Please keep in mind that using the b tag is not recommended, the w3c suggests using the strong tag instead:&#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;I was not getting any bold text when the b-tag was used in the HTML.&#60;br /&#62;
It appears that base.css resets all default styles (also for b-tag) to &#34;inherit&#34; and&#60;br /&#62;
then makes new definitions. It does so for em-tag and strong-tag, but not for b-tag.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Is there a reason for this? Or is it an error/mistake?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Note: I changed base.css to make b-tag and strong-tag the same css rule, there appears to be no problem&#60;br /&#62;
somewhere else, but of course it may pop up sooner or later: therefore the question above.&#60;/p&#62;
