I didn't test it but you can the do_shortcode() function: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode

Open up wp-content\themes\flashlight\includes\helper-slideshow.php and replace all occurrences of:

if($exif['description']) $output .= "<div class='description'>".$exif['description'][1]."</div>";

Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for a great photography theme!

In the the Caption Text box for the images in the Gallery Options of my portfolio item, I'd like to insert shortcode for a button that links my gallery image to the related product in my store (and also some social media buttons). At the moment, inserting the shortcode just shows the shortcode and not the button. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks,
Gerry.

Now I think that it is probably intentional that the second line doesn't show up when seen on a browser, because it'd probably be too small to read. So I think this is resolved. :)

I have an Aviapoly slider on the top of the welcome page of my site. Currently there are two slides. Each has a caption and caption text. Viewed on my iMac it works perfectly. When I view it on my iPhone in Safari or Chrome, the caption title appears, but the caption text does not. How can I correct this?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Best,

-Vik
P.S. It is so cool that a finger-swipe across the slider on the iPhone screen moves to the next slide!

Can i enlarge the caption text? I want to use a bigger font size.

Thanks & best regards!!!

Hi InterdisciplinaryInnovation,

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    #top .slideshow_container.dynamic_element .slideshow_inner_caption { height: auto;}
}

That should do it :)

Regards,

I would like to prevent the caption text from disappearing when the responsive theme adjusts to a smaller screen size. (specifically with the space picture and the capture which says "Be the change you want to see in the world. - Gandhi"

The below link is using Angular v1.3, and when the screen is made smaller, the text just gets smaller, but the words are always visible.
http://therealmofpossibility.org/home/

In Angular v1.4, using the same photo and the same text, when the screen is made smaller, the words simply disappear. As seen on the below page:
http://interdisciplinaryinnovation.org/

My question is, how can I get the text to be responsive. If this was corrected in version 1.5, please let me know, of if you have any suggestions on how I could fix this problem.

Thanks!

Hey,

I don't have a direct solution for this but using ASCII codes works as an alternative. For example, for typing a "ç" you'd type

&ccedil;

These character codes can be found on numerous sites like this one.
