Hi,

There is something wrong with your setup. Something is interfering. And you got some weird issue with permalinks too. http://runforcourage2013.org/wp-content/themes/enfold/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/skins/.DS_Store/skin.css ... for some reason your host is coming and showing advertisement on that page in their skin instead of that page being just a 404 error in your skin. You are also missing another css file as well. Perhaps your wordpress installation is corrupted.

Thanks,

Hi - Could you please tell me where to make the color change that appears underneath the main navigation when hovered over? I thought it would go along with the predefined color scheme I chose, but when I hover over a menu item, the colored line does not appear below it at all. Thanks in advance.

@GordonHJK: Thanks for the help.

@timmeeh89: Try to remove browser cache then reload the page. Sometimes it takes a few refresh before the changes take effect.

HI

So what I did which works for me is as follows:

1. Go to Enfold/Styling
2. Click on the main content tab
3. Paste #72c4b9 over the previous blue colour in highlight colour [Im using the default colour scheme]
4. Save all changes

Then the hover colour has changed to the one I want on the front end.
It does sound odd that you can't even change the colour scheme... I'm a new user here so that
s the only suggestion I have .. hopefully someone else can help.

But to answer my own question about CSS changes to the heading colours, further searching showed that the !important marker is required. So this CSS works - copied from an earlier answer by Kriesi staff about another theme - but worked for Enfold.

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, legend { color: #5A5A5A !important; }

Hello Gordon,

Thanks for your message. Yes, I do mean at Dashboard/Enfold/Styling. The changes I make don't in any way affect the website. Everything stays green.

Hi
Do you mean using the Enfold settings tab or using CSS?

At Dashboard/Enfold/Styling you can change colours for the paragraph text, link colour, borders, alternative layout background etc. This is working fine for me.

But I can't figure out how to change the colours for headings & CSS changes don't seem to work. I will start a separate query re this.

I am trying to change the colors of everything in the Enfold Theme Options under Styling, but when I change something, nothing happens. I keep turning things to pink, because that's the color of our compagny, but still everything is staying green. I also can't change to any of the pre-defined color schemes. Is there something I am missing?

Hi outtacontext,

With css and the page body class you can target any single page and style it however you want. You can use a tool like Firebug for Firefox or Chrome/Safari's Inspect Element to pick out each selector and then add the new css to the Quick CSS or custom.css file.

See: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/fyi-firebug-tutorial-for-wordpress-users

I've been looking this over and it seems that the elements I want to change are these:

a different style for #sidebar-bg (which I could rename) to change the color of the sidebar)

<?php
echo avia_logo(AVIA_BASE_URL.'images/layout/logo.png'); (to change the logo image)
?>

#top .site-background, html, body, .comment-reply-link, .main_menu .menu ul li, .title_container #searchsubmit:hover, .isotope .entry-content, .image_overlay_effect, .tagcloud a, .news-thumb, .tweet-thumb a, fieldset, pre, .container_wrap .social_bookmarks li, #info_text_header.minimized {
    background-color: #BDBDBD;
} (which is the main background color in the header.php file is called with this code: <body id="top" <?php body_class(avia_get_option('blog_layout')." ".$style.$avia_config['font_stack']); ?>>

Now, this is just a guess (and I'd like you to tell me if it's true): couldn't I create a different header.php file (say, say called header-2.php) and change the call to the header in my new template to:

get_header(2);

	?>

If it's true I can create a new header.php for this section I would need to know how to point to the new style in this php (to change the background color):

<body id="top" <?php body_class(avia_get_option('blog_layout')." ".$style.$avia_config['font_stack']); ?>>

I want to know if it's possible to change the colors of the Sentence design for just one template.

What I'd like to do is to create a new section of the site using the default template but to have a different set of colors for just that one section.

Also, I'd like to know the name of the file that is the default template as I would use that as a basis for the new section.

Hi,

This code will make the menu link color of the current page : red. Please add it to /css/custom.css or to Quick CSS located in the admin area .. Replete > Theme Options > Styling ... the text area at the bottom of that page...

#top .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, #top .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a {
color: red !important;
}

----------Social media

Your best bet is to use a plugin for the social media and insert it into that place via a shortcode or php that comes from the plugin itself.
Here is a good free social plugin ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/socialize/ ) though there are dozens of others, both free and premium.

You would need to add the code from the plugin in between line 79 and 80 of /includes/loop-index.php in the theme folder

Thanks,
