you but I'm unsure of the time needed since it may or may not be overly complicated.

Thank you - that makes sense. That leads to one more question - if someone knows the answer. I would really like these forms to open in a light box, and stay in a lightbox for the thank you page. Is there a way to do that?

Hi,

I looked in explorer 9 and I see nothing like what your browser displayed. http://i.imgur.com/dJv35.jpg Chances are your browser needs to be rein stalled or you've made customizations within your IE9 display that overrides the css.

The only thing I would suggest is to add this to your CSS to get rid off the cross bars in titles

.beta-font-b .title, .beta-font-b .title p {
line-height: 28px;
}

Thanks,

Hi jeanstorms,

The theme doesn't have a way to control only that sidebar. You can probably find a plugin that will give you control over something like that or you could edit the file directly in the theme files.

Even something like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic-visual/ might work if you add the widgets you want into the display everywhere sidebar then limit them to only show on the 404 page.

Regards,

Can you link to the page that is showing the issue? It will be much easier to inspect it in browser and compare with IE live. I'm guessing the default theme style is still loading in with priority by your description so it could be a pretty simple fix in that case.

Thanks - that helped some. I wanted to customize the left hand navigation menu - right now it displays all of the page links, the post categories and archives. How do I manage this area? I did not see a way to add a widget and when I add something to the default page widget it also shows up on all of the other pages.

How do I assign a menu to the error page.

Thanks for pointing me to the right file to edit. I must have missed that when I was searching. I only saw the template file.

Hi jeanstorms,

You can edit the content of the 404 page here:
wp-content\themes\propulsion\includes\error404.php

The sidebar of the 404 depends on what is set on Propulsion > Theme Options > Layout & Settings > Default Page Layout.

Hope this helps. :)

Can you review my Quick CSS code to see if I have something out of order or if there is a better way to add it? I did some testing with Adobe Browser Labs and the problem did not show up there. However, if I'm seeing it, then it is likely someone else will too.

I prefer to have Helvetica be the first option, then Arial as an alternative. I think that's what I've set up here. But I know with CSS there can be some rules to the order things need to be listed. Maybe I have something out of order (?) because the font is showing up bold and all caps too...

Here is the current code - is there a better way to write it?

.page-id-100 .title_container.extralight-border {

Hi,

You can use this.

.page-id-67 h1.post-title.offset-by-three {
font-size: 15px;
}

Notice the .page-id-67? That is the body class for that particular page, in your case the blog page. You can inspect each page and notice that body class will change.

OK - So I was able to reduce the font size, but I'd also like to make the line height tighter. It is a little too spaced out. I tried adding line-height to the CSS but it did not seem to change anything.

Thanks!

I actually started a new thread for this question:

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/category-links-in-single-portfolio-view

Since it is a separate, but related issue to the original.

No, I don't think that's what I need. I do not want to change the next / previous links. I want to change the category links below the meta data in the left column. For example, the post I referenced has links to "manuals" and "spotlights & specials" because I've categorized them as these types of portfolio entries.

http://landlordsource.com/product/policy-procedures-property-management/

However, I don't like the formatting of these archive pages at all. Instead I'd like it to just go back to the previous page, whatever that page was.

Is that your understanding of what i asked?

Hi,

If I understand you corectly you want the <- link to be static and always return to the previous page in the browser history.

Please make a backup and then open up single.php at the base of the theme and on line 49 (around there) , please find a block that looks like this :

<?php previous_post_link('<span class="previous_post_link">&larr; %link </span><span class="post_link_text">'.__('(previous entry)')."</span>"); ?>

and replace it with the block below

<span class="previous_post_link">&larr; <a href="javascript:history.back();">Return to Previous Page</a></span>

Thanks,

You can try to change the default font family to "Arial". Add following code to css/custom.css:

body {
	font: 13px/1.65em Arial, "HelveticaNeue", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif;
}

.flex_column h1, .flex_column h2, .flex_column h3, .flex_column h4, .flex_column h5, .flex_column h6{
	font: 13px/1.3em Arial, "HelveticaNeue", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif;

The fonts are either in the theme's original CSS or in the Custom CSS area in the propulsion theme's styling tools in the wp-admin. I am not using a plugin - just the theme tools you provide.

Hi jeanstorms,

Is the font loaded in with a plugin? IE is picky in what works with it and what does not so it depends on how the font is being added and if that version IE has support for it.

Regards,

This worked - Thanks for the correction. Any ideas about removing or changing the links that show up on the left under the meta data? Right now it defaults to category links that go to archive pages. I don't want those. I'm hoping I can add a static link to all pages that goes back to whatever page they visited just before landing on this one. Is this possible?
