Hi,

No you can't do it. It will break the layout of the page and the responsiveness of the site.

Actually, you can move it on top a little but I think it will cut off the top part of the images.

.avia_fullscreen_slider li {
top: -66px !important;
}

Hi,

Just thought I'd ask this - as it might save me some work... Is it possible for the images to be resized so that the bottom of the image never appears behind the thumbnails of the background slider - that is just 'blank' background appears behind the the thumbnails. I'm just wondering if moving the position of the centre of the available window for the images up a bit say 60-120px might do the trick, or just redefining the available window to not include the area of the thumbnails might do it.

The alternative would be for me to upload images which have a section at the bottom the same colour as the background - problem with that is that might be imperfect for different screen sizes and images.

Regards,
Michael

Hi Nick,

Yes I conveyed this onto my codeable coder and he has sorted it out now - it works satisfactorily now so you can click on a link in the tooltips caption. Great - thanks very much for your help! First class!

Hi,

I understand that if you can get the tooltips to not run away as fast as they do, but instead to wait a little , then that is all that you require? The link is somewhere on there already , right? You just want to give the visitor enough time to be able to click on that link.

Alright , here are the modifications you need to make to /js/avia.js file of Flashlight version 2.3

1) Line 161 : change -28 to -8

The tooltip now comes down all the way to the thumbnail and you can move your mouse onto the tooltip and move the mouse around the tooltip without having it run away, If there is a link there, it should be clickable.

Took 6 minutes. http://i.imgur.com/PhnEkzM.png

Thanks,

Hi,

I have already gone down this path on this forum:

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/linking-photos-to-specific-product-pages#post-107098

And I have asked someone on codeable.io who after a week has not been able to do this.

I am not sure how to proceed now. It is necessary for me to have this on my website for full desired functionality.... And I won't stop asking until I find a way!

Any ideas on who can do this for me or how I can get this done anyone? It surely must be possible somehow!

Regards,

Hi,

Sorry I have discovered I can put a hyperlink in the title and the caption when the gallery is displayed as a background slider. For some reason this wasn't working before... maybe I had the gallery on autorotation...

Hi!

I manage to change it installing the theme again!

I talked to my hosting services and they told me someone has hacked the website and change somethings without permission. I have upload wordpress version and change all passwords but they are telling me that the hacker has enter the webpage throught the theme, so I am still vulnerable. Maybe it has something to do with woocomerce?

I don't know if something like that has happend also to some flashlight user before but I find it quite strange. I love the theme and do not want to change it but I will have to if something like that happens again... Any idea? I am quite worried about this.

Thanks a lot!

The background slideshow displays fine for me (Firefox, Chrome, IE). The folder name depends on the publish date of the hidden post which contains all attachments/uploads. You can change the behaviour though - if you'd like to attach the images to the current post instead of the hidden framework post follow the instructions here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/corona-causes-mess-at-ftp-all-uploads-are-in-the-month-order-of-installing-date#post-32306

I saw that my local one has a 2012 map in the upload map. My online version hasn't. (right now it has a 2012 map but I created that to see if that was the problem). Is there a special map where to put the background slider images?

Hi!

Do you use the latest theme version? Maybe you recently activated a plugin which can cause this error?

Best regards,
Peter

Hi jorisvh,

There isn't any issue that I'm aware of with the 3.3.2 update that would cause this. Have you added any other new plugins or changed anything else with the site?

Can you give us a link to the site? It might be something we can identify with a bit of poking around in the live code.

Regards,

Hello,

Suddenly the background slider does not work anymore. I have some portfolio items and in each portfolio item I have some images. The gallery layout is set to 'as background slider only' . If I go the the page the background is not showing up and when I click on hide sidebar en content I see the thumbnails with the photo's but I can not click on them.

I have recently update wordpress to version 3.3.2. Is there something wrong with the wordpress update?

Thanks,
Martijn

Hi!

sorry for the delay.
The theme currently doesn't allow for both a background image and a slider. The slider image is applied as background image, therefore a second one can't be assigned.

Regards,
Chris

Bump!

Let me just clarify. I would like to use transparent graphic elements on top of a background image on the forntpage. That is why I need to have both a background image and the slide function simultaneously.

Thanks!
