<--not official support answer-->
upload cart icon to /themes/replete/images/icons/cart.png if you wish to use following, you may also use the delivered icon_cart.png in replete/config-woocommerce/images/icon-cart.png anyway then the address must be different in .cart_dropdown

replace following div styles in /config-woocommerce/woocommerce-mod.css

.cart_dropdown{
position: absolute;
top:-9px;
right:-15px;
line-height: 38px;
z-index: 111;
background: url(../images/icons/cart.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}

.cart_dropdown_first .cart_dropdown_link{
display: block;
float: left;
padding: 0 5px 0 0;
color:#999;
text-decoration: none;
margin-left:20px;

Hello I've just bought the Replete theme. Haven't started customizing yet but I've got a couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to place a small cart image on the right of the menu where it says "Cart - $0" ?
2. I want to upload it on a different domain than the domain of my shop at the beginning so that my partner will be able to see it as I am building it. Then when I finish with it I will upload it to my shop's domain. Is that possible or should I begin and place it and the final domain?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

We may not support those plugins but we know them quite well since a good number of people use either one or the other and sometimes both of those plugins. I am trying to think but I can't say I have encountered any complaints specifically about WPML / Woo-commerce bogging any sites down. I believe there are a number of settings in the back-end of WPML that explicitly say that they will slow the site down , especially the text strings discovery and the ID matching. Why? You are all bogged down with the site slower than molasses on north pole?

Thanks,

Out of curiosity, I know the woocommerce and WPML plugins are not supported in this forum because they are purchased add-ons, but I was wondering if you've had a lot of posts/members post about issues with woocommerce product import suite and the string translation plugin for WPML bogging the site down?

I had to deactivate the WPML string translator. It was causing my admin functions to be inaccessible and similar to a timeout issue but instead of timing out the page would go blank.
I used the developer console to see if I could narrow down what was happening and once I deactivated the string translator everything went back to properly functioning.
I'm looking into this on the WPML forums as it is not an issue with the theme. Just wanted to share this while I find a fix in case anyone else has experienced a similar issue.
I'll repost when I find the solution

i dont think so princess, the only missing is display: none !important; for footer and products
which could be done in quick css, something like table.table_shop .footer {display: none !important}
for the "You are here" feature shown on the product page i hope i can use something similar to ABAP
shift variable (15) which would show only the first 15 characters
the only missing now is to echo the price in selected language while using WPML

Hello,
actually i want to replace the whole div that do the echo of the shop content and replace it by a plug in.
That plug in could be called by echo $acn->show(some attribute); is fully responsible and actually should keep the 960 layout.
i tried to run this before the shop loop and it was running in full width (not 960) above the whole content. so the echo works, must be placed into right place. You may see it here:
http://test.bigamy.cz/?post_type=product

that acn div width will be handled by its own css
and the goal of all this is to be able to use the bc-container-wrap navigation as also the cart widget "cart_dropdown" with the woocommerce

Hi,

You want to remove the nine alpha unites div with a short code from a plugin?

This image http://support.bigamy.cz/ , has two parts. the top part is how you want your store page to look? or you want the store page to look like the bottom image with the blond girl?

So you want the sidebar to be removed?

First of all the nine alpha units div is what makes the theme responsive, so if you remove it, be aware of that.

Please show me a page with code or provide how you want page to look .

If you want no sidebar, this code will remove it, and expand to 100% so just add it to your /css/custom.css or to quick css located in replete > theme options > styling at the bottom of the page:

@media only screen and (min-width: 1140px){
#top .responsive .container .nine.units {
width: 100% !important;
}
#top .responsive .container .three.units {
display: none !important;
}}
@media only screen and (max-width: 989px) and (min-width: 768px){
#top .responsive .container .nine.units {
width: 100% !important;
}
#top .responsive .container .three.units {
display: none !important;
}}
#top .container .nine.units {
width: 100%;
}
#top .container .three.units {
display:none;
}
#top body .unit.alpha, #top body .units.alpha {
width: 100%;
}

Thanks,

Hello Support,
i would like to change the shop overview page.
I made some testcases but none of them is doing what i want.
when you go to the shop page then there is the div class template-shop content nine alpha units
i would like to remove this div with some shortcode from a plug in.
please see attached, what i mean: http://support.bigamy.cz/
in the twenty twelve it works, anyway it does not in replete.

I was about to change the config.php in config-woocommerce where is the echo for display products anyway it seems not to work correctly.
could you please give me some hand?

Is there a way to duplicate all my pages without having to manually re-create them, then just create and assign "Frontpage-IT, Frontpage-SP, Frontpage-ETC...ETC..."
Seems quite tedious especially having purchased WPML to do the translations
Perhaps I'm missing something but if the Theme is "WPML Ready and Internationalized"

"Translation ready + WPML plugin ready: WPML Plugin, in case your business needs a multi language site"
My take from this was that it would be more streamlined and more of an automated click to translate theme.

Again, I am just diving into the WPML aspect so I could be over thinking the process, which I hope is the case :/

1) Each language has its own set of theme options and template builder templates. So when you switch to say Spanish you would have to re-create the Frontpage template for the spanish language.

2) The products will not need to be re-made.

Can you clarify this just a tad for me?
I'm just pulling my head out of graphic hell...I tend to do things the hard way before I finally discover the easy solution to things so for this particular topic I'm going to try and save myself from going bonkers and just ask you some questions that I hope make sense :)

1) You used the phrase "each template will need to be re-made for each language"
That is frightening to me considering the number of different languages I'll be using in addition to the fact that I have over 13000 products most of which should have corresponding images in my imported catalog file.
When you say "Re-made" what exactly does that entail?

2) The Woocommerce shop pages, catalog and products - will I need to "re-make" all of the woocommerce pages, catalog, products, images, tags, categories etc..?

I may be getting ahead of myself here so for the moment I'll stop and see what your reply is to the 2 questions above before adding other questions that may be (hopefully are) addressed in your response

Thx :)

Hi pcprincess77,

There isn't currently a way or planned to be one to copy the templates from your english version to other languages. Each template will need to be re-made for each language.

Regards,

This is something I was going to post an inquiry about but found this thread....

Can you give me a brief explanation on the proper way to "create/copy" my English version of the template for each language?
I'm going to be using quite a few languages and I'm suddenly extremely nervous about how to do this and have it work for each language :/

:/ nervous

The sizes are set in the functions.php, so the image could still be getting cropped based on those settings (which you can change with that plugin.

Hope that helps and when you get started adding images in we can help with a live example if it comes to that.

Hi Devin,
yup. that should be no problem, anyway, when we imagine i want to upload 960 x 960 image the high is still cut anyway. I will look into that class and will let you know once i am lost again.
Thanks anyway.

Hi mAqq,

The resizing function is actually done server side by the options in the functions.php file. The image size is then adjusted with css to fully fill out the container its inside.

So if you are uploading images that are 400x600 (just as an example), the big slideshow area will still stretch those images to fit the 960px width of that slideshow.

You would want to use another option for showing those kinds of images if you know they will be uploaded from a device that will cause them to not really fit in that presentation.

If you want to adjust the automatically generated thumbnails, you can do it easily with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

Regards,

hello guys,
i have one more question. The current used resizing of the images for the slide show in 960 way does not fit my needs. I was looking for something that would look like the script that is calculating the proportions, anyway could not find any. except for the twitter iframe.
the basic issue is that i would like to upload the images from my camera without big size manipulation directly to the web and as most of the images will be 4:3 and too many things will be cut with current settings.
Can you please give me a hint where to set up the processing?
Thanks in advance
mAqq
