Hi,

Edit loop-index.php on includes folder. Find this code

Thanks Ismael,

I already had the post created..with an excerpt already in place.

But it will continue to show the entire post.

Inserting the "More" link does create the link and stops the entire post from displaying to the insert point. But I would prefer to use the excerpt feature. Can you verify that it is working?

I was creating a post category of Press Release and created posts with that category checked.
I then created a page and assigned it as the "blog" in the theme settings.

It works as far as listing the posts that are assigned that category but lists the full post.

Is there a way to that the page only displays the excerpt and not the entire post of each post with that category?

thanks, but this has no effect - by the way, I use CORONA, not ENFOLD.
This is what I have changed in class-breadcrumbs.php:

/* Get the path to the term archive. Use this to determine if a page is present with it. */
if ( is_category() )
$path = 'Blogkategorie ' . get_option( 'category_base' );
elseif ( is_tag() )
$path = 'Stichwort ' . get_option( 'tag_base' );
else {
if ( $taxonomy->rewrite['with_front'] && $wp_rewrite->front )
$path = trailingslashit( $wp_rewrite->front );
$path .= $taxonomy->rewrite['slug'];
}

"Blogkategorie" and "Stichwort" does not appear in the Breadcrumbs on a category archive page like this one:

before the category resp. the tag name, I would like to add "Kategorie:" resp. "Stichwort:" in the breadcrumbs.

Where can I change this please?

Hi there,

Very much hoping you can help with the dynamically crreated portfolio archive page layout.

Presently, portfolio archive results are 1) displayed with the greyscale overlay on the portfolio thumbnails and 2) in a dynamically created archive page that has a right sidebar by default.

I am hoping to turn off the greyscale effect and have the 'archive page' as a full width page with no sidebar so only archive results appear.

I am using a search function plugin called "taxonomy picker" and the results this spits out is greyscale on a default sidebar page.

Thanks in advance:)

Hi,

1.) Open taxonomy-portfolio_entries.php then find this code

$avia_config['portfolio']['portfolio_columns'] = 3;

Replace 3 to 4,2 or 1.

2.) To hide the categories, you can add this on your custom.css

.single-portfolio .blog-categories.minor-meta {
display: none;
}

Cheers,
Ismael

Hi Boris,

You would need a plugin to do something like that. Maybe one of the various google sitemap plugins would do it.

Hi, i have the portofolio page with 4 columns and when I see a portofolio entry, there is the posibility to click the category of the entry and this loads the archive portofolio page. And the question is:

1. How can I change the number of columns of portofolio entries in this page?
2. Can I hide the information of the category in a single portofolio page?

Thanks,

Hi there,

I want to generate a page, that contains a listing of all post, sorted by category, maybe date.

You could name that an archive, table of content or a sort of sitemap or post-index.

This way the user has an overview of all blogposts. Maybe even with a metadescription below each listing.

Do you know, how to do it? Do I need a plugin for that or does it work with WPSEO by Yoast, or Wordpress itself?

thx

Boris

I've just changed some settings on the Yoast SEO plugin which was seemingly corrupting things so I have most archive months now working instead of the first month of this April - ?? Caching issue or something else?
Thanks,

Hi all,
On the blog page on this site: http://www.photographybykrishanthi.co.uk/blog/
When you click on the archives in the right sidebar, which were added using the widget, no archive file link takes you to the actual archive and they default to the home page. It does the same whether the widet is set to dropdown or post counts.
Why is this and how can I fix it?
Thanks,

Hi,

This will do the trick with the order http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-types-order/

----

What I don't understand however, is why would you want to change the link from opening up ajax to linking to lightbox since the thumbnail slides down (on my screen quite far down where I can no longer see it). For anyone to even realize that the functionality of the thumbnail changed and return to click it again when an ajax panel slid open, seems unlikely. Such a customization would be both time consuming and labor intensive with limited benefit. If I am understanding you correctly, it would be outside the scope of the support team.

Thanks,

1) The alphabetical order doesn't work, number of items works (with the plugin, not in Portfolio settings).

2) Yes, but I want the image link to first open the item (with the metabox etc), and when the item is opened I want the image to link to lightbox. If I set the link to lightbox in portfolio settings, the image directly open lightbox, and clicking the title is the only way to open the item.

Hi emilottersten,

1) The plugin should only change it for those that you want. Because the Portfolio items are custom post types, it should not effect the Posts at all unless you set it to.

But that plugin is the best way I know of to re-order the portfolio items.

The number of items can be controlled from the Portfolio options for that page from your theme options>Portfolio.

2) Yes, doing exactly as you said. Just set the individual portfolio image link option to Open in Lightbox and the image will do so when enlarged via the ajax portfolio effect and not link to the portfolio item.

Regards,

Hi,
I have two questions:

1) How can I make changes in the portfolio archive page? I would like to change the order (alphabetical) and the number of items showing. I read in an earlier thread that I should install "Custom post per page" plugin, but that also change the blog archive.

2) Is it possible to change an ajax opened item, so that image doesn't link to the post, but opens in lightbox instead? I'm aware of the setting in portfolio edit. But I still want the thumbnail to open the item in ajax, and then the enlarged image to open in lightbox.
