Hi Devin,

I tried putting alt text into the title of the individual image, and the alt text still does not appear on the front-end.

Hey Alex,

I don't know of any other method to get the H1 element into the slideshow other than how you have it but it should be ok from what I an tell.

For the images, try putting the alt text into the title on the individual image.

Hi Devin,

I did set the alt text in the media area, and that is why I think there might be some conflict somewhere because it is not appearing on the frontend.

Also, when I "inspect element" on Google Chrome, I see the slideshow headline as H1, but when I look at the source code it does not seem to be wrapped in <h1> </h1>. I also checked with a SEO crawling tool to look for H1s and it did not label it as H1. I found this to be weird.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi alexweintraub,

Looking at the page now the headline text appears to be set as H1.

For the alt text, you can go to your wordpress Media area and set the various alt/title text for each image there. You can also do this in the dialog box that appears when you first are uploading and setting images in the slideshow.

Regards,

Hi,

I would like to make my homepage slideshow title an H1 header. How can I do this?

Also, the slideshow images ALT text are not appearing. How can I make alt text for slideshow images work?

You can see the homepage slideshow here: http://www.stlouisunionroofing.com/wp/
And another instance of the slideshow on a page without alt text here: http://www.stlouisunionroofing.com/wp/st-louis-roofing/

Thanks!

Hi,

Add this on your custom.css to remove the underline.

.portfolio-title.title_container a {
text-decoration: none!important;
}

To change the hover effect you can add this, just change the values.

.big_button.avia-button.button:hover {
opacity: 1!important;
color: red;
background: blue;
}

Something Off topic, Not sure if I should start a new post.

I changed my Enonoia Theme options > Styling > Select a predefined color scheme

Which gave my project titles on the main page an underline. I'd like to get rid of that underline. I tried all the Theme options > Styling and I don't see anything about underline. You can see it on http://www.kpacdesign.com

Also, if for example I select a button hover color to Dark red, it's appears to be a faded red/pinkish.

Hey edioxa80,

Can you try doing the code change I posted here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-title-hyperlink?replies=4#post-83498

This will disable the title link so that when a user views an ajax portfolio item (where it appears as a single slide and the rest of the page gets hidden). Then on the individual portfolio item image options choose "open lightbox when clicked" instead of any of the other options for "Apply link to the image".

This should remove the possibility for a user to navigate to a specific portfolio item page.

Regards,

I have a problem with the Eunoia theme. I recently had a friend install a Eunoia theme to my portfolio site http://www.kpacdesign.com. When you click on one of the projects, for example "The Tillman Story" it takes you to a description of the project, but once you click on the image - it doesn't do an overlay zoom slideshow like it does on the Eunoia Theme demo page. It takes it to an extra detail page. Is there a way to fix this through an admin panel of the WordPress template? How do I go about fixing this?

I've illustrated it so you can understand better what I mean.

http://i.imgur.com/CI7wW.jpg

Thanks in advance!

Hey,
that's easy. Open up style.css and search for:

.feature_excerpt{
width:610px;
position: absolute;
display: block;
bottom: 0;
left:0;
z-index: 2;
padding:14px 15px;
font-size: 11.5px;
line-height:1.5em;
cursor: pointer;
background: #000;
color: #fff;
}

You can change the position by replacing i.e.

bottom: 0;
left:0;

with

top: 0;
left:0;

This will move the description to the top.

If you change the width attribute (decrease the value to i.e. 200px) and add an height attribute (i.e. 300px) you'll see that the description moves to the left side...

I was wondering how easy it would be to make the excerpts appear on the sides and top of the images (but mostly just the left) on different images. Does this make sense? Instead of having the black box appear from the bottom for all images, I'd like it to appear on the left for some of them. I'm hoping this is built in or easy to fix, as I'd like this feature. However, if it is a huge project to add it I might not want to go to the trouble. Any help would be great! Thanks!
