Hi Aaron,

Kriesi always designs with the gravatars on or at least the placeholders. Just go to Wordpres Settings>Discussion then scroll down to Avatars and select the Blank Default Avatar (or whatever you would like). Save and that should fix it :)

Regards,

Hello,

I am building a section of my website which needs comments on pages. I know this is possible on a normal wp install, so I am guessing on my flashlight theme this is disabled.

I am not sure this was something I myself disabled or if this is coming from the theme itself.

In anycase, how can I activate it?

eg: http://www.lavillenue.fr/nous

Hi colorit2,

As far as I knowt hat is actually added by Wordpress core. Adding the display: none shouldn't leave any whitespace as that css property actually removes the css from being rendered (ie it doesn't leave a blank space like hidden would).

Thanks, but in which file is this located, to delete it there, because setting just the CSS to display:none gets a big white space. I would like to delete it "clean" in the file itself, but what file?
Thanks.

In that case, you can do exact same thing in includes>comments.php. within the velvet theme. The only difference is the html echoed in velvet is slightly different (using grid instead of class names).

Generally, most of Kriesi's themes are set up and coded very similarly so if you have solution for one there is a good chance it will work without very much adjustment for another.

Tbh I didn't test the e-commerce plugins with Choices. WooCommerce and Jigoshop won't work with it. You can test the Cart66 Lite and the PayPal Shopping Cart plugin for free and you don't risk your money. The Tribulant Shopping cart worked very well with Vevet and since version 1.6.9 you can create "product entries" by using a custom post type.

Can you just link us to the site with an admin's post on it? Then I can give you the specific css for that admin as it is *not* the ID but instead its the username that appears as a class in the css for the post.

Regards,

thanks, Peter, but this has also no effect. NEWSCAST seems to change the comment background rotatory. Uff, my English is not so good ... in German:

abwechselnd, egal, wer kommentiert, Autor oder User, wird der Hintergrund desjenigen Kommentars hellgrau, wenn der nächste Besucher kommentiert, wird der gleiche Kommentar des Autors weiß usw.

You can see it live here in the demo:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/newscast/2010/03/06/why-doesnt-apple-rebrand-to-banana/

The background colour of the comments is always changing there.

Open up wp_list_comments.php and replace:

<li <?php comment_class(); ?> id="li-comment-<?php comment_ID() ?>">

with:

<?php
$id = get_comment(get_comment_ID())->user_id;
$author_id = ($id) ? ' comment-author-'.$id : '';
?>
<li <?php comment_class(); echo $author_id; ?> id="li-comment-<?php comment_ID() ?>">

and Devins code should work.

I just found out, that the comment form, as I have added the code above to page.php, only works for pages with "default", but not as full width page (no dynamic template!).

There is no comment form on full width pages! How can I solve this? Thanks.
