@Norma
@Dude

think I found the bug that "by" is not translated.

in the file "format-standard.php" on line 83
replace the code

echo '<span class="blog-author minor-meta"> '.__('by','avia_framework');

with this code

echo '<span class="blog-author minor-meta"> '.__('by ','avia_framework');

the space after "by" was missing. It is in all other format-*.php files (gallery, link, quote)

Please put that in the next version so we do not have to fix it again. Cheers

Hey

My customer needs the online store by russian language. So, I have already offered him the Propulsion theme (which I haven't been using yet after purchasing, because I didn't find the hungarian translation of Woocommerce pluging, unlike of the Jigoshop - so, I have obliged to use the other wp-theme with jigoshop support for my previous project, instead of Propulsion theme). There are a few issues I need change for him in Propulsion theme (all of them concern of product' and woocommerce categories/tags pages), and I hope it will be possible to do this with so great support team here :).

So, I'm going to translate the theme to russian and, in case of success, I'm going to share the result in this topic.

Hi Nomar,

Unfortonetly a good bit of that is beyond what we can help with via support. Getting the banner to work with the responsive design could be as simple as adding a 100% width to its container or require individual changes for media queries at each device size.

The categories sections aren't capable of having a slideshow attached to them. The slideshow has to be populated by a page or post, so the best you could do would be to have a template from the Template builder that shows a single category of blog posts and a slideshow element above that.

This goes for question 3 as well, you can insert a slideshow within content through a template builder template but not just inside the visual editor via a shortcode or anything.

4) Not that I know of no. It may be able to be changed for all slideshow slides where the option for the link has been set to manual, but it would apply sitewide since its all the same class.

Regards,

That worked.  Thanks.    ;o)

However, I just noticed that for some reason, these banners are not going along with the "responsive" feature of the theme...
Questions:

1. Which code should I use to add the default (Adaptavia) Slider instead of this banner in categories (and should I paste it in the same place/file)?

2. Is there a code I should add to force the banner to behave with the "responsive" feature of the theme (if so, how)?

3. Is there a way to display the default (Adaptavia) Slider at a given point within the content instead of at the top of a page (i.e. at the middle or at the buttom), and if so, how?

4. I know we can link images in the Slider to a page, but is there a way to add url links to an external website in a - target="_blank" - window (if so, how)?

Thanks,

Hi Nomar,

You would place the php code into the archive.php file. Probably just after:

<div class='container template-blog '>

or the next line after that depending on where you want it to show.

For the header, you would add that php code into the header.php just after the logo gets called. However, it would have to be modified with some css since you would be putting it inside that whole containers layout. Additionally, if you put it inside other php, you need to remove the opening and closing php from that function ( the <?php and ?> ).

Regards,

Hi guys,

Is it possible to ad an "ad banner" in one/several category(ies)?

I don't want to add it as a post, but to remain as the top of all the posts in a given category page. I use a short code to do this in pages, and it works fine, but I can't figure out how to do it in category(ies).

This is the plugin I'm using:
http://www.wpplugins.be/wp-pro-advertising-system/
It works fine in the side bar and in individual pages.

The short code to place ad zones in a single page is this:

[pro_ad_display_adzone id="X"]

_______________

They also provide a code for a fixed place in the site (I haven't used this one because it is not what I need, but I copy it here just in case):

<?php if( function_exists( 'pro_ad_display_adzone' ) ) echo pro_ad_display_adzone( 5 ); ?>

And the instructions to use the latter:

" Template tag:
If you want to use this ad zone on a fixed place inside your website, you can use this Template tag. Just copy the function into your website template, there where you want to show the banners."

_______________

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to ad an "ad banner" (ad zone) in the header, let's say above the menu?

Thanks.  Take care,

Thank you for your reply, but if this would be a solution, I would not ask you for a help. The thing is that I need same wordpress for six different languages. And I need 6 different buttons of SEND and so on. And I need English version of Wordpress to manage these six languages, since I dont know some of the languages that I will upload content.

You need to upload the po AND mo file (in your case lt_LT.po and lt_LT.mo) into the theme language folder (wp-content\themes\propulsion\lang\). Make sure that you're using the Lithuanian versioon of wordpress: http://mantas.malcius.lt/tag/wordpress/

Hello, I have a webpage, that is in Lithuanian language. I am using WordPress in English language. My page will have more languages later. To manage translations I am using WPML. I would like to translate some theme strings to specific languages. For example "Send" button text in contact form, and other strings.

I have created .po file lt-LT uploaded it in specific folder, but nothing changed.

Hi Nomar,

You can check it now. I noticed you haven't set anything on the homepage that's why the default index page is what appears and it can't be controlled in the template builder. Here are the steps I took:

1. Created a new page and named it Homepage
2. Under Layout set Overwrite default Post Layout and set this to Dynamic Template
3. Still Under Layout set Dynamic Template and set the value to Frontpage
4. Go to Propulsion > Theme Options and set this Homepage and save it

Regards,

Hi Ismael,

I want to open a category in the front-page; so I did what you indicated above, and it works well, except that it includes ALL the posts; not just the ones in that specific category, even when ONLY THAT category is selected in the Blog Element. Am I missing something? Thanks,

Hey,

I just found a way to "remove" the background; it may not be the correct one, but it worked.
I added:

background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);

and it hid it.     ;o)

Hi Devin,

Thanks for the suggestion, but nope, it didn't work either. :o(

I use the line separation ( ____________ ) to visually separate the pieces of code I add to the Quick CCS.
I tried using /*________________*/, and also taking it all out, but it made no difference whatsoever.

Well, I guess I'll try changing the name of the icons so they are not found. Maybe...

Thanks anyway.  Take care,

Nomar

For 2 and 3, that is the only css that I can see working.

Try removing the " ___ " you have separating your css. You shouldn't use anything like that in css files and it may be preventing the css from properly rendering.

If you want to add comments, use:
