Hi,

They are already transparent. You can check the css style on css > layout.css

.social_bookmarks .rss{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-rss.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .facebook{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-facebook.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .twitter{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-twitter.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .mail{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-mail.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .dribbble{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-dribbble.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .linkedin{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-linkedin.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .search{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-search-top.png) 0 center no-repeat;}
.social_bookmarks .gplus{background: transparent url(../images/layout/icon-gplus.png) 0 center no-repeat;}

You can change the border color with this

#top .social_bookmarks li {

}

I have tried everything in the css to remove the white background from behind the social media icons but am having no luck. Please help.
If I can post a screenshot that would show what I need but I dont see where I can do that. I have a dark textured background and the containers that hold the independent social icons are white blocks I want to make them transparent. Even when I inspect the element I can't find where the white background is coming from.

Hi Mark,

Try to add this code in your Quick CSS (located in Angular > Theme Options > Styling) or custom.css:

#top .primary-background, .info_text_header, #info_text_header .infotext {

We did select the "Red" predefined color scheme, but want to exactly match the red color in the banner message to the custom"Primary Color" we put in—that is used in the horizontal 'bar' above the banner message.

I have tried now a thousand times, but I don't get it to work ... especially concerning not only the background color, but also concerning the "+" and "-" icons.

I would like to have the toggler with

- white background, when it is in the sidebar as a widget (this is okay with the CSS that come with CORONA)

- grey background (my own new toggle background color), when it is

a) a footer widget
b) within a normal post

Could you please tell me how to solve this?

Hi Artifactual,

If you just want to remove it you can go into the minimal-skin.css file and look for:

.submenu{
background: #222 url(../images/shared/grain.png) repeat 0 0;
border-bottom:7px solid #f1f1f1;
}

Change it to:

.submenu{
background: #222;
border-bottom:7px solid #f1f1f1;
}

The same for the main html background:

html{background: #222 url(../images/shared/grain.png) repeat 0 0; }

to

html{background: #222 }

Dude's code should have overwritten the skin's code and done this without modifying the theme but if you want to force it, this is how to do it. If you are using a different skin, it will be in that skin file in the themes css folder (just as the custom.css file and minimal-skin.css files are).

The dark gray color is added to the background with the html{background: #222 above, if you wanted to change it you would just change that bit of css as well.

Regards,

Hi!
You can find the code in shoutbox/css/minimal-skin.css. You can remove the grain background image with following code (add it to css/custom.css):
html, .submenu{background: #222; }

Hi nancyso,

I can't say for sure why it didn't work the same as in other instances but there are a few javascript errors visible when inspecting with Chrome and there could be a complication there (though unlikely).

For the footer, it depends on what you want to edit exactly. Most things can be targeted by using the widget ID for that item. So using your choice of code inspection (firebug or Chrome/Safari's built in inspectors) you would inspect the blog feed you have in your column 4 and target it like:

#community_news-2 p {
font-size: 12px;
}

Since the widget has a specific ID of #community_news-2 and you want to change the paragraph style.

Regards,

I am using the default style, so I am assuming it is style1.css and it is picking up skin1 images (there is no skin1.css). I found the code you suggested I add in the css already. This is how it is listed:

'#wrapper_featured_area, #wrapper_footer_top{
background: transparent url("../images/skin1/bg_grain.png") repeat-x bottom center;
}'

I would think "transparent" should allow the theme color I selected display. It seems to be doing so on the subpages' footers. Nevertheless, changing this to my desired color worked. Thanks!

Just curious: I have used the theme before and I didn't have this issue. Why isn't it picking up the color of the background color I have set thru the theme and why is it different than all the other page footers?

One more question: where can I find the text attributes for the footer text?

My homepage footer is displaying differently than all my other pages' footers. Please take a look: http://www.dataccount.com

I didn't touch the css, just used the options within the theme to change the color.

Thanks

Hi lilwhitemoth,

Looking at casual420.com I see a background color a light tan and the css for it is:

body {
background: #deb887;
}

Are you still having the issue or is it with a specific browser perhaps?

Regards,

I changed my background color to code #deb887 in the quick css files. It worked. Looked great.
Later on in the evening I decided I wanted a shade darker, changed the color code and now my
background color is back to white and I cannot fix it!
Ugh!

You can access that via FTP. Or you can go to Broadscope Theme Options > Layout and Styling > Quick CSS.

I tried searching on this but couldn't find anything. The Auto-Detection button on the Post and Page Avia Featured Image section stopped working. I'm not sure when it happened. Now when I upload a featured image there and click the button, I see the little spinning thing like it's trying to work, but no hex color value appears in the box. Any idea what could interfere with that script on the admin dashboard? I could send you a source code listing if you need to see the scripts that are being loaded there.
