Hi lhnbmx,

In your WP Dashboard try to check Woocommerce > Settings > Catalog > Image Options and the sizes of the images. As of now, I checked your site and it is using 150px x 150px product image. If you can see a 150px x 150px in the product image size, kindly change it to 300px and use the Regenerate plugin to regenerate the images.

Regards,
Ismael

Plz check my site :http://www.quintin.com.cn/store/headwear/ . The thumbnails are blurry. But I have checked the config.php of woocommerce-config folder.

//product thumbnails
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_thumbnail'] = array('width'=>80, 'height'=>80);
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_catalog'] = array('width'=>300, 'height'=>300);
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_single'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>450);
avia_backend_add_thumbnail_size($avia_config);

Could you help me solve the problem? Thx!

Hi,

Look for this code again on functions.php

$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio_small'] = array('width'=>232, 'height'=>299 ,'copy'=>'greyscale');	// images for portfolio 4 columns

Change the size to 464x598. You must also regenerate the thumbnails.

$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio_small'] = array('width'=>464, 'height'=>598 ,'copy'=>'greyscale');	// images for portfolio 4 columns

http://joolz.fr/ site uses the old thumbnail size for 4 column portfolio which is 465x465px. You can also try that if you want.
I think he also uses the same canvas size for every images, that is why the thumbnails look uniform and precise.

Regards,
Ismael

Hey flylanddesigns,

Glad you were able to get it solved :)

The image scaling can be a bit troublesome when you need things to be pixel perfect it takes some getting used to in how wordpress chooses to scale an image.

Regards,

Thank you for your help - I finally solved the problem.

I changed the thumbnail size in the functions.php file and the Media settings to a size 150% larger than what the thumbnails appear. I must have had the sizing just a pixel shy of the size it appears, so it was degrading the quality.

I'm having terrible trouble with the Choices theme. I've been at this for hours, reading through the forums and trying everything.

No matter what I seem to do, the portfolio thumbnails appear blurry. They are blurry no matter what size image I upload (normally they are around 800pxx800px), but I even tried super high resolution, around 1200px, with no difference), no matter what orientation they are (portrait, landscape, the original dimensions, and the dimensions I've changed them to). I've disabled Smushit, no effect.

Please help - I've seen another artist's site using a similar theme (Angular, I think), and his thumbnails are sharp and crisp.

I'm willing to pay $35 an hour to anyone who can fix this issue - I need it fixed this week.

For a portfolio theme, it seems way to difficult to resize/crop thumbnails.

The website is flylanddesigns.com, but you will have to contact me, because I will have a matenence mode turned on for a few days.

flylanddesigns@gmail.com

Help! Thanks!
