Hi David,

In your functions.php, look for this line:

$avia_config['imgSize']['dynamic_2'] = array('width'=>609, 'height'=>208); // images for 2/3 dynamic portfolio columns

Change it to

$avia_config['imgSize']['dynamic_2'] = array('width'=>609, 'height'=>375); // images for 2/3 dynamic portfolio columns

You'll need to regenerate your images afterwards with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Hi Devin,

Not working. What I need is to resize the slideshow in my home (index.php). Whatever you do the size of the image slideshow always rescaled to 609 x 208px size when I need is to have 609 x 363px

Can it Be That the columns created by the template builder this resize the slideshow?

Should not change anything functions.php or CSS?

Resizing the banner image slideshow does not change its high in index.php!

Thanks

Hi David,

In that case, just us an image that scales down to both sizes in the way that you need.

so make your image 930px wide and then however tall you want it on the "smaller" slideshow just add 321 pixels to the height. This way you'll have an image that is 930px wide and (some number + 321px) tall. Since the image will be scaled down, it will fill up the space you want it to on both pages.

Regards,

Hi Devin,

First wanted to thank you for your help, but I can not solve the problem.

As you say, the slideshow images fit the 609px width and high are scaled according to the width, but this happen inside of the page, in the index.php does not happen. Let me explain better, I have created a template for my index. This template is made with the "template builder". For my design, I need a slideshow and right floating the Twitter widget. Then from "Template builder" of Choices theme, I created two columns (66% and 33%), where the left column loads a "Single page" containing the slideshow. And the right column twitter widget.

The problem is that when I see the slideshow from the page it's ok. But when I see it from my index, created with the "template builder", the slideshow does not have the height that I need.

What did I do wrong? How I can fix it?

I pass a link to the screenshot of the index: http://www.designandweb.es/choices

And the link to the page where the slideshow is correct: http://www.designandweb.es/choices/choices.html

Devian thank you very much, I need your help!
David

Hi David,

The slideshow when used in the column layout will be 609 pixels wide and then the slideshow image height will be scaled based on that width. So what you need to do is use images that are 609 pixels wide and then the height that you want them to be. Or, if you want to use those same images as full width slideshows on other pages and not have any kind of scaling issues, you can up the scale of them to work proportionally with your full width pages and make your images 930px wide and whatever height you need.

So just to re-phrase, make your images as tall as you need them so that when they are adjusted down to fit the slideshow size they still keep the same height you want them to have.

Regards,

I have a problem with a theme, "Choices". I want to put a slideshow in the Home, but I need that it has a size in concretly, that does not deal the whole width of screen. I upload two jpg that you could see the problem:

http://www.designandweb.es/choices/
http://www.designandweb.es/choices/choices.html

The problem is that if I use the option of slideshow inside my template I cannot put the widget of twitter in float. And if I use columns the slideshow does not take the size that I need (600px x 400px brought near).

How can I do it? Have I to touch something of the CSS?

A million thanks,
David
