Hi,
FYI, I installed this basic plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/logo-slider/ and it works quite well. Just added the shortcode in a textbox, and set the logo slider width to 450px in order to avoid (some of the) problems as it's not responsive (even though doable through a custom css).
Too bad this plugin doesn't support greyscale/colour logo transition...
Adding my 2 cents to see this feature in Enfold...

Hi there,

Ive been hoping for something similar. The grid I suspect we all cant achieve easily is the 6+ columns by 2+ rows grid where you can rollover a grid box and the client logo's (in each box) would switch between two states (usually mono to a colour). The grid box might animate out slightly, dim or in some cases flip over but regardless of which there would be a link attached to go to a URL or clients work or a page within the site.

The above is what nearly all creative/portfolio developers supply out of the box and the only way ive been able to get close with Enfold is to create a basic image grid and disable the mouse click functionality (as a photo view would be pointless - it needs to be a link)

Its crude and far from ideal but for now I think its the best option.

Cheers
Andy

Hi MikehJPP,

It really depends on the final presentation you are looking for. A full width image slider will work but its still an image slider. You could even use a wordpress gallery grid if you want them to show up as a grid of images or any of the other image display options.

With how open ended the idea is, you really could do just about any option.

As my title suggests, I am displaying a group of retailers and their logos that sell our product line and wish to have it available for the user to see.

How would you recommend I use enfold to accomplish this task? A custome full width slider? I beleive there are "solutions" but I wanted to hear from the enfold developers (or those who have come across this rather routine display feature) and have found a great solution already before I begin "tinkering".

Thank you in advance, and thank you for your continued work on this theme.

Hi,

The main problem causing the slider to show up not as a slider on your home page and just fine on a different page is that your main page contains no javascript files or css files from the slider plugin while the other page has 1 css and 2 javascript in the footer of the page that works.

<link rel="stylesheet" id="ilc-all-slider-css-css" href="http://www.sbirhub.com/wp-content/plugins/ilc-all-slider/css/ilc-all-slider.css" type="text/css" media="all">

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.sbirhub.com/wp-content/plugins/ilc-all-slider/js/jquery.carousel.js?ver=5.5.6"></script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.sbirhub.com/wp-content/plugins/ilc-all-slider/js/ilc-all-slider.js"></script>

So the question is, what prevent the slider from enqueueing in the first location but not the second. Since I don't have the plugin code in front of me I will try to use my ESP. I see a poorly written block of code somewhere in the plugin that may look like if (is_page() || is_post()) { enqueue ...the above files} ... You need to check the plugin and investigate just how the plugin enqueues those 3 url's above, and use some of Wordpress conditional tags http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags to make sure that those files are added to home page as well as any other places you may need them.

------
Off topic:

You are missing the following file, causing an error on the page http://sbirhub.com/images/skin-minimal/bg-header.png ... Chances are you are not referencing it correctly, since that file can be found under this url. http://www.sbirhub.com/wp-content/themes/corona/images/skin-minimal/bg-header.png . Please check your quick css for a block

#header {
border-bottom: 1px solid #eee;
background-image: url(../images/skin-minimal/bg-header.png);
background-repeat: repeat-x;
background-color: #ffffff;
}

and change the url to be without ../ .. or use the full url i pasted above.

Thanks,

I am trying to use a horizontal slider/carousel on the home page of the Corona theme (AllSlider plugin). I have inserted this as a page in the template builder, however the shortcode does not seem to work on the home page, see http://www.sbirhub.com and instead just stacks the slides for the slider. This same page/shortcode works perfectly when used as a separate page, e.g., http://www.sbirhub.com/test-page. I have tried deactivating all other plugins to see if there was a plugin conflict but there is not. Any ideas why it works in one situation and not another? If this is a conflict between the plugin and the theme, can you recommend another similar horizontal product slider/carousel that does work with the Corona theme and can be used on the home page? Thanks!

Hi,

I just managed to solve this issue. Just to give this topic some reason to exist:

the place the images thumbnails are created is in media.php file included in the wordpress wp-includes directory, the function is called wp_get_attachment_image. At the end of the function there is a following row:

$html .= '/>';

which I changed to:

$html .= '/><span class="nts-img1" title="' . get_the_title( get_post_thumbnail_id() ) . '"></span>';

That adds an empty span to the image, which is considered to be a dirty way to solve problems by some more advanced coders, but I'm just a mere beginner with almost none experience so far, so this solution is good for me at this moment :-)

Then I address the span in the custom.css file included in your Abundance theme css folder as follows:

.nts-img1[title~="novinka"]

where nts-img1 is the class of the span. As you can see, you have to include some string in the image title, because the image title is passed to the span title as well and it is then addressed following this string in the css part. This way, you can have several kinds of 'stickers'. It's not the cleanest way, I know, I would like to add the spans to the images according to tags or categories of the products, but I need to gain some experience before as I have very limited knowledge of php. This was only very quick solution.

Sorry for messing up your support forum, as this issue touches more WordPress than Abundance theme.

Hello team,

I would like to have a kind of a sticker added to images in your 'Products' dynamic template element. I thought that a <span> tag that could be addressed and given some content via css could do the job - I managed to do the thing on the sigle product overview page - you can see it here: http://www.magsbags.cz/?product=svacinovy-ubrousek-fialovy-puntik - it's the 'Novinka' circle sticker placed on top of the product image thumbnail. I'd like to do the same with the product carousel on our homepage, but I could not find the place in the code where this element is created. Could someone give me a clue whether this idea is practicable and if so, where to look for the code?

Thanks a lot for any answer in advance.
