Hi Minosnet,

Lets try targeting your widget directly and then forcing the bullets to show:

#text-3 {overflow:visible !important;}

Add that to your css.

Regards,

Hi Minosnet,

In the HTML you put into the text widget, do you start it with "ul" or just do "li" for each item?

Regards,

I hadn't checked this for a long time.I followed Lance's advice removing the ul tag but nothing happened.Site is online now and you can check it: http://www.minosnet.gr
The sidebar is not on the main page but on the other you can see how it looks.
I want to find a solution for this.I have updated to the latest version of propulsion theme and it didnt fixed this.
Any suggestions?

edit: It seems that opera and chrome shows the bullets but firefox and ie dont.
edit2: I am using propulsion theme.

I think you're using the standard image slider - not the content slider shortcode. You can adjust the autorotation time on the post/page editor page. Scroll to the featured media option field and adjust the autorotation time there ("Slidehsow autorotation duration" and "Autorotation active?").

OK, I just found that removing the

<ul>
tag causes the bullets to appear (in FF and Chrome) but does not apply the styles from the main CSS or the custom CSS. Font formatting tags also have no effect.

Its not working for me either, but the new code doesn't look any different than what was there previously. The sidebar does not seem to recognize the unordered list at all, it just displays it as body text. No bullets, no styling. It picks up other HTML elements like headers, but not the UL. I don't understand why it would display some but not others.

Ok,i changed the code to custom css with the changed one you gave us but no luck.
This is what i saw at first: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/204/clipboard03xl.jpg/

I want the main menu to indicate the "section" the user is in when they are on a page that is a child to a top level menu page. For example, the top level page is About Us, and when I am on that page, the background of the menu is black, instead of the default gray. The first page under About Us is Mission Statement, but when the user goes to that page, the About Us menu item returns to the default color. Can I make the About Us menu remain black while I am on any child page? I already have the Mission Statement page assigned as a child of About Us, but this has no effect on the appearance of the main menu.

and you'll increase the autorotation delay from 1 second to 11.

I've looked through the thread that you posted and a couple others that seemed related, and for those experiencing this issues it seems we all have different thresholds where the problem manifests itself. Some say 15 menu items, others much higher.

My hosting provider (Dreamhost) tells me I need to create a custom php.ini file and make the changes myself. That's out of my scope of expertise and comfort level but I guess I'll try it if that's the only option. I don't really even know what that file is or what it does so it makes me nervous to screw around with it.

<fingers crossed>

OK, I tried that and it worked for the big slideshow at the top of the page, but not for a smaller show that I inserted into the body with a shortcode. Is there a separate setting for those? Here's the page:
http://clcschool.org/wp

As you can see, the Upcoming Events slideshow goes so fast you can't read it, and I want to slow it down. I'd prefer to control that independently from the main slideshow at the top if possible.

I currently have the settings as:
transitionDuration: 800, //how fast should images crossfade
autorotation: true, //autorotation true or false?
autorotationInterval: 8000, //interval between transition if autorotation is active

Thanks.

Hey,
to be honest the 503 error doesn't tell me much because it's too general without error logs but I think this thread may help you: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/limit-on-number-of-added-items-on-menu-manager-a-major-menu-manager-bug#post-15153

Hey,
in js/avia.js search for following code and adjust the transitionDuration value (i.e. decrease it to 600):

transitionDuration: 800, //how fast should images crossfade
 autorotation: false,
