Hi,

It seems to be working fine on my end although when saved the editor becomes blank sometimes. This is what I have.

Hi!

Ok, I tested this now and it seems like the editor strips the apostrophe when you save the text. I'll mark this for Kriesi as a bug.

Best regards,

I use WooCommerce, and sent myself a test Order Note. I noticed something. Our company name is "Freedom's Flame Candle Co." In the From field of the email I received, it is displayed as:

"Freedom\'s Flame Candle Co."

The same sort of anomaly is seen at the bottom of the Order Note:

"Freedom\’s Flame Candle Co. – Keep the Light of Freedom Burning"

I contacted WooThemes about this and they replied:

"I believe your theme makes template modifications and is causing the issue."

Is this an issue with Replete?

Thanks in advance for the info!

Best,

Using an apostrophe in a Special Heading won't show the heading. Bug? Or do I need to do something in the code?

Thanks.

Hi!

Yes, unfortunately this is a wordpress limitation: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/apostrophes-not-being-escaped-in-lightbox-title-or-description

You can try to escape the quote with a backslash:

\'

or

\"

Best regards,

Hi all:

I've noticed while using Flashlight that if you type an apostrophe (which is rendered as a non-curly single prime mark directly from the keyboard) anywhere in the Description area for any image in a gallery, the description text will be truncated from that apostrophe onward in the popup slideshow box! The description text is not truncated in the regular gallery page display, however....

Any thoughts?
I'm guessing that the single-prime mark interferes with the PHP string that is passed for the Description field causing the rest of the text to be ignored?.....

I have tested it, and if you take the time to enter the Alt codes for ‘real’ curly quotes anytime you need an apostrophe, the problem is fixed. Double-quotes that are rendered as double-primes when typed directly from the keyboard do not cause the truncation...

You should probably enter the Alt codes for real typography anyway for quality's sake, but when working on large numbers of images, it's just very time-consuming.....
