When viewing the template for the one page portfolio, you can use the dropdown above the area to select a column element and then hit the button next to the selection. It will be added to the bottom of the whole thing and then be dragged to wherever you want it to appear.

You can add a column element to the bottom of that page section and then add the widget into one of the columns inside that element (once you've made one of the columns a widget accepting area)

Yes, in that case it isn't possible to do so in the way you are describing. You can make a page area encompass a column element with a widget area and the about page content but you can't just add a widget to a page.

Hi Devin

Yes, I am using a one page portfolio, but I wanted to add the widget to the bottom of a post. Not to add a new column. I understood that was what it did.
In my case I am using the Facebook plugin and that gives you the option of adding their widgets. I wanted to add a certain Facebook widget to the About me page in the OnePage portfolio.

Here is my website ... http://petdocmartin.co.uk/

Hi mcdragon,

Is this with the one page portfolio layout? If so, it doesn't support adding additional columns/widget areas to pages within the one page layout. You'll need to add all content to through the One Page Portfolio builder in the theme options.

So adding a Columns element and making part of it page/post content and the other widget area would work.

Regards,

Hi

I wanted to add some specific content on one of my pages through a widget. Added the option on the Coalition Theme Options to show a widget area on one of the pages. Saved. This area then appeared on the Appearance - Widgets page. I added a widget but nothing happens on the page where it should. Tried a different page and tried different widgets I have available.

Am I missing something?

Hi Martin,

To upgrade the theme, you'll need to go to ThemeForest and login to your account. Once you download check the version log to see what files were updated and upload those to your theme directory.

You can check your version number by going to stylesheet under Appearance > Themes or the version log that came with your zip file. The current version of Coalition is 1.4.

Regards,

Duh

Haven't worked with css for a while. Instead of changing
blockquote cite

I was changing blockquote a cite
It would have only worked if there was a link within the cite tag.

Solved. Works now.

P.S: Typical Murphy law. Tried fixing it for an hour, then solved it 5 minutes after posting the question here.

Hi

I am trying to implement some changes to the title and the subtitle. I was able to implement the font change on the title but the subtitle has <cite></cite> tags around it and the design for those is implemented in shortcodes.css

However I cannot get the design to recognize a larger font. I have tried in two different ways to implement it but gets ignored. It works fine if I change the shortcodes.css file but I need it to work in custom.css.

This is what my custom.css is like

blockquote a small, blockquote a cite {
color: #AAAAAA;
font-size: 40px;
}

cite {
font-family: 'Ubuntu Condensed',"Times New Roman";
font-style: italic;
font-weight: normal;
letter-spacing: 0;
line-height: 1.5em;
font-size: 40px;
}

blockquote {
color: #555555;
font-family: 'Ubuntu Condensed',sans-serif;
font-size: 1.8em;
font-weight:bold;
font-style: normal;
line-height: 1.4em;
}

With best regards,

There was an issue that the template expecting another image that somehow was missing. Once I added the image it worked ok. Possibly this happened when I re-installed the template and re-populated the data. Now it works ok.
Now I have noticed the contact form does not work.
I know others have had issues with that and I will see if their solutions might help me

The menu isn't fixed because the sidebar height exceeds the browser viewport. You need to remove some widgets to decrease the sidebar height and it will be displayed fixed (otherwise the user can't see the whole sidebar content if the sidebar height exceeds the browser viewport). That's not an unstable theme code or something similiar but an intended behaiour. You can fix the sidebar manually with following code in css/custom.css:

.sidebar {position: fixed !important;}

but this will break the sidebar for users with small screens. As far as I know Envato doesn't issue any refunds but you can try to contact their support.

Hi

Just purchased and installed the theme over the weekend. I started adding some images and changed the text but strange things started to happen. First the menu does not stay put even though I use a large screen. The top image (that are sourced from Welcome) load suspiciously slow, compared to the demo site - and my provider is very good and local to me. I don't have problems with images loading slowly. And also while the image loads I get a the text that appears below the image with the shortcodes visible. I don't want the text there and don't know why it appears there.

Can you please help.
