Hi Bendobd86,

As far as I know there isn't a normal output for them with WooCommerce. The only things that show on the product are what gets entered in on the product page specifically. So the attribute description is just for backend/admin use.

Regards,

Does nobody know how?

I've experimented a bit with various codes and so far no success... I think the only possibility is to have another tab in the product description and put in the decription there ... ?!

Hi there,

do you guys know how the attribute description of two Attributes shows up in the product page?

I have a variable product in the shop, which comes in sizes "Large" and "Small" and the colours "black" and "white". So the attributes are "Colour" and "Size". When i filled in a description field for the parameter "black" (for example I wrote: "a shiny black") - it wont show in the actual product page. It does only show me under the field "additional information" that my variable product comes in colours "black" and "white" and in sizes "large" and "small" ...

Is there any possibilty to also show the description?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

It works fine, I just tested it. You must be doing something wrong. (I can no longer see your website: http://www.clipular.com/c?5007026=GZ4lhV6YeZ3tysU5DguKZUeBbfM&f=.png )

However lets instead focus on what I did to get it working. I made a screen cast for you https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKUWJiX0x5M0RLeEU/edit?usp=sharing so you can compare what I am doing to spot whatever step you are skipping.

I just tried the Product Attributes and Variables options and it is spitting out the same price for all variations. I have read the woocommerce guide regarding product attributes and variations, and all settings are set properly, but still the price only shows for the last variation item.

I made sure to input all data as required (SKU, weight, price, dimensions, etc.,) yet still the price is unchanged on frontend when I select different options which have different prices.

Is there another setting somewhere for AJAX that I need to make sure is set properly? I have tried everything to this point and need help, thanks.

Hi Sigrun,

First try deactivating the theme and switching to one of the default wordpress themes (twenty twelve for example). See if your options show up correctly there even with the non-formatted product page.

If not, its probably an individual product misconfiguration. Whenever you have a variable product, all of its options have to be set on that individual product page so if you are adding changes in the main attributes area, it won't automatically show up on the individual product page.

Regards,

Hi! I run an on-line perfume shop and I need to add new values to an attribute used for product variation (new sizes of perfume bottles). When I edit my products from inside the admin gui everything looks fine. I see the new attribute values and I can add prizes/size/weight/etc. to them just fine. But when I look at the product page, like the customers will see it, I can only see prizes for my old attribute values, the new ones are not in the list. (And I have saved the page, so that's not the issue).

I'd get very happy if you could get back to me on this!!!

Best wishes

Hi Aleksandr,

It's an ambitious project since there are a various exclusions to consider such as situations where the image is simply an image without links,, or pretty boxes. I haven't tested all the new Media toys that came with wp3.5, but at this moment ,

if i understand you correctly, the last hurdle is to detach the value of an alt from an img tag and attach that value to the anchor wrapping the image but attach it as a title tag? And this should be done to images on the 3 links pasted above only (and of course similar formats on pages elsewhere)? .. I think jQuery may just do the trick since the idea of a php solution for this feels bulkier (as well as lengthy).

I will try a few things out, so please hang on.

Thanks,

Hi Devin,

Thanks for answer, I managed to add title to ALT attribute of an image.
But second part is to push this ALT attribute from image to a wrapping link < a > TITLE.

<i>"The script on that page is a year old and submitted by a user to change the way that theme interacts with pretty photo."</i>
Yes, it's pretty old and for another theme, but it's very similar to choices function avia.js -> $.fn.avia_activate_lightbox that should be modified to push img ALT to link < a > TITLE.

Please help to accomplish that.

Thanks,

Hi Aleksandr,

As Peter pointed out in that topic, the default behavior for a title, is to add the title into the ALT attribute or your thumbnail image. To have display a description, add the description into the TITLE attribute or your link.

The script on that page is a year old and submitted by a user to change the way that theme interacts with pretty photo.

Just to note, you can add the information when you are uploading the images originally through the image editor that pops up and don't have to only go through the wordpress media library.

Hi Support,

This addition will be good for SEO and also good to make image popup more informative.

Could you please tell me how to add alt to < img > and title to wrapping < a > for slider image.
So when you click here:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/portfolio-item/tongue-stuck/
Image will have prettyphoto title and desctiption like here:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/template-files/gallery/

I did some research, I think this file and function should be modified: function-set-avia-frontend.php -> avia_image_by_id
You are really good support and I'm interested to make avia framework better.

I'm checking with another support member on this and your other question on moving the attributes over.

Hi Dude,

Too bad. I made changes to the DB already, so I will redo manually.

Thanks

Hi!

Maybe try to restore the database if possible. Unfortunately there's no way to sort the attributes by using a "bulk" action. Other than that you probably need to sort them manually again.

Regards,

Hi!

You can try to replace the entire templates folder - probably this will revert all changes regarding the tabs, etc.

Regards,

Hi Ismael,

Thanks for your answer, I've checked and the tabs located in the file are:
attributes - review - description
tab-attributes - tab-reviews - tab-description

ie: here is the php content of reviews
<?php
/**
* Reviews Tab
*/

global $woocommerce, $post;

if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
<div class="panel entry-content" id="tab-reviews">

 <?php comments_template(); ?>

	</div>
<?php endif; ?>

and the php content of tab-reviews

<?php if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
<li class="reviews_tab"><?php _e('Reviews', 'woocommerce'); ?><?php echo comments_number(' (0)', ' (1)', ' (%)'); ?>
<?php endif; ?>

do you see anything missing I should add or delete in order to get those options back?

I'd rather not install again woocommerce, for the reasons you give :)

many thanks for your help

Hello,

I am not sure if installing the woocommerce plugin again will take it back. This is not suggested because some information might go missing when you install it again. Please be careful.

Regards,
