Hi Charles,

I'm not sure if you will really get the 100% quality because Wordpress is not as good as an image editing software when it comes to resizing, that's why users of Wordpress experience some loss of quality to their images when it is resized. I believe the issue is not on the theme but more on Wordpress.

Regards,
Ismael

Thank you so much, Devin.

I've tried the plugin but there were no significant changes to the quality of the images in my site and the original images uploaded were definitely of good resolution for displaying.

Do I have to re-upload the image files in order for the images to appear in "100% quality"?

Sincerely,
Charles

Hi Charles,

From what I can see the images are identical alone and in your slideshow. Wordpress does automatically compress images to 90% quality on upload and you can use a plugin like this to change it: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jpg-image-qualitycompression/

Not sure if this is your issue or not but there isn't anything like what was happening in this topic happening on your site.

Regards,

Devin

Hi there! My original image files are of 940px but the images still appear blur in the slide show.
In fact, all the images throughout my website turned out to be visibly blurred upon display.

As a temporary measure, what I did was to use Photoshop to sharpen the images, but the quality isnt up to par with the original image files and it isn't the way to approach it correctly.

My website: http://www.myclearify.com

I'm a layman attempting to build this site by myself so, will really appreciate some help and advice from here. Thks in advance!
Regards
Charles

Hi Marta,

It might have something to do with the css that looks like its been added into the Quick CSS:

.home .slideshow li img {
width: 928px!important;
height: auto!important;
}

The image and area is actually 930 wide, so smushing it even by those 2 pixels will cause a very slight blur.

Regards,

Hi, i have the same problem and couldn't solve it. Core files are set to high quality,and i think it's something in the slideshow...

Just have a look, compare the first image in the home website: http://www.innovaimagen.com/web/ with the image itself: http://www.innovaimagen.com/web/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/color2.jpg

Any idea?

Regards,

Can you post a link please. Maybe the image are too small or you changed the thumbnail size and you forgot to regenerate the images with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ ?

If not you can try to increase the thumbnail quality by hacking the core files: http://shashinki.com/blog/2008/02/25/change-thumbnail-quality-in-wordpress/
