Hi,

These are basically css issue. Lots of new css properties are not supported by IE7 anymore and a lot of these properties are being used by the theme. To point every one of them is nearly impossible and will take a lot of time. If you visit this link:

http://themeforest.net/item/eunoia-responsive-portfolio/2792441?sso?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=Kriesi

Look for Compatible Browsers, IE7 is not included.

Most scripts can be found on js > avia.js. The theme will still function without it but will definitely lose the style that Eunoia should have. You can disable the script on functions.php, find this code

wp_register_script( 'avia-default', AVIA_BASE_URL.'js/avia.js', array('jquery'), 4, false );

Remove it. Features like Ajax portfolio, hovers, menu styles, lightbox will no longer work.

Regards,
Ismael

Are there any scripts or anything I can remove to improve the compatibility?

I have checked the site and it appears to function correctly on IE7, IE8 and IE9 within reason. There are a couple of font issues though but nothing too major.

Hi orthoticmarketing,

The template doesn't support IE7 unfortunately and most of the industry no longer does either. With IE10 being released in October of 2012, most companies including Google and Twitter completely stopped support IE7 and below.

Envato (Themeforest parent company) also dropped the requirement for themes to support IE7 about 2 years ago.

Your best route would be to find a computer you can test IE7 on and then fix whatever you can.

Regards,

Hi Kriesi + team,

I have just completed our companies new website using the Eunoia theme. A good 4 months work in total.

I have just had a complete panic attack upon realisation that a majority of our customers are NHS customers in the UK. They are so highly regulated they appear to use IE7 across the whole of the UK (having rang some of our key clients).

I am using a beastly windows 8 machine running the latest everything. This is making it extremely difficult to test what versions it works with!

The site does not work in IE6 at all which I can accept. IE6 is about 7 years old now so it is not such an issue that it does not work at all in IE6. However 7 is used by our main customers.

Does it work in IE7 and is there anything I can do to improve compatibility. I do not care if I have to remove all of the javascript effects if I can get the site to view in a reasonable state in old browsers!

Please advise I need to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Hi sergshal,

This topic is considerably outdated. WooCommerce 2.0 is out now as well as theme updates for Abundance to bring it up to compatibility with WooCommerce 2.0.

Neither of which is really compatible with Wordpress 3.4. So if you are using WooCommerce 2.0+, you need to update the theme files by re-download the theme from your downloads on themeforest as well as update Wordpress to 3.5.1.

Hi, I have the same problem. I installed CodeStyling Localization (which is compatible with 3.4 wordpress) to translate woocommerce and the theme to Russian. The translation worked fine. Then I got this error. In a half an hour i was unable to open the product pages. I still cannot do it even though i deactivated CodeStyling Localization plugin. I didn't install any other plugins. Please help me to get the product pages visible.

@Dude: thanks for the reply. Did you see this page: http://www.nieuwsmarkt.com/product/hd-compact-camera-sony/
Look at 'subtotaal', 'opties' and 'totaal'. Those fields are filled through a JavaScript routine, since these fields are dynamic depending on the value you choose at 'maak uw keuze'.

I have had this WooCommerce extension working in various other themes. I know it is always difficult to find the solution for these kinds of little bug(s). I am not a JavaScript specialist, know my way around in PHP and CSS modifications. But for this one I need some help.

Now that I am testing several things, it seems that WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-ons 2.1 does not 'calculate' within the theme. I added a simple form to a product to choose between some options. The options price, the subtotal price and total price remain empty.

After upgrading tot WooCommerce 2.0.3 it did not solve the problem. To me it looks like some javascript conflict, since in other themes after choosing the product in the store, the Gravity Forms Product Add-ons starts to calculate at the moment of choosing the product.

After upgrading Gravity Forms Product Add-ons to the latest version 2.2.2 the calculation is still not done.

Just wanted to let you know this, I will also send a message to WooThemes, maybe they can check the add-on as well.

Kind Regards,
- WooCommerce Product Finder 1.0.0
- WooCommerce Mollie iDEAL Gateway 1.6.4 (dutch gateway)

This combination works fine, no plugin conflicts, tabs are fine, number of products to order show fine etc.

today I noticed that wordpress.org has offically released the first beta of 3.5 version. I was wondering if there is also a new Shoutbox release on the way, because some times ago I tested the current version of SB on 3.5 alpha, but unfortunatly there were a lot of compatibility problems.
thanks in advance for your support
Giacomo

Hi Boris,

I'm not sure which issues NextGen and Newscast have but there are more plugins available than we can ever get acquainted with so the best advice I can give is to find one that matches what you are looking for and give it a try.

There is also a thread on Recommended Plugins here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/useful-plugins

Regards,

Hi Support,

after a quick search on this I got the impression those two don't work together well, and I had some problems, too. So I turned the plugin off, again.
Is that still the case (being incompatible?)

Can you recommend another plugin instead?

I need at least the possibility to organize pictures by author or topic and things a like.
I don't need fancy galleries and a million different options like nextgen offers, though.

Any infos and suggestions on this?

Thanks

Hi!

Did you try to deactivate all third party plugins? Maybe one causes your IE8 issues? Personally I can't test the website with a native IE8 installation but it works fine with IE9 (set to IE8 browser mode).

Best regards,
Peter
