Unfortunately the Newscast slider does not support an auto rotate feature. If you want a refund you can try to contact the envato support staff: http://support.envato.com/

Hi, I downloaded this theme yesterday for the 'News Slideshow' option.
Found out today that the slider does not.... slide? Or auto rotate.

This leaves me at a loss because I need this function for my theme. How can I make this happen without rebuilding one myself or removing your slider and inserting a plugin? Can I return the theme?

Thanks!

Is the 'News Slideshow' option supposed to display the items in a slideshow with the links down the right hand side of images?

Images and links are displayed correctly but the images are static and do not scroll through the slideshow' although the images do change when links are clicked.

Yup, I've got it set to on for the individual portfolio item. The issue seems to be when the portfolio item is being displayed as part of a larger list - on the front page, as part of 4 portfolio items and on the Games page as part of a list (although it's the only item in the list at the moment). It doesn't rotate then, but does when the individual portfolio item is viewed.

Sorry, for the stupid question, ChrisEngland, you have the settings for autorotation "on"?

At the page, where the slideshow is, at the bottom you'll find the "slideshow options" and below it "Autorotation active?
Check if the slideshow should rotate by default". Do you have set this to "on"?

Hi,

I've set up Corona on the site below, but I've had a few problems with the Fade Slider not wanting to autorotate:
http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com

Specifically, the areas I want to rotate are the main page portfolio elements below the main slider, the slider on the Games page and the full-size portfolio items such as this one: http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/game/xenonauts/

Any help would be appreciated. The sliders work fine when you click the left or right arrows, but I'd rather they started playing immediately as it's not always obvious that the image is a slideshow.

Regarding the question above:

"Is there a way that I can set the homepage slider to auto-rotate, but keep the rest of the sliders (namely the grid of thumbnails from the portfolio view) to just be static images and not auto-rotate? The only place I want to really use the slider functionality is on the homepage."

It looks like she has this working on her site. Can you talk me through it? I need the homepage to be the only rotating gallery. I'm using the Habitat theme.

Thanks!

Thanks but that only changed the read more link. I needed the product image to also reroute to a different page. I also noticed that the title is a link to a dedicated page. I'd like to change that too or disable link capability. All click-able links( read more, image, title) for each product should direct me to the dedicated page. Please advise on what I should do next. I really appreciate your help.

Hey,
open up template_portfolio.php and replace:

<a href="<?php echo get_permalink(); ?>" class="more-link">Read more</a>

with:

<a href="<?php if (get_post_meta($post->ID, 'url', true)) {echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'url', true);} else { echo get_permalink(); } ?>" class="more-link">Read more</a>

Afterwards you need to set post meta fields in all your portfolio posts. Call the fields "url" and type in the websites' adresses or page/post urls as values.
