Hi,

I believe he meant to copy the output from fontsquirrel.com, and add the appropriate css code given by them to your custom.css file. The website will give you instructions. Just add the css class of the new font given to you by font squirrel to the html elements that you want to use the font on.

Thanks,

when you mention style code to css/custom.css are you referring to the following code
(of course change the word cufon to the new font face i would like to use)

array(
'elements'	=> '.cufon_headings',
'key'	=>	'cufon',
'value' => avia_get_option('avia, font_heading')
),

also I have to disable cufon fonts before doing anything?

You can use a font face kit from fontsquirrel: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface - afterwards add the style code to css/custom.css, upload the fonts into the css folder and apply the new (font-face) font family to any elements of your choice (eg h1,h2, etc. headlines).

Hi!

Afaik Cufon font headlines do not support text selections. You'd need to use font-face fonts instead.

Best regards,

Hi LateForWork,

While I appreciate you bumping your topic to get it looked at, the above is a bit excessive.

I've just taken a look at http://lateforworkllc.com/newsupdates/ and it appears the warning is no longer showing up. Please check the field in your theme options for Google analytics and make sure you have not put in the .home class styling there. It needs to be in Quick CSS or custom.css.

Hi LateforWork,

I'm not sure what you mean with the porftolio image issue. Can you give me an example/screenshot. There are a lot of plugins running in conjunction on the site linked so I'm not quite sure what is supposed to work/look and what is responsible for it (ie, it could be a plugin or the theme or something custom you have already done).

Yes, you can customize the layout of the search results. You'll need to modify the php file called loop-search.php located within the includes folder. You can also use something like Firebug to inspect the individual elements on the search page and then add/change those attributes through the custom.css file.

As far as I know, you can't easily train your search to display categories based on the search terms. What you can do, is create a menu link to display any category you have created for your portfolio items. You can do this in Appearance>Menus.

Chris Beard,

Can i Just point out that my 'nightmare' is a long way from being over. I still have a number of questions that have been left unanswered for 2 weeks if you check the forum! Yes, I received a response to one or two of my recent posts but please dont consider this settled as its not.

You will appreciate our concerns and frustrations as the support here is usually spot on.

When Kriesi was dealing with the support requests for the Display theme I used a few years ago it was brilliant. Always speedy, amazingly friendly and professional and none of the attitude that seems to be getting banded around now.

I'm not trying to be difficult here, I just find it rich when I see a comment like yours posted recently and I still have numerous questions left without so much as an acknowledgement.

I hope you find the time to look over them soon.

Thanks,

i added the link this is one of the emails i sent below.....
at this time i ended yup getting a different theme because i was not getting any help.
I was even asking about a refund because i have waited at least 2 weeks or a response to 1 of my questions and of course still no response.

email previously sent to kriesi
Honest since the the codes i have been using from your support forum haven't been working I am not happy with the theme 100%. Maybe the theme for what i need is not this one; but since o bought it i have to make it work somehow. I have a clothing company and need it to work well as an e-commerce site as well.

the 2 comments i can think of know are:

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-images-and-search-result-layout

and

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/2-things-blog-page-and-featured-images

Please help. I have other questions but i need my 1st questions to be answered and see if they work to se if it's even worth using the theme. I hope it is!

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

you can always respond to your unanswered topic again if it's not responded to within 2 to 3 days to make sure it's not lost.
As you can see, we're 3 support members, a third one was hired recently because of a spike in support requests. We try our best to respond as soon as possible, mostly within 24 hours.
Might I add that brobins was helped right after he posted this and his "nightmare" is over. I'll check your topics now.

Often we get support emails from members without a link to the support topic and therefore it's lost. Could you point me to the topic you've requested email support in? I've just checked your topics and replies and I couldn't retrieve a conversation about email support. Can you also tell me where you mailed to and what the email contained?

I'll check your other topics right now.

Best regards,
Chris

Hey,
tomkellersohn please update your theme to Brightbox 1.2.x (you're using version 1.1). Since 1.2 Brightbox will set the first slideshow/featured media image as post thumbnail and if you use a facebook open graph plugin you can use this post thumbnail for facebook.

Yes! I am having an absolute nightmare myself.

The theme I purchased is Angular and I have a whole heap of questions that have been left unanswered for anything up to 2 weeks, it is getting ridiculous!

One VERY unhappy customer here :-(
