Hey,

first of all this is a great theme and fun to customize. Two quick questions regarding the menu:

(1) If you click a parent menu item a colored bar is shown under the link ("avia-menu-fx"). But is it possible to display this bar even when a submenu page is shown?
(2) I would love to have this colored bar under the "search icon" as well. Any hint which files to customize?

Thanks in advance

Your website looks alright websitesbeyond, but the logo doesn't fit the vibe of the skin. You might as well take Kriesi's logo color scheme too since that pink and purple somehow feel rough on the eyes. Nice job with making it responsive.

Hello,

I have reviewed your page and ran into the same issue. If you are looking to align the search box with the search button, insert the following code into the quick css field:

input-text, input[type="text"], input[type="input"], input[type="password"], input[type="email"], textarea, select {
    display: inline-block;
}

I have successfully completed this here: http://websitesbeyond.com/support

Hi

I think Peter misunderstood and thought you wanted to just remove the initial option text. You can remove the menu from appearing by removing the following in that same file:

// improves menu for mobile devices
	jQuery('.responsive .main_menu ul:eq(0)').mobileMenu({
	  switchWidth: 768, //width (in px to switch at)
	  topOptionText: jQuery('.main_menu').data('selectname'),     	//first option text
	  indentString: '&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;' //string for indenting nested items
	});

Hi,

I am looking but I am not seeing anything. I am clicking on 'Signs', the portfolio item pops up on top and shows the meta client and area. Then I click on the sortable option 'Web' and peel apart and yorkshire soccer remains below the Signs. I see nothing extra below the footer.

Please optimize your images more, I can see most of them can be dropped 30-80% without loss of quality, because you are at 1.4 megs with the front page and should be more than half less. Since you are loading from a single server there is no parallel loading and its not as fast as it could be, which may be the reason for what you are seeing.

What browser are you using? If you can, please take a snapshot of what you are seeing.

Thanks,

Hi,

Love the theme and just about ready to go live!

Just a quick question - there seems to be a small problem with the angular portfolio, when you select a portfolio item, then change the category, another scroll bar appears and there's extra space below the footer. It doesn't happen on your demo but I've checked a few other sites using the theme and it does the same on some of theirs. You can see it on mine - http://www.ventcreative.co.uk/wp/

Any ideas why this is happening?

Hi nwhidden,

You can remove the arrow by adding this code in your Quick CSS:

Good afternoon. We removed the logo from the header.php file and added a div layer for the logo. The client wants the logo to go over the header and the slider. It seems to all be working nicely, however it seems like there is a bar (the bar with the arrow for the menu select) going over the new layer. Can you advise on how we can remove that bar? We do not need the arrow select effect. Thanks, we are very happy with this theme.

The site link is:

Hi antoniocansi,

Kindly go to Appearance > Menus.

Click the 'Screen Options' and uncheck then check 'Description' again.

Go to Second Menu and expand the 'Tech News' (just based on example) by clicking on the arrow button on the right side of the 'Tech News'.

You should see a Description Box. Type some text and it should appear below the 'Tech News'. Done forget to Save Menu.

Just check the Documentation "Setting up the Menus of your site" (bundled with the theme) for more information. :) Hope this helps. :)

I don´t know how to write this little text, the <span>. I was checking it but... I tried to write in categories (because I have categories in my menus), in the categories slugs, in the categories descriptions... But I don´t know hot to do it in word press. Maybe writing in the source.

If it couldn´t possible, I will glad if anyone tall me how to re-size it, to reduce the height.

Hey!

It's not easily possible to implement this feature because it would require a complex jquery/javascript function. I'm sorry. It's for sure possible to achieve what you want but you need to hire a freelancer for this task.

Regards,

Hi,
Firstly I love the theme and how easy it is to edit,
But I'm interested in a slight change something that is slightly beyond my skill level.

I'd love to be able to replace the drop down menu with a secondary menu directly underneath the navigation menu.
That when someone hovers over or clicks a specific menu item, the secondary menu changes to whatever would have been in the drop down menu.

(I apologise in advance for my poor description, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it!)

I hope you can help!

Kind regards,
Jamie

Hey!

add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/

#top div #searchsubmit {
background: url("../images/shared/arrow-right.png") no-repeat scroll center center #333;
}

#top div #searchsubmit:hover {
background: url("../images/shared/arrow-right.png") no-repeat scroll center center #CCC;
}

replace the image url with an image your like then do the same with the colors ;)

Cheers
Kriesi

Hello! Just looking for a bit of advice.

Is there any way to replace the arrow image with a small magnifying glass image that I have in the search bar? I have restyled the rest (placement and font) to my liking, but I need a bit of help with this.

Thank you!
