Hi,

Just add this at the very bottom of style.css to fix the header height.

#wrapper_head .center {
padding: 0px 20px 60px 20px !important;
}

And try this to fix the menus.

#top .nav a {
padding: 2px 6px !important;
}

Hello,

Beautiful themes and nicely organized site...I've been using avisio quite happily for nearly a year now. But now...

I have tried over and over to change the height of my header to accommodate a larger logo, (including the code below) and nothing works. It works when i do it in inspect element in the browser, but when i put the code in the child theme css, nada.

#wrapper_head{
position: relative;
z-index: 100;
overflow: visible;
height:150px;
}

http://www.oasistroncones.com/

As you can see, the logo is overlapping into the slider. Not good.

Please help??

Thanks very much,

Hi there,

I really need help with setting up the portfolio page for my company's website.
I followed these steps as mentioned in another forum:
1) Create Portfolio category
2) Create one or more portfolio entries
3) Create a new page (Pages > Add New) which will be used as portfolio page.
4) Go to Avisio > Theme Options > Portfolio and select the page you created in the last step as "portfolio" page and assign one or more portfolio categories to it.

But the portfolio still does not appear - it entire shows an Error 404, or that the webpage has a 'redirect loop'.

Please help!
Thank you

Hi mobetta,

Can you link to your site so we can take a look live? I don't quite understand what mean by the lightbox image being smaller. The image it is linking to should be the raw file the image comes from. So unless you are uploading very small images that are getting stretched in the various theme uses, the lightbox should show the image fullsize.

Regards,

Thanks Dude - but this doesn't work. I already tried that before posting here.

Not sure if it means something but it's using rel=lightbox[grouped in the back end. Nothing about grouped in the spots you said to fix that fixes nothing.

You can remove the slideshow from the index.php by removing:

<?php
 //this class creates the slideshow
 // SET SLIDER OPTIONS
 $slideshow = new kclass_display_slideshow();
 $slideshow->setQueryType('slideshow');
 $slideshow->setQueryNumber($k_option['slideshow']['feature_count']);
 $slideshow->setSlideshowSize('XL');
 $slideshow->setSlideshowClass('aviaslider');
 $slideshow->setCaption('_img_excerpt');
 $slideshow->setWelcome("You can add Slides manually at your backend <a href='".get_option('siteurl')."/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=slideshow' title=''>here</a> or you can use the <a href='".get_option('siteurl')."/wp-admin/options.php?page=options.php' title=''>dummy content installer</a> to create some slides for you so you see how it is done ;)");
 $slideshow->show();

 ?>

Then replace that with the html that would normally get produced by your slideshow and then modify to your needs. But generally, editing the index.php in the theme files is what you will need to do to get a new homepage layout.

Hello Devin,

Thanks, works like a charm!

What do you think is the best/cleanest option to place two pictures on my frontpage?
What I would like to do is hide the slider (I think I found the solution for that in a previous thread http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/hiding-the-main-page-slider), after that put two images next to each other in exact the same place as the slider would be, both linked to different pages.

Cheers,

Hi Frederik_BTC,

No that isn't possible with the slideshow settings as far as I know. You would need to create an entirely new custom layout to do what you are describing which would require a developer to take care of as its far beyond what we can do via support.

You can get rid of the navigation menu by adding the following to your custom.css file found in the css folder of the theme files:

#top.home .nav {
display: none;
}

Hello,
I would like to divide one slide in two sections, so I can link the two separate sections to separate pages.
I created the slider in photoshop, but now I have to link each section (left and right) to a different page.
Is this possible?
If this wouldn`t be possible, I would like to use the slider image as my front page. So like a “one-page slider” and then somehow divide this image in two sections with different URLs the section gets linked to.
Thanks,

Hi,

It would be great if the lightbox for the featured image on top of every page or post and even portfolio post single actually made the image larger, but instead it is smaller. How do I removed the lightbox functionality here?

I do not want to remove lightbox functions from portfolio category thumbs. Just on the single post, single portfolio post and standard pages.

Thanks

You can add a text widget then enter this code

Thanks Dude but I'm still struggling (probably my own fault). I'll try to be more specific which can hopefully help you help me. I want, in the sidebar widget, a button that matches the excerpt button on the slider content.

Yes, you just need to add the class "button" to the element - eg if it's a submit button you can use following code:

<input type="submit" class="button ie6fix" id="mybutton" value="Buttontext">

Is there any way to replicate the buttons built into Avisio in the sidebar of that theme? I want two buttons in the sidebar but I don't want a different style.

Thanks in advance for the help! Your work is great!

Hi!

Please check the contact form settings (Avisio Options > Contact Form). Select a contact form page and enter a valid email address. You can also try to use another email address (spam filter, etc.)

Regards,

I have Avisio theme and the avisio contact form is not sending me emails when the form is submitted. I've looked at send.php in the theme files but cannot figure out what if anything to edit here. Do I need a plugin? Shouldn't this work out of the box? I appreciate feedback. Thanks.

Hi GT2000,

I would suggest contacting your hosting provider and ask them to scan your account for vulnerabilities. As far as I know there has been no reported exploit with Avisio or any part of its files. Since Kriesi runs it on his MU install in the demo, I would expect his installation to be hit with something major very quickly if it was discovered.

Regards,
