Hi gzezchrist,

You'll add it to the bottom of the skin css of the one you are using. So if you are using the default skin it will be in your css folder>style1.css.

You can also try adding it to your main style.css at the very bottom but it may need to have an additional !important property like:

.home .entry .date_container{
display: none !important;
}

Hello,

By date, you mean the little box outside the main content? Open your css folder and look for the theme that you're currently using, then put this code at the very bottom of it

.home .entry .date_container{
display: none;
}

Regards,
Ismael

Sorry for the delay... I tried this plugin and it doesn't seem to work for posts, only pages. I don't generally need an exclude, just for this one page. Is there some code I could insert?

Solved the link thing by delving into the forums and using custom fields.

Still have the problem that the sticky page is visible in all my menus and widgets. Ideas?

Hi Dude,

This was a great workaround and made Aviaslider do exactly what I wanted it to do... except for one thing:

I need to link the featured pictures to different posts so that they point to "featured posts" that I'd like to highlight and not just the hidden sticky post.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hey,
I think you can use the sticky conditional tag to solve this problem...
Open up index.php and replace:

<div class="entry <?php echo "entry".$counter; ?> ">
<?php if($medium_prev_image != "") echo $medium_prev_image; ?>

 <div class="date_container">
 <span class='day'><?php the_time('d') ?></span>
 <span class='month'><?php the_time('M') ?></span>

i just realized that for my original plan to work i would somehow need to make the pictures link to different posts, not the one hidden sticky post.

i just purchased the AviaSlide slider separately but im not sure how to incorporate it into the wordpress theme. i was thinking i could nix the sticky post and just put the slider at the top of my page.

is this possible or did i just waste $14?

ok, so i would like to have a slider at the top of my page that shows about 5 to 7 different images and the images would link to different posts when clicked. I can get the images to show up and have them set so when clicked they go to the different posts i need simply by making a post 'sticky' and having the featured images all link to the pages i need. this solution works perfectly because i can simply edit one post and it changes my main slideshow at the top of my page.

The problem is, the container for the post still sits underneath the slider showing she date, tweets, re-tweet, comments, and categories the blank post i made with only feature images is in. i made the post blank by simply putting < br > in the html editor and not having a title. I know this might seem like kind of a stretch but if i could simply hide the post part of this one post and only display the images it would work great for what i am trying to do. So, is there a way to hide this one posts information and leave the others?

a possible work around would be to isolate the slider, place it just under my menu at the top, and then have it feed off of images placed in a directory. Im not sure how i would make the links in that instance though.

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
