Hi Devin,

I apologize the site was sandboxed when I asked for help earlier. Now it's launched and public you can go to http://kbctech.com/blog and see that it only lists the sidebar archives but not the posts in the main container. Do you know how to fix this.

Thanks,

Jerome

Hi Unique1,

I could not locate the blog page on kbctech.com. Could you provide a link directly to the directory where you have attempted to install the Broadscope theme into WordPress?

If you have are having issues installing WordPress, the WordPress codex located here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress is a great resource.

Thanks,

My blog posts are not showing up on the blog page for the following site:

kbctech.com

So far we have reinstalled the theme, copied the template-blog.php file using editor and compared code to a successful working domain and don't see a difference. See working domain below.

jeromesouth.com

Do you know how to fix this?
Many thanks,

You can adjust the query in this case - there's no need to remove anything. Open up index.php (I assume that it's your blog template) and search for following line:

$additional_loop = new WP_Query("cat=".$k_option['mainpage']['feature_cats_final']."&posts_per_page=".$k_option['mainpage']['feature_count']);

You can adjust the query parameters to your needs. I.e if you'd like to create a "single" template modify it to:

global $wp_query;
$additional_loop = new WP_Query("page_id=".$wp_query->post->ID);

That is good info for future reference, but I was not clear enough about my needs request. The area I want to clear of entries is the wide content area on the left of the page, not the sidebars. The sidebars are fine as is.

Hey,
you can delete the dummy widget content in sidebar.php - search for following code and delete it:

Categories

			            <?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&optioncount=0&hierarchical=0'.$exclude); ?>

Archive

			            <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>

				<?php
				//right dummy sidebar
				}else { ?>

Pages

			            <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=' ); ?>

Bloggroll

			            <?php wp_list_bookmarks('title_li=&categorize=0'); ?>

You can also create a second sidebar template and modify the get_sidebar function in your custom blog template: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_sidebar

I would like to create a PAGE template based on the blog structure where the two right-hand sidebars are present. However, I would like the left hand content column to be free of any Entries. When I try to use the current blog page template, it wants to list earlier blog posts as entries in the left hand column. Don't want that, just want a blank area to enter my desired content.

Possible?

Where do I look for the file(s), what code needs to be altered?
