Hi,

For #5, kindly go to: wp-content\themes\angular\includes\helper-templates.php and find this code:

$img = "<a href='".$set['link']."' title=''>$img";

Replace it with this:

$img = "<a href='".$set['link']."' title='' target='_blank'>$img";

For #4, I tried to use the target='_blank' but didn't worked out. I think opening the portfolio items on the same window is better since you won't be moving out of the site when you clicked on the portfolio item.

Regards,
Ismael

Thanks Ismael!

I still have a question about my question 4 and 5. It isn't clear to me in which documents I have to change the codes. The thread you refer to doesn't tell me how I can change the links in porftolio-items and at partner-logo's to links which open in a new window. Can you explain this a bit more specific please?

Tomorrow is my website online so I would really like to receive a quick response. Thanks!

Hi,

You can change your copyright text in footer.php(located inside the angular folder), find this line of code in footer.php:

© <?php _e('Copyright','avia_framework'); ?> - <a href='<?php echo home_url('/'); ?>'><?php echo get_bloginfo('name');?> - Wordpress Theme by Kriesi.at

Just change the Copyright text. Hope this helps. :)

1) Open up angular\framework\php\class-form-generator.php and search for following line:

$message = nl2br($this->form_paramas['autoresponder'])."

Your Message:

".

Replace "Your Message" with any other text.

2) Open up includes/loop-portfolio.php and replace:

if(isset($avia_config['new_query'])) { query_posts($avia_config['new_query']); }

with:

if(isset($avia_config['new_query'])) {
    $avia_config['new_query']['orderby'] = "date";
    $avia_config['new_query']['order'] = "DESC";
    query_posts($avia_config['new_query']);
}

3) Add following code to css/custom.css:

blockquote{ font-family: "HelveticaNeue", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; }

4) You can use the code I posted in this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/get-twitter-widget-links-to-target-to-blank (last post). It will open all external links in a new tab/window.

5) See 4)

6) Can you post a link to this page please - I need to investigate the css code.

7) Add following code to css/custom.css:

.boxed #socket .copyright {
    padding-left: 0px;
}

Hi,

Two months ago I asked some questions at the themeforest comment page, but I got no answer. Maybe in the future you can tell somebody that there is a forum for asking questions.

1) How can I change (translate) the word ‘Your Message:’ in the mail which is sended after sending a message in the contactform from the website?

2) How can I change the alphabetical order of the categories in the portfolio? Maybe it can be presented by date instead of alphabetical order?

3) How can I change the font of the quotes? I want to use the normal font (not the header font)

4) Links in portfolio-items refer to a website in the same window. How can I change these links open in a new window?

5) Links at the partner-logos also refer to a website in the same window. How can I change these links open in a new window?

6) How can I make less space below normal text (see the red arrow in this preview image: http://www.imagoconcept.nl/vb.jpg)

7) How can I replace the copyright text to the left (at the same level as the text above) (see other red arrow in this preview image: http://www.imagoconcept.nl/vb.jpg)

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Sara,

I took a look and unfortunately the solutions above are about it. The restrictions of the theme + the nature of resolutions means you would need to do some javascript/css trickery to determine the users screen size then resize the page elements to push the footer down. The css is the most straightforward but requires some restructuring of the containers and container styles.

If you're interested in that, there are some good tutorials out there for it but applying them to the theme will probably take a bit of finesse. I believe the jargon is "Sticky Footer" for the effect you're looking for to help in googling :)

Regards,

This is just odd.

I'm trying to update my footer's content and it just WON'T update on the home page, but on every other page.

I have my theme set so the home page is stretched and the other pages are boxed...but that shouldn't really affect anything?

Please help!

Well, it does work if I put it in layout.css, but it's tooooooo huge now. When I adjust to 250px, it fits. BUT when I resize my browser for mobile it's too small....

Hi Mya,

Unfortunately that didn't work...

Do you have another suggestion? Is it because my main page is set to stretched while the rest are boxed layout?

Thanks for the help!

Hi wildefranz,

For Angular, you would need to use this:

#footer .container {
    padding: 20px 0 50px;
    height:1000px;
}

Regards,

I'm also having the same problem with the Angular theme. And the above CSS doesn't work for me.

Here's a screen shot (as I'm testing locally): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15500134/footer.png
My background image is shown, and I need the footer to drop to float to the bottom of the page.

Please help and thanks!
Sara

Hi Sara,

If I understand all you really want is "Portfolio" to be highlighted in the main menu when on a single portfolio page. If I'm not mistaken this can be "faked" simply by adding some CSS to your custom.css or Quick CSS box under Angular > Theme Options > Styling.

The CSS you would want to add is:

body.single-portfolio .main_menu ul li#menu-item-407 a {
	border-bottom: 2px solid #f0b70c;
}

To explain what's going on here: I've set the menu item #407 to the active state on every page that has the body class "single-portfolio" which would be all your individual portfolio pages.

Now a couple of caveats to this:

1) #menu-item-407 is the ID of "Portfolio" in the demo's menu. The number you use will be different. To find out what yours is, you'll need to view your page's source code and find the link for the portfolio page. You'll be looking for something like this:

Portfolio

Once you found the number replace 407 in the code I provided above and you should be good to go.

2) The color code (#f0b70c) for the border will change depending on your website's skin. So you'll want to change that as well.

Let us know if you need help with finding your menu item ID.

Regards,
Mya

Sorry, but I really need to get this to work. It just seems sloppy if all other pages can be active and this can't be.

Do you guys do custom work then?

I also found this: http://www.gravitationalfx.com/how-to-set-a-page-as-the-parent-of-a-wordpress-custom-post-type/

If I can set the parent for the portfolio custom post type, then wouldn't it work?

Thanks,
Sara

Hi!

I don't think so. Maybe you could use some code parts as a starting point but this solution wouldn't integrate seamlessly into the avia framework.

Regards,
Peter
