Hi!

Actually it might be that the missing files interfere with the ajax calls and the returned results. also I noticed that several plugins throw 404 errors, which might cause the issues you are having.

Best regards,

Hi,

You are missing http://puntomov.com/wp-content/plugins/sociable/images/option1/32/more.png . Looks like from Sociable plugin. Perhaps you can update it. I know it isn't the problem you came here for, but non the less Google doesn't like missing images.

I tagged this thread for Kriesi. Personally I don't have the sleektabs theme files and I'm not sure how we can fix this. I noticed that the pagination (blog) doesn't work but the main menu links worked flawlessly.

Hi Kriesi team,
I have an old and consistent issue with SleekTabs, buyed at ThemeForest few years ago.
I buyed others Kriesi themes too, but I don't want to change this theme in my personal page, it's awesome!
See you by yoursefl: http://puntomov.com
You can't view the entire site, because some pages doesn't show after the ajax slide effects.

Thank you!!

Hi,

I am sorry, that plugin is not compatible with the theme since it monopolizes ob_start, which the theme uses as well. There are now so many different cache plugins including W3 Total Cache, which is perfect for shared hosting websites, or Batcache with APC that there is no longer a need to 'marry' a particular cache plugin.

If you are serious about speed consider running wordpress of nginx with, php-fpm, apc and varnish using cloudflare for dns on a metered cloud virtual host. Monthly price may be 10$ more but the speed boost is significant.

Thanks,

I think you should stay away from cache plugins if you're running a store - they simply cause many issues you can't control. They're great for static websites without dynamic content but shop pages are very complex (calculations, ajax requests, user defined data, etc.) and cache plugins often don't handle this situation properly.

YES! Devin, I did as you suggested and it turns out that it is the Digg Digg plugin that is causing the menu to be cut-off. Not the W3 Total Cache as I originally thought.
As much of a bummer as that is, I'm soooo happy to finally have the solution. And I don't have to rebuild my site, which is what I was about to resign myself to do.
Guess I'll wait for an update to Flashlight that includes an updated Menu Bar before I start messing with a bunch of plugin's.
Thanks everyone for your help!

I did as you instructed and it didn't work. I unzipped the original flashlight file locally and copied and replaced it on the ftp server, emptied my cache, refreshed everything and the menu bar is still being cut off on the pages with minimal body sections.
Is there anything else that can be done to fix this without me having to start from scratch?
I'd be happy to provide login info if that is the direct route.

Sorry to hear that. Personally I can't state anything negative about W3TC though. I'll ask Kriesi if he's familiar with WP Super Cache and maybe he can help you. Maybe try to validate your website with the w3c validator. Sometimes small html coding errors can cause major issues with wordpress plugins or some clients/browsers.

The problem is that the "old" outdated flashlight folder still exists and WordPress won't overwrite the theme folder unless you delete your current flashlight theme. I'd suggest to use ftp or your cpanel to make a backup of your current theme files first. Then simply drag'n'drop the unpacked theme folder (which contains the new files) into wp-content/themes and as soon as filezilla asks you if you want to overwrite the existing files click "Yes" for all files in the queue.

Yes we did and it broke our site.... When we actioned W3TC to work in advance mode it wrote new code into the ht access file which inhibited any ability to update or create new posts.... it took us 2 days to work out what it had done to screw everything up - I wouldn't advise anyone to use that plugin...

Hello,
I exported a backup of my website and then went into my Themes and then to Install. I loaded the most current version there is of Flashlight so I had no other option but to install flashlight again via upload of the .zip file.
I tried this without removing the current theme or any content. I got the following error though:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

Destination folder already exists. /hermes/bosoraweb040/b159/ipg.pureilluminationsnet/pure/wp-content/themes/flashlight/

Theme install failed.

I'm not sure how to do what you're recommending in your previous message. Could you please advise me on how to reinstall the theme so I do not loose any of my own content and modification?

Hi Samantha,

I would recommend re-installing the most up to date theme (available from your downloads on themeforest) overtop the existing theme on your live server. This way it will update everything and get it back to at least a fresh installation. It won't effect any of your theme settings but it will get the files and scripts to what they should be.

Hello,
I tried as you suggested and the issue is still occurring in all browsers. I've even tried other peoples computer's and the menu is still being cut off on pages that don't have much in the body area. The custom.css is still deleted. I even tried switching to the dark.css theme option in hopes it would restore what it is that was corrupted but it is still being cut off.
Is there any way that you can supply me with the original code/scripts for the Menu so I can go into some of the original code to copy and paste the correct code into it again and see if that fixes it?

Hi Ismael,
I deleted everything in the custom.css that I had changed (not much really) and it still didn't affect anything when I hit F5 or Ctrl + Reload.
I know the issue appeared immediately after I hit "empty cache" inside of the W3 Total Cache plugin module. I've no idea how it interacts with the theme but I assume the issue is related to what I did.
Is there anything else we can try to fix it?

Thank you so much for helping!
Samantha

Hello,

Did you put anything on your custom.css? Please create a copy of custom.css if there is anything there then save it somewhere. Delete the original. See if this has something to do with css.

Regards,
Ismael

Hi Ismael,
Thanks for the reply. I tried as you suggested but it didn't work for me. I increased it to 600px and it still doesn't make a difference. I'm curious to know if the same thing is occurring for you in Chrome or FireFox?

Thank you,

Hi!

Did you try other plugins like W3TC? I use it on my websites and I didn't encounter any errors yet.

Regards,
