Hi maj,

1) You should be able to just change the title of the page that you have designated to hold the blog page. So in the Theme Options you selected a blog page using the dropdown in the main options. That page's title is the one that will display on the blog pages.

2) That heading should be the same for pretty much everywhere. Can you link to different pages that are showing it differently?

If its inside a template I could see it being different, but in that case it should be since content structure is different.

Regards,

hi, couple of things you can help me with please:

1. how do I change the H1 title 'Blog - latest news' that is currently showing at the top of my defined blog page? I have created a new page (not called 'Blog') that will act as my news and posts page. However when I customise the theme and set my new posts page, it adds this title to the page. How can I change this title to 'News and posts' or whatever I decide I want it to be?

2. That same heading seems to be different sizes across my site, how do I ensure these are all the same size. It appears that the 'Callout style' is a different size to the 'H1' heading. Do I have to add a template through template builder for all my pages?
(I did start the site by importing the 'dummy data', is this what is causing the issue)

thanks again for your help

Hi Maj,

I believe you just need to create a file named 503.php just like there is the 404.php file in the theme files.

Hi having successfully used Angular for my last project, I am now using your lovely Eunoia theme for my latest project. Whilst I am working on the site, I have used a plugin 'Maintenance Mode' which throws up a Maintenance Mode screen for the website, telling users that the site is under Maintenance and will be online in XX days etc. The default page it shows is pretty ugly / standard. The plugin says I can use the .503.php page from the theme for styling the maintenance page.

Does such a page exist in the Eunoia theme? If not is this something I can prepare and add easily, without ruining the rest of the theme?
Please note I am a designer with basic coding skills, not a developer.

Many thanks for any help you might be able to give,

Hi Maj,

When they are already in your media library you just need to get them attached to the post/page. So go to the add images pop up and just add in those images you want from the media library. Then you should see the gallery tab appear in that popup the next time you go to enter in an image. Now you can remove all the images you added in from the visual editor and instead just put in the gallery.

To add more images you just add them into the visual editor and then remove them. Once they have been attached to a post/page they will be auto included in the gallery.

The reason NextGen is so popular is because the built in media editor is pretty wonky at this point. Its getting a major overhaul in Wordpress 3.5 but that wont be out for another few weeks I think.

Hi Devin
thanks for the info. I had a look at the video, and it explains the basics, as well as a couple of limitations. What none of the tutorials seem to say is how to import all the images into a gallery if they are already in the Media Library (as was the case for me), all the tutorials show multiple import from the desktop (which is simple).

The tutorial also shows the limitation, that once created it is difficult if not impossible, to add a couple of extra images. So back to square one - how to do a multiple import of images already in your Media Library?

Thanks for all your help. If you have any more 'light ' you can shed on this would be great, otherwise lets close the post as 'resolved'
thanks

Hi Maj,

I did a quick google and this youtube video looks like it goes over the process pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgJAsv3Tv8Q

Its a bit old but the basics are still the same so it should definitely help and make the process faster than adding in all the images one by one.

Hi Devin
thanks for your reply. Yes I added them one by one. I could not figure out how to use the Wordpress default gallery. I tried the NextGen gallery but the client did not like the general feel of it. So I tried to revert back to the WP gallery, which I guessed was built in to Wordpress.

I thought it odd that I had to add these multiple images one by one by one...
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Maj,

How did you insert your gallery of images? It doesn't seem to have the wordpress gallery class or anything on them and it looks like the images are just added in one after another.

When looking at that page int he visual editor, it should just show a large light blue box with an image icon on it and not show any of the images.

Hi Dude
my little site is now live, I have got the gallery up and running - but still cannot work out how to get it like the demo page on the demo site.. with the small padding / margin between each thumbnail and each line of gallery images. Any chance you can have a look at the problem for me? The page is http://www.markberrymandesign.com/gallery/

Hi Dude, Ismael
sorry to re-open this post but I have encountered a problem I did not see. Angular is a responsive site, works brilliantly on any device, but the map is not accounting for this. I added the map to the page and it works fine, however it does not resize when used on the ipad, iphone, and other tablets. For instance the right hand sidebar ends up over the top of the map when the client views the page on his ipad (portrait).

Is there some code I can use to make the map resize? Maybe by adding some custom CSS?
many thanks

Hi , okay so I kind of got it working by adding a shortcode several times over and over again!
[gallery columns="7" size="thumbnails" order="desc" order by="ID"]
There must be a quicker way to do this, I have several images to add, and adding them one by one seems very slow.
Also my gallery, has no border between the thumbnail (columns) and has a large border between the rows.
Can anyone help please.

Angular does not import google maps out of the box but you can use plugins like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/comprehensive-google-map-plugin/ - it allows you to insert google maps into your content (by using a shortcode).

Hi
I am new to WordPress and templates so please bare with me. I am setting up a small Portfolio site for my client using the Angular theme. They are very keen very keen that we include a large google map of their location on the Contact page. I am currently using the standard contact page as supplied in the template (with right sidebar).
How do I go about adding Google Map into the top of the page (not the sidebar).
Is there a widget I need to get? Do I need some special code?

Would be great if you could help me out please. I see you use the Google Maps in the Coherence theme.
Many thanks
Maj
