Hi,

In directory /framework/php/ , please *make a backup* then open class-framework-widgets.php and locate on lines 728-731 the block of code that looks like

if ( !empty( $title ) ) { echo $before_title . $title . $after_title; };
 echo ''.$image_url.'';
 if($this->add_cont == 2) echo ''.$image_url2.'';
 echo $after_widget;

and replace it with

if ( !empty( $title ) ) { echo $before_title . $title . $after_title; };
 echo '
'.$image_url.'
';
 if($this->add_cont == 2) echo '
'.$image_url2.'
';
 echo $after_widget;

It's difficult to say how to style them, i just put them in
with classes advert_img1 and advert_img2. If you can show the live code somewhere I can see what should be done. But please remember the sizes are 125x125 pixels, so they would come out best if you crop them down to the correct dimensions prior to uploading them.

*if you run into a problem, please make sure there is a backup copy ready to revert back*

Thanks,

Hi Adwiz,

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

#top.single-product .sidebar.sidebar_left {
position: relative;
}

I'll try and see if I can re-create the issue as well since the sidebar position is getting its position from the dual sidebar class for some reason but the above should fix the issue for you :)

The Abundance Advertising area widget works great on most pages, but on the product detail page, when placed in the left side, it positions the ads side by side and extends wider than the column, pushing the second ad into the Product Description area.

Is there a way to force it to position the ads vertically?

Also, on a related note, how do I keep both boxes from showing if there is only one ad?

Hi,
Go to the media gallery and upload your image by using the standard wordpress media uploader. Then copy the image url and paste it into the Image URL field. This field supports external urls too (thus you can eg load the image directly from another - third party - server).

Hi G,

You definitely can. The page you are using for the blog and homepage has a panel called Layout Options on the right hand side of the page editor. The second option is "Do you want to display a sidebar?" and you will select the "Yes display right sidebar" option.

Now you can go to Widgets and add widgets to your Sidebar Blog to show whatever you would like. For some generic ads, you could use the Text widget and put in the html for images.

if you mean the advertising area at the very top you can insert any html code you like (advertising widgets don't support flash files). Just put the html/flash embed code of your flash object into the advert option field.

It seems to me that this is a way to complicated solution.

Especially seeing as I don't have the option to >>now instead of target="_blank" you can write rel="external" and the javascript will add target="_blank".<< as you state it. I am talking about the add widget where I can't set a target at all. If I could that would solve it.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying:-).

I would think it would be far easier to add the target="_blank" option to the advertising_widget.php. I am however not sure how to get it done. i tried several things but it didn't work.

I am using the Newscast Advertising widget that came with the theme. Now, when someone clicks the add, it opens in the same page. Is there any way to have it open in a blank page (target="_blank")? Having it open in the same page as my blog, is not a great way of keeping visitors on my blog:-).
